Yeah, although I remember the weirdness of HR Pufnstuf, LotL was definitely in my wheelhouse. The other Krofft brother still alive in his 90s.
Edit: And didn't McDonald's rob them with the McDonaldland characters?
Double Edit: Yes, it seems the Kroffts won in court.

Rest in peace Marty Krofft.
Out of curiosity, I did a quick search on HR Pufnstuf and found out Jack Wild (Jimmy) passed away in 2006 at the age of 54.

I wonder if Jimmy’s talking flute is still alive. That show freaked me out as a kid with the talking flute, talking trees, and witchy poo!

I always assumed it was the result of Marty Krofft dropping acid.

Those guys had to be high all the time, right?

The old rumor use to be HR meant Hand Rolled Puff n Stuff!

Me too, I loved land of the lost when I was 9 and 10. I remember HR puff n stuff when I was 6 and 7. Interesting that when I saw the latest version of Raiders of the lost ark, and Harrison Ford was waking up from a flash back HR Puff n Stuff was on his small television set before the loud Beatles music started in July of ‘69! Is his Brother Sid still alive. They also made the TV cartoon Sidney the Sea monster!

Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. I think this was Sigmund and he had a band of sea monster friends.

Yeah, that cartoon was freaky too. I can still remember all those cartoons from 50-55 years ago. But my favorites was Underdog and Scooby Doo!

Scooby Doo was must watch TV.

While also hosting the best late-night talk show in TV history

I remember other cartoons like Hong Kong Phooey, Inch High Private Eye, of course Bullwinkle, Speed Buggy, The Pink Panther, Mr. Magoo, Super Friends, The Harlem Globetrotters, Fat Albert, Quick Draw McGraw, Underdog, etc.
Schoolhouse Rock was awesome! Conjunction Junction, what's your function? Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses...

I remember all those Saturday morning cartoons. I say that the golden era of Saturday morning cartoons was the mid 60s through the mid 70s! Banana Splits was also a goofy cartoon.

There’s no need to fear… Underdog is here!

My friend and I pretended to be Burp and Slurp by putting sleeping bags over our heads and stumbling into each other in the hallway. It was all fun and games until I fell down the stairs.

The Krofft Super Show, featuring Kaptain Kool and the Kongs.

I totally forgot about that one

Total hack - shows were all garbage. May god have mercy on his uncreative soul.

Agreed...this is what happens when there is no competition for viewers.
November 27th, 2023 at 6:15 AM ^
Yeah LOTL was an absolute 70's classic. Not sure if others feel the same but any film from that era with those 70's soundtracks just takes me back. If you could bottle that feeling I'd buy it everyday.

This is probably known to many of a certain age, but just in case, Bill Laimbeer was one of the Sleestaks. EC-style: https://twitter.com/AP_Sports/status/1156553598865686528
I think Greenwood played for the Pistons, too.

Remember reading a case about HR Pufnstuf in law school where they sued McDonald's for copyright infringement over the McDonalds characters...

Amazing that the creator of HR Pufnstuf passed right as Michigan State hired another Jo(h)n Smith
