OTish: Former Wolverine CB, Andre Seldom Jr. back in portal after 2 very good years at NM State
After New Mexico State’s entire defensive staff and their head coach left, a lot of their players are leaving. One of those players is Andre Seldon, who was arguably their best defensive player. He started at nickel in 22 and then played outside corner last year and actually performed pretty well.
He’s looking to transfer back to a big school and is currently planning to visit the Wisconsin Badgers and Texas AM Aggies, among others. Any mutual interest there from our team and his camp? Knows the program and defensive scheme and proved himself worthy.

Very unlikely credits from his first two years will transfer—you know how the Admissions department is.

Yeah, we wouldn't want a guy who spent his first two years at ... Michigan.
Seriously, it's his fourth year of college so if he's able to graduate, he shouldn't have any problems. That'd be a nice pickup since he has two more years of eligibility.

Yeah, we wouldn't want a guy who spent his first two years at ... Michigan.
That's the joke!
But seriously, this would be a good pickup. Hopefully, Michigan can get a visit.

Interest, sure.
A&M in the mix….$$$$$
Unlikely.
If I’m a DB looking for the bag, looking $EC, Oregon. Not knocking any of these kids, btw…makes sense for many to get paid as NFL is not guaranteed.
If I’m a DB with the athleticism and measurables a for NFL, I’m looking Iowa, Michigan.
For both coaching to NFL and bag - Bama and UGA if they come calling.
ie. Domani Jackson - get paid while Saban unlocks your potential. Win-win

I’m all for these kids getting paid but some of these kids are short sighted. If you’re a high end recruit/transfer the goal should be to get to your second NFL contract. That is the generational money. Depending on the position certain programs should be at the top of player’s lists. Domani looking at M and Bama is a great example. Can’t blame him for picking Bama though.

Unfortunately since it's his second time, we can't say that he's seldom in the portal.

I didn’t realize that he and his half-brother (Myles Rowser) had landed at the same school. Rowser is also in the portal, apparently.

I want Zap Rowsdower.
December 30th, 2023 at 5:00 PM ^
So, Rowsdower, is that a stupid name, or…?

He always seemed like a good hardworking kid. I was disappointed he left in the first place.

He and his dad still post positively about Michigan so I assume there’s mutual respect. Obviously comes down to personnel needs/playing opportunities.

Wasn't his size one of the knocks against him? Has he managed to bulk up at all?
December 30th, 2023 at 3:14 PM ^
Barnhart confirmed he isn’t using his extra year.
Hinton, Trente, Priebus are the three locked in starters. Crippen and Raheem Anderson I assume are the C and G.

Good information. Seems misplaced as a response to the Seldon post.

Forget about El Hadi?
December 30th, 2023 at 4:47 PM ^
Hinton, Jones, Gentry will fight for OT spots.
Priebe and El Hadi likely take the OG spots.
Crippen and Anderson fight for the OC spot, my $ is on Anderson.

What about Persi?

Wish we had him two years ago.
