Big changes may be about to happen. That or ESPN is sick of talking about Jameis Winston.
So big changes at Michigan.

If you are insinuating that Hoke will be fired mid-season, then you are out of your mind.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:25 PM ^
I have no idea what I'm insinuating honestly. Why else would ESPN cover our press conference?
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:34 PM ^
Because controversy and drama give them more people watching their channel at 12:30 monday afternoon, not exactly their primetime.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:49 PM ^
Because in another language, ESPN translates to "muckraker"?
September 22nd, 2014 at 1:24 PM ^
busting on ESPN.
September 22nd, 2014 at 1:51 PM ^
was that after they cut away from the Hoke presser they went to the Jimbo Fisher press conference a few minutes later!

Was just about to make a thread about this. Real interesting that ESPN is gonna air this. If he continues to be as blunt and mockingly annoying in this presser as he has been, it is NOT gonna be a good look when it's on a national scale.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:55 PM ^
Weeeeeeeell...
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:12 PM ^
Hoke resigns.
WTKA, MGoBlog, drupal and twitter all blow up.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:12 PM ^
There are only a few reasons ESPN would air this and it's not because Hoke is going to tell everyone about how we need to execute better. Major changes might be coming faster than anyone seriously thought.......
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
I'm with you. Michigan is not a hot enough topic to draw them in for a standard presser.
EDIT: I suppose I'm not familiar enough with ESPN's daytime programming to say that they wouldn't fly in for a normal press conference, but this still strikes me as odd.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
you are right. I have a 13 year old that watches ESPN all day (summer). Something is up. A 2-2 Mich team is not normally interesting to them.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:17 PM ^
They have a plan for the O line...and it's a good one.
Or maybe...they are going to plan and practice really well this week.

I don't really like Pollack. He seems to talk shit about every program not named Georgia. Plus, whenever he talks, he always seems bug-eyed.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
The two worst people to talk about sports ever. No thanks.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:29 PM ^
Think that might be the nicest thing ever written about them on the internet.

and Greg Robinson will be taking over as DC.

He'll get DeBord to run the scout spread team.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:17 PM ^
Can someone provide a link to the announcement?
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:18 PM ^
ESPN just airing this because what else is there to go over at 12:30 on Monday. Will be a terrible Hoke press conference about "expectations for the position," "execution." and "I gotta do a better job coaching." All crap.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
Yup. ESPN just smells blood in the water, and is releasing the sharks equipped with lasers and TV cameras in the hopes that they get some sort of Hoke meltdown or open confrontation.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
People love to smell blood in the water. They love to see people squirm and suffer when it's another team. On top of that, they love it more when it's Michigan that's in that position.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:37 PM ^
And ESPN isn't above throwing big buckets of chum into the water to get the bloodbath going.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
Uhh...it's ESPN. At 12:30 on a Monday they are usually plenty happy to cover all of the hot takes from Sunday's NFL action. This does strike me as odd.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:23 PM ^
why a 2-2 Michigan team??? Something is up. I'm getting nervous.

It gotta end!

Mr. BANE Green needs to realize that he is a power back and not get brought down by arm tackles.

Hoke would never quit on these kids. If he is fired at season's end, so be it but if you think he would voluntarily not follow through on the commitment he made to them and their families then you have not been paying attention the past 4 years.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:26 PM ^
This is nothing. No announcement.
That said, I don't like the fact this is getting national attention to this extent. Recruits watch ESPN.

Considering the game was on ESPN, not sure this really matters.

September 22nd, 2014 at 12:28 PM ^
He's not a quitter. I bet this is nothing.
I'm sure it's just so talking heads can pick apart his press conference and speculate when he will be fired because that's what ESPN loves to do.
This team desperately needs to go into a bunker fuck all of you mentality, I'm just not sure who's going to get them there.
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
It's not like they've been together a long time...
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
No way
September 22nd, 2014 at 12:34 PM ^
I hate turmoil and feel bad for the players. It will be a happy day when we are stable and good at football again.

He won't be resigning, this is ESPN covering what they perceive to be a dumpster fire, and what will be a very interesting story for the remainder of the season.
