Get your bum ass out of bed, it isn't about USC or OSU today!
While Utah looked a lot like us (read that as formidable), today is about derailing Purdue's Choo-Choo train. Lots of things to do before the game. What's your Championship Gameday ritual. For myself, I'm continuing what seems like an never ending drive across Texas. You know it's a long way when the first milage sign you see on I-10 outside of Beaumont read 880. I'll be thinking about the boys in all-blue and scoffing at the notion that this Purdue team has magical powers, despite the gas bags on Fox hardee-har-har'ing about how their the 'spoilermakers'. Not Today!
Go Blue,

Go Blue ! Drive sure!

Bring on Purdue, bring on TCU and bring on them Buckeyes. This team is special! Go Blue!!

Waive hello when you pass through Channelview 👋🏽👋🏽 Hail!

Perfect post from an OP named “grampy”. And I say “you’re damn right!” We’ve got the Big Ten championship right in front of us.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:39 AM ^
We wanna win, but not totally dominate and destroy Purdue because if Georgia barely beats LSU then there is a small chance they put us at number one and then we’ve got a play OSU again. If I have to play that bum school again, I’d rather do it in the championship game.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:05 AM ^
The committee will rig the standings however they want, irrespective of performance.
They probably don’t want rematches in the first round.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:23 AM ^
Thank you.
I think a lot of folks here are catastrophizing the idea of a Michigan-OSU rematch in the first round. The committee has shown repeatedly it will not have rematches in the first round.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:51 AM ^
Until it fucks UM, then they will
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:44 AM ^
Fucks UM? How? The only team I see that may take down UM is Georgia. OSU should be shitting it's bed to be embarrassed again by UM. They may or may not have BC. We already beat their ass without him in a hostile environment and without Morris. DE will be healed or close to it. More weeks of practice for Stokes to get better. The only person they might have to get better is JSN. Our OL will find a way to create holes. I am not worried about OSU.
December 3rd, 2022 at 10:58 AM ^
I think he means that the committee would have no problem with a seeding that hurt the Big 10 or Michigan. The no rematch policy is just a preference when teams are deemed equal or when it benefits the SEC.
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:21 AM ^
They claim that they don’t though. The trick is that it’s really hard to come up with a justification for not having Michigan 1 and OSU 4 if Michigan and TCU win and Georgia loses. Can’t keep Georgia ahead of Michigan, but you can’t really drop them or an undefeated TCU behind OSU.
Unless they hate rematches so much they just use that as an excuse to keep USC in it.
December 3rd, 2022 at 11:52 AM ^
They could justify dropping UGA to # 4 if they lose. Their loss would be to a three-loss team. OSU's loss would be to the # 1 (undefeated) team. They'll REALLY try to avoid a rematch in first round....and will say anything to justify it.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:31 AM ^
I highly doubt that if only because Purdue isn’t very good. But no need to stress about it. This team can handle whatever they throw at us.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:40 AM ^
It's 4:40am here, going back to snooze. Is that ok?
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:41 AM ^
Instructions were very clear, get your bum ass up. This is not optional.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:00 AM ^
Sorry, no excuses. My bad.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:03 AM ^
Dogs and I got up at 5am and did a few miles in the rain. They loved it. Now, time for some eggs and bacon. Then choring and finding ways to keep busy until kickoff.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:36 AM ^
Sounds like my day. Long walk with the dog, big breakfast and chores.
Go Blue!
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:44 AM ^
My standard poodle “Blue” doesn’t really like the rain. He has no problem, however, with the bitter cold and will drag me and my lard ass out in the most frigid weather.
December 3rd, 2022 at 11:01 AM ^
No kidding. I bought zero-degree mittens to walk the dog on cold evenings. High quality gloves weren't good enough.
December 3rd, 2022 at 11:02 AM ^
Thank goodness naps were invented

Wondering how you were reading this anyway... does an alarm go off when there's a new MGoBlog thread?

Absolutely. Michigan fans need to take on the attitude of the team. Bring on anyone! Who cares if OSU gets in the playoff

Alabama and USC

Bring on anyone! Bring on OSU again! Ass kicking #3 has a beautiful ring to it
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:50 AM ^
Go Blue! Michigan will roll tonight!
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:50 AM ^
Losing to OSU in the playoffs would be the ultimate Super Saiyan final form dong punch of the millennium. My future children's children would cry out in infinite pain and I will fall into an eternal BPONE hellscape where even 12-0 seasons end with an OSU loss.
December 3rd, 2022 at 10:07 AM ^
It won't happen. A team that was played close by PSU, MD etc. And got blown out at home by UM without their two best players is not to be worried.
If it happens.we are still 1-1 for the season.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:54 AM ^
No Internet in the boonies most of yesterday and so far today. May end up missing the game.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:03 AM ^
I was able to 5G for one game this year, no issues. Do you have that url?
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:04 AM ^
if you head out, now, you can reach civilization and a bar that has the game by kickoff. Be a Happy Warrior.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:26 AM ^
Funny.
actually, I’ve got some work to do, Some running in the snow, and then I’m getting on the big tractor and gonna be moving some rather large boulders on the edge of our of cornfield. It’ll be a full day.
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:00 AM ^
You good on candles and whale oil?
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:25 AM ^
you laugh, but our heater went out wednesday a.m. so we heated our little house with wood in our wood stove. it works pretty well, especially if you use a couple of fans to move the warm air down the hallway. i got a new heat unit yesterday and a buddy of mine installed it so we are good to go.
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:57 AM ^
Bet you're glad the Mastodon rut is over. Trying times those.
On the wood stove side I am addicted to My Self Reliance with Shawn James on YouTube where he builds and lives a log cabin life. 3/4's of me is all for it. The rest is pure city slicker.
Your mentions of farm activities give me that vibe so I tease. My whole heritage are farmers from the Thumb. Belgian draft horses for plowing until my Grandpa and his brother had enough and moved to the city D to work. Next to and much like the Amish who are still the old neighbors.
December 3rd, 2022 at 10:07 AM ^
you are funny (not being sarcastic). well, we do have a bit of self-reliance for real on the farm. food, crops, water, i built a bio-diesel reactor in the barn so i can make diesel fuel, and of course we have firewood for eternity. i didn't build this particular house though, but we bought it from the builder who lived here and then moved out east after a year. not fancy or big, but well thought out and suits our needs just fine.
and the amish, well, have done business with them for years as they aren't too far down the road. fond of them and their quirks. they do have the most magnificent draft horses.
December 3rd, 2022 at 10:16 AM ^
I thought about bio-diesel and making it (upon retirement and buying some land) as well as a practicality and hobby but current environment not friendly to that direction. Always wanted a stream on land for a micro-turbine and whatever lighting propulsion I could rig up from there. Lot of work but less...reliance. Like heating by firewood.

If youre a fan of Top Gear/The Gramd Tour you need to watch Clarksons Farm. Seeing Jeremy Clarkson try to farm is funny and uplifting

Seeing him drink is also funny and uplifting.

Do you guys have Starlink up there?
December 3rd, 2022 at 9:27 AM ^
i guess we do and asking my coaching buddies about it this morning via text chain, they say there is a 2 yr wait list. cost is significantly greater, too, but our internet when it works is barely better than a dial-up modem.
December 3rd, 2022 at 7:58 AM ^
I have a lucky Michigan T-shirt that I started wearing last season...we are 24-0 when wearing it, and 0-2 (MSU and Georgia losses while travelling) while not wearing it.
The shirt is ready to be worn.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:05 AM ^
25 wears without a wash? It probably can stand up by itself at this point. Well done!
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:22 AM ^
True, but his dog is not amused. 👀
December 3rd, 2022 at 1:22 PM ^
Rest his soul.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:41 AM ^
Made a mistake...24-0 and it has been washed after each victory and carefully put away in a special, sacred place until it is needed for the next game.
December 3rd, 2022 at 8:49 AM ^
Good! That shirt conveys super powers! 👍
