Chip Kelly reportedly making $2 Million as OSU’s OC, making him the second highest paid assistant in the country behind… Jim Knowles
Imagine having the highest price tag in the industry for both your coordinators and having them be one of the most notorious assholes in coaching and Donovan Edward’s son. Just brutal
Also, the best part of this article is someone commenting “Good to see Baron Harkonnen landing on his feet”

They aren't afraid of putting pressure on themselves. If they lose this year, the fanbase will eat them alive.
We'll have subs. It will be crazy.
i took a look over at 11whiners the other day. they had a post about 'with harbaugh gone, who do we hate', and the posts were a combination of delusional, psychotic and mind-numbing. i mean, it was so bad that it was the kind of thing that makes you lose faith in humanity, and i'm not kidding. sick stuff from sick people.
Warde Manuel?
No, that's MGoBlog
I would imagine 11 Warriors loves Warde.
Just like they loved Rich Rod and Hoke.
And JH. Remember when they wanted him to sign a lifetime contract?
For those who can't read the Athletic, here's a similar article from a site that caters to those who can't read.
XM, you're a stronger man than I for wading through the 'who should we hate' piece there.
and the serious part also is that i've been a member there for quite a while and years back you could have a decent back-and-forth with folks there, some genuine fun. now, it is absolutely bat-guano crazy, with 0.0% chance of anything other than f michigan, tcun (incidentally, that means 'the CHAMPIONS up north), cheaterrzzz, etc. no rational thought, no self-reflection, just pure, stupid, ham-fisted hate.
Yes, the planet has, in general, lost the ability of reasoned (ad rem) discussion.
(It's okay, I'll show myself out now ...)
You needn’t. You're right. Sadly.
Years back as in before 3 consecutive losses...
When they were regularly kicking UMs butt they were somewhat civil....go figure.
actually, even after the first loss in 2021 they were way better than they are now.
worst state ever.
They thought it was the ultimate anomaly...figured UM would "eventually" win one...
but then it happened again and again...
Just as with the actual football program, 11W has a culture problem that starts at the top. For whatever reason, a lot of people seem to think Ramzy, their blogrunner, is a great writer with worthwhile content, but as SignGate showed in spades he's ultimately nothing more than BUCKNUT_42069 with a Grammarly account. People should remember that he's also the same guy who admitted that he, along with the rest of OSU's sycophantic mediasphere, "wrote around" Zach Smith being a shitty human being.
Against my better judgment, I checked out the site.
In addition to content, aesthetically it's symbolically apt: everything they see is black and white, visually and conceptually, plus red for anger.
It's very easy to be friendly and relaxed with your rivals when times are good. Look at buckeyejonross, who was a good member here for a decade. His last post was 11/24/2021.
When OSU was beating UM 10 of 11 years it was of course "cute" to have the little "walvies" come over and we pet them on the head and have a cordial discussion. Now its not that.
It's only Sparties who call us that.
OK but you have a selection filter in your sample so the only thing you can safely conclude without looking at other populations is that that particular set is sick as F.,
However, after considering another fan site such as Red Cedar Message Board it is possible that teams that consider themselves to be M’s rivals all have similar dysfunctions.

Oh the answer is still Harbaugh. The hilarious part is they think they’ve moved on from him.
It's funny because there are OSU fans who firmly know it's Natty or bust for Ryan Day then there are also some OSU fans absolutely in denial who are setting their expectations low on purpose knowing Day underperforms. If Day doesn't beat Michigan this year or doesn't make the final 4 in the playoff, there's zero chance he's back next year

The meltdown that will ensue after they fail to win a national championship will be glorious.
It'll be a combination of meltdown calling for Day's head from the majority of the fanbase then a minority of the fanbase who push the goalposts and make absurd excuses for Day how he continues to underachieve with these teams. They'll come up with something similar to this year who they claimed McCord was a "Syracuse level QB"
To be fair, the meltdown will be justified.
Ohio are about to have the most expensively purchased losses in CFB history.
Hard to stay on the big stage when you got a bunch of Elvises and nobody to push the crowd back.

Julian Sayin looked terrible on that series in their spring game.
If Julian Sayin is actually rising to be competing for the starting job, that's awful news for OSU's QB situation
Sayin is from out here in suburban San Diego in Carlsbad. I've been telling everyone on here that this kid is so overrated, he looks like he has to heave the ball on long throws.
I was SMH at reports of him impressing in spring ball. He's probably McNamara level if you ask me.
I'd be thrilled to have a McNamara level QB this year. As long as he had better leadership qualities than Cade.
He's not competing for the starting job. It's between Brown and that transfer - Howard (the preceived leader). Also, many of their following think Keinholz and Brown will transfer out in the upcoming Portal
Positively Raditz-ish
At this pace, the kid's nickname is gonna be "Just," not "Super."

Ryan Day needs a bunch of high priced baby sitters to do his job for him.
I thought we were paying Wink $2.3 million this year.
That's correct--a higher salary than Kelly or Knowles.
I don't know why the OP claims that OSU's assistants have the two highest salaries in the country. The Athletic article makes no such claim: it simply says that Kelly is the second-highest-paid assistant on the team, behind Knowles.
There was another article (maybe on3) that said OSU had the highest assistant pool in the country. That may be where it came from. That would be all assistants, not just the coordinators.
EDIT: $11.43 million for 10 on-field the assistants...
https://footballscoop.com/news/ohio-state-salary-pool-for-assistant-reportedly-reaches-all-time-high
I would much rather they spend lots of money on bad coaches rather than good athletes; so, it's all good.
Sometimes, the price of falling a bit short can be high. Fortunately for their football team, Ohio State is willing to spend a bit to witness things which fall markedly short of great.
Ryan Day has a punchable face
Sure, but then you've got hair dye all over your fist.
We venerate these guys, but a lot of them are. . . extremely awkward humans.

It definitely a problem. I discovered the source of his hair dye and it can get messy:
Hilarious
Desperation. You can smell it.
Not a bad eau de toilette name for Ryan Day.
Desperation is a stinky cologne.
If we beat them this year Day will be fired before he reaches the tunnel
