Game thread: Mens Hoops - Michigan at Indiana - 4:30 pm EST tip
The mens hoops team wraps up their regular season at Indiana, broadcast on CBS with an approximately 4:30 pm EST tip-off.
It’s as close to a “must win” as possible, with other action - both inside the B1G and other conference’s play - influencing which teams are in, almost in, on the bubble, last four in, first four out, etc…
Assembly Hall has a lot of history between the Maize & Blue and the Hoosiers.
Hoping for solid play and a win.
Go Blue!
Where's the over the back they called on us??
Just look gassed today
Somehow, some way we are not out of this game yet. But they have to start playing NOW.
I think they are kind of checked out though. Thursday night was a brutal loss.
Really sloppy so far. They definitely don’t seem locked in.
The thing with a coaches son. He has to play harder on D than anyone else, if if he sucks at it, at least has to appear his effort is higher. Instead, it's the other way. Juwan has a blind spot here, am sorry to say. Jace at least seems to hustle, not Jett.
Jace is a 3 and D guy without the 3.
Jett is a 3 and D guy without the D.
Michigan’s current extrapolated point total: 35. Yeesh.
The only silver lining to missing the tournament would be that hopefully it would compel Kobe to stay another year and force Howard to make changes with his assistant. This program needs a lot of work to become national contenders again.
Nah. Have some perspective here. They lost 4 key starters. Count Collins as one. I'll say that Juwan is going a good job with what he was, and they are green.
We don’t look very inspired out there. Maybe logging 50 minutes on the road on Thursday vs IU last playing at home on Tuesday will be the difference.
We are young and should have the urgency and athleticism to overcome the fatigue factor.
Athleticism?? That’s the main thing the team lacks
Cheddar, TWill, and Baker giving us NOTHING! Long droughts on offense is typical for this team.
We have 11 points. Nobody is giving us anything on offense
Tschetter isn't ready. Twill was better as a freshman, so strange. I'm confused why Baker is playing so poorly.
My Lord this team is AWFUL turnovers , missed fts, Brick shots..NO OFFENSE..just plain awful
over under on this game is like 145.
they'll have to play it twice to get there.
woof.
The 4 position has been a zero for.... how many years now?
Dickinson and Bufkin going to have to carry them, doesn’t look like anyone else has it today
Kobe has 0 points!
1 - McDaniel
2 - Bufkin
3 - Howard / TWill as an occasional defense/rebounding sub
4 - Reed
5 - Dickinson
Don't really see any other lineup that's reasonable right now. Other than Reed the bench is just not providing anything
Feels like we should be down by a lot more than we are.
This game could be a slow death of 1000 cuts. Indiana slowly but surely runs Michigan out of the gym.
25% shooting - half that from 3.
Lol, TWill air balls a 3...this your team Juwan, gj
Not a fan of Jett Dont see what all the fuss about him is
Michigan is not a well-coached team.
Every TWill shot I assume is a miss when it leaves his hand
Getting very close to calling for the GIF of the cowboy monkey riding the dog.
Williams can't be out there with the two big. No spacing
JFC this game is not watchable.
Not sure why we don't set more screens with the 4-man. When you have a player at a position that isn't skilled offensively, you get them involved in other ways. Setting screens & rolling, being an energy player.
But I guess we've seen how bad our screens have been all year...
Good god this offense looks like shit.
Setting a ball screen is completely useless for Jett. He can’t get by anyone
Twill kept us from getting that shot clock violation.
Holy fucking shit TWill really is walking BPONE, it's actually impressive
Playing 4 on 5 is hard.
Bench your sorry ass son and twill. Jfc season on line and this is the shit you came up with Juwan
This is just really sad to watch.
Awful offense
Almost all 100 high school players on this roster....this is a coaching problem
Remember when we were coming off a 1 seed and an Elite 8 run with the prospective #1 recruiting class?
And football had just gone 2-4 and people wanted Harbaugh fired?
Amazing how the situations flipped because I’m starting to seriously question Juwan as a coach. Maybe not as a play designer, but his talent evaluation is suspect. There’s four guys in the rotation that are complete negatives.
Hoping the team gets "hot" and start shooting 40% from two
At this point a bump up to 30% would be exciting.
you know, when we're this bad and getting thumped, in a weird way it makes it easier to watch. no expectation whatsoever of a win. looks like we are unfamiliar with the game of basketball.
4 field goals v. 6 turnovers. we stinketh
This team is very frustrating to watch. A ton of mistakes and very inconsistent effort.
Not big enough Dug!
Need more from Kobe
This is shameful offense . Where are the adjustments ? Same play every possession
Not well coached
Pitiful. Fucking pitiful.
Ole!
