Did the Buckeyes “cool” on him?   And, is this just part of a weather pattern?  It seems like a cool front is descending on the Woody Hayes football facility in Columbus.

These are a LOT of guys leaving. Well beyond even the guys that everyone expects to declare for the draft. Guys are transferring out, their top recruit just de-committed, and Jeremiah Smith is not necessarily in the bag for them, either.

Do they know something we don't? Like if Day is flirting with a run to the NFL? Not saying he is, but it does seem odd that there's a lot of guys trying to leave, and they're guys who would've been starting or remained big contributors next year.

In my opinion, if I was Ryan Day, I would jumped to the NFL if given the chance. At his age (44), if it does not work out he can always come back to a top Power 4 school. Plus, the big advantage is you just get to coach in the NFL, you have a front office to deal with player management instead of every December/January having to rebuild your roster when guys leave for the portal/NFL, add in, no recruiting which I could not image having to do in this day and age.

I'll take him!

Seriously, a player that got his 1st carry of the season vs M in '22, he was tough & always fell forward for extra yards. I cursed his name in the most respectful manner!

And whenever given a chance by Cryin he did the same in '23. Perfect player for Michigan's system.

All that I keep reading is that they are filling those spots with 5 stars and all is perfectly fine. I remind people when needed that Air Noland is a lower rated qb than McCord was coming out of high school. Wah wah wah
