Is Brian's post complete, or only partial?

Is it just me, or does Brian's 'Cosmic Rays' post seem to stop suddenly?  I get it if comments are turned off, but the ending just seems too abrupt - not the way his writing usually ends.

Just because there are not comments on the post and I just watched the highlights, there is a great, albeit incredibly painful, moment of cat and mouse between TCU and Michigan on the last TCU touchdown.  So many calculations have to be made.  Moore crowds the line of scrimmage, but Duggan waits a split second to recognize the blitz.  So much so that it appears as if Moore has an inclination to fall back into coverage and does not shoot off the line.  He probably gets there if he does.

Once the pass is complete, Johnson almost certainly has the first down, but he slows down a half step to bait Turner.  Turner, realizing what a huge stop this would be, takes the bait.  If the receiver does not slow down a beat, Turner has no chance to make the play and he breaks toward the sideline to stop a 10-12 yard gain but Michigan lives to play another series.

Good news - Will Johnson makes the play next year.  Bad news - It wasn't Will Johnson on that side of the field this year.

Michigan was on the wrong end of the play but man what a play it was to watch.

The play gutted me and I watched it several times and saw exactly what you saw... I was like WTF would Turner just not stop him after the fist down and live to play another series. That WR baited him into thinking he could stop him and he went for broke and Michigan got broke....

DJ was in position to push Johnston into the sideline short of the first down. If he used that position, it would have forced Johnston to either run over DJ or cut back to the field, at which point Will Johnson or Mike Morris would have been there to make the play. Instead, DJ committed to the open-field tackle at the 27, and the rest is history.

He does not have that closing speed.  He attempted the only play he had to stop them short of the first down.  He could have met him at the sticks but it would not have been short.  It still would have been the correct play in the circumstances.

Ahhhh, beer me!!!!

the abrupt end, combined with no open comment field, made me think it's either not finished.

that said, i'm not sure he needs to add anything.  he hit the nail on the head as to why that game's outcome is both tough to swallow and easy to accept - if one of any of a handful of plays go the other way, we're talking about a rematch with the Dawgs.

And here I was thinking he just wanted to avoid MOAR comments like this from grumpy MGoBloggers:

I HATE the officiating screw up didn't matter because still should've scored argument.  No next play, no fumble, no nothing but a Moody extra point needed to come after a clear TD was overruled by some anonymous pinhead in a review booth who faces no consequences and has no accountability to anyone - yet this is a multibillion business.  This isn't quaint cute little college football anymore where awww shucks they missed a call, good thing these kids are amateurs and it doesn't really matter.  Nope, it's a half step below the NFL at the highest level and officiating generally and replay specifically are just broken.  What kind of game is it when, more often than not, you have to beat the other team and hope to not get screwed by the officials?

"Maybe "fuck" is the only reasonable statement that can be made, after all."

Seems like that kind of sums it all up.  Not sure what else needs to be said.

It's complete. He said "game analysis can wait until the TCU UFR" and then he pointed out the thing he thought decided the game. That's all for now

I think it’s complete and he disabled the comments because nothing else needs to be said about the game and loss. There are dozens of other threads and thousands of posts about it already on this very blog.

First of all, thanks Brian.   We need the warm embrace of a fellow Michigan fan who cares as much as us.  I refreshed the blog at least 200 times Saturday night looking for the game recap and I am very grateful that Alex took on that painful yet comforting task.

If I had to guess I think he disabled the comments, which, I kinda get. Alex soothed our broken hearts and yet someone immediately hijacked the thread in the comments section and it took us about 50 angry back and forth's to get back on point. I suspect most of us were as annoyed as I was by that.

Which is about 1/1 billionth as annoyed as we are by how M was coached Saturday night. Nobody messes with linebackers like the Joe Moore award winning OL and coach Jim and our OC's. Until they decided to just try and run into the teeth of a massive dose of mindless run blitzes.

Go Blue forever
but...sigh.

It’s a glacial mistake.  Some TCU blog just picked up the rest of the post, outran Seth and scored.

Edit - that was supposed to lighthearted, but I may still be working through some feelings.

Sources close to Brian are telling me the post may be incomplete but they stress it is only a possibility and that post could just be shorter than usual or some type of glitch.

Stay tuned.

I quit reading after, " "Everything happens for a reason" is the biggest lie in the history of humanity." I've been waiting for someone to say that for so long...

Just your classic arrogant Nihilism. Just because our brains can't think of a good reason doesn't mean there isn't one. Reality is just a story your brain is telling itself so it can interface with whatever reality is and assign meaning to it.  The actual truth is we have no fucking clue about the degree to which things happen for a reason or don't at various levels of existence (molecularly, cellular, cosmos, etc.) and we never will and that's understandably uncomfortable for a lot of people. The annoying part is when others then decide they DO have an idea, like their some omniscient being instead of a human, and tell you what reality is.  In the same breath they say there can be no god or no meaning as if they could know that without being some kind of God like entity they say can't exist. Pretty fucking wild if you think about it.  Besides all that, even if there was no meaning, practically speaking, humans are still gonna live as if there is meaning because our perception of reality is literally all we have which makes it as meaningful as anything could possibly be from our limited perspective, relatively speaking.

Actually I was on a plane, and after some DishNetwork glitching I was assisting the crew with a passenger having a medical emergency, so didn't see much of the second half.  We were headed for the shuttle during the last few minutes, so I did get to watch that on my phone, and that was targeting as fuck.  I haven't gotten around to watching the whole game on the DVR, and don't know if I want to.
