Harbaugh “all good” with planting M flag at OSU
Brady Hoke would have apologized!
November 27th, 2022 at 7:11 PM ^
Ohio State tore down the M Club Banner in 1973, so screw 'em. ;-)
November 27th, 2022 at 7:35 PM ^
Yep. I always hear Osu fans say how great it would be if they do it again
November 27th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
At least for me, the result on the field was enough. IMO, no need for bulletin board material for future years. Win, and lose with grace.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:34 PM ^
Bulletin board material doesn't change anything in this rivalry. The contempt for the other is already at 100%, and there is nothing to change that.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:52 PM ^
The relationship between fan bases and players for each school is different. With sparty (lower case "s" not accidental) both fans and players hate each other. With OSU the fans hate each other but there has always been some level of respect among players.
The fourth quarter of yesterday's game did more to embarrass the Buckeyes than any flag at midfield ever could, and I loved every single one of those 900 seconds.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:41 PM ^
Bulletin Board material is Harbaugh publicly calling Ryan Day a spoon fed bitch AFTER whooping his ass last year.
That worked great....
Lmao.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:30 PM ^
Exactly, rogaine day was publically humiliated and then they were again humiliated by Desmond at the heisman ceremony and got pounded even worse. You are being an absolute ninny.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:55 PM ^
As others have noted, OSU obsesses about Michigan 24/7 365. This occurs even in bad UM years. I can't imagine any of their self-interested mercenaries were bothered very much when the flag was planted.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:42 PM ^
November 27th, 2022 at 9:36 PM ^
Charles Woodson loved it…change your handle.
November 28th, 2022 at 7:55 AM ^
Ok buddy. I'll get right on that!
November 28th, 2022 at 1:43 AM ^
Win, and lose with grace.
Normally, I would agree with you.
But fuck ohio. Fuck that fanbase. Fuck that school.
Someone from ohio wouldn't think twice about throwing a glass bottle full of piss at you.
Someone from ohio wouldn't think twice about taking a shit on your car and arranging it in the shape of an O.
Someone from ohio wouldn't think twice about vandalizing your car for no other reason than "Michigan".
Someone from ohio wouldn't think twice about assaulting you for no other reason than "Michigan".
Someone from ohio wouldn't think twice about stealing from you.
I'm 100% okay with the flag plant.
Fuck ohio.
November 28th, 2022 at 7:57 AM ^
Perhaps "grace" wasn't the exact right word - "act like you've been there before" is probably more of what I was going for. You don't see Bama/Georgia planting flags. I knew it would be an unpopular opinion because everyone is all jacked up about the W - but I'm more of a Barry Sanders type guy. Just shut the fuck up, win on the field and leave the flag planting for Sparty types. Just my $.02.
November 28th, 2022 at 9:29 AM ^

Yep. I hear you. (and FWIW, didn't neg the post I was replying to)
We're 99.9% aligned otherwise.
Just not in this case; I believe it warrants an exception.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:59 AM ^
Cheers, mate!
November 27th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
Great teams taunt.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:34 PM ^
I don’t have any issue with the flag thing, but I don’t generally think this is true. When I watch Bama play, they are the least “taunt-y” team in the nation. Eventually you act like you’ve been there before.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
Special exceptions for Bama because Saban would literally murder them if they got a 15 yarder for taunting.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:49 PM ^
That is true. Harbaugh doesn’t use the death penalty so I guess it isn’t apples to apples.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:46 PM ^
Bama this season is the most un-disciplined they’ve been under Saban. Hopefully, this means his ultra-competitive attention to detail is waning and he’s headed for retirement.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:51 PM ^
I think he has already announced his retirement.
And when I say “retirement” I mean taking the OSU job in 2024 and building an even bigger death machine.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:53 PM ^
Auburn has been shit for a long time except for a couple of years. It is not the same for them beating up on other teams. Rivalry games are different.
November 27th, 2022 at 11:49 PM ^
But we haven't been here before. Let the boys get their swagger.
November 28th, 2022 at 12:30 PM ^
Bama players trash talk on the field all the time.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
M is going to plant their flag on OSU's team bus next year after beating their asses for the third time in a row.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:12 AM ^
You know what I havent heard the last 3 days?
"You guys get 1 win in 15 years and all the sudden youre better than us"
That shit has come to a stop after 2 straight beatdowns. Thats why they needed that 22 point win in their house. I havent seen one single "Wait until next year" comment.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:19 PM ^
Good. Fuck them and their spoiled fanbase and their shit talking coach. “We’re going to hang a hundred on ‘‘em.” Enjoy that. They’re melting down at 11 Whiners over how Harbaugh doesn’t respect Day. To which I say, good. Day hasn’t done anything to earn anyone’s respect.
November 28th, 2022 at 10:13 AM ^
Listen, when Day said they were going to hang 100 on Michigan he wasnt being specific. He meant over the next 4 games... He's half way there.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:22 PM ^
"I want to get that flag and put it in our museum"
November 27th, 2022 at 7:22 PM ^
They are going to TP their bus next year with Charmin soft. Kidding... All good. If OSU need this for motivation, they are in for trouble. Like Harbaugh said, there is a century long rivalry and enough motivation.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
Good. Couldn't be happier... Especially after watching the osu post game presser. Effing lot of them are all about "what they did wrong" instead of what Michigan did right. No one admitted to getting beat by a better team.
Screw em.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:31 PM ^
1st thing they did was continuing to roll with that shit defensive scheme after we sniffed it out. They paid 2 mill for that lol. Looked like Don Brown was in the press box.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
Dukman, you and several others don’t appear too impressed with Knowles and their defensive schemes. Respectfully, I disagree - and disagree strongly: I love the Buckeyes D, their schemes, effort, etc. I hope they double down and don’t change a thing…
November 27th, 2022 at 9:06 PM ^
Oh don’t get me wrong, not making adjustments was a beautiful thing to watch.
November 27th, 2022 at 10:04 PM ^
Agree. Out of Schadenfreude I watched the OSU postgame pressers. Ryan Day’s was notable in that he seemingly took zero accountability and also did not credit Michigan. He did mention “execution” which is a term mostly referring to players—No class. In stark contrast, their DC repeatedly held himself accountable. Stroud seemed like a good kid who was upset about the loss, but had a good attitude and left it all on the field.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
F*CK OHiO ST! Plant 2 next time.
This is the mindset needed going forward!
November 27th, 2022 at 8:01 PM ^
i think our mindset is pretty good already.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
Not like it hurt anything (other than Buckeye pride, which was already smarting). Flag goes in, flag comes out, everyone goes on with their day. It's not like we spray painted maize M's all over the visitor's locker room.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:34 PM ^
It’s not like we mobbed one of their injured players and beat him on the ground or held his teammate in place while we bashed his brains with a helmet.
This is harmless rivalry shit. As you say, no one got hurt except the fee-fees of idiots who take this stuff way too seriously. Hopefully they do something awesome for their fans the next time they win. And hopefully, that won’t be anytime soon!
November 27th, 2022 at 7:36 PM ^
Honestly though, how does a flag go in field turf?
November 27th, 2022 at 7:38 PM ^
Well first you need a secret sound stage. . .
November 27th, 2022 at 7:50 PM ^
It doesn't, and didn't. If you watch closely, it just kind of bounces but Sainristill holds it pretty securely. No harm was done, it's on a blunt pole.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:00 PM ^
Ok I haven’t watched the video. He should have used a railroad spike but whatever.
November 27th, 2022 at 10:20 PM ^
Not the kind of damage cleats will make on the center of a grass field at... Say... Spartan Stadium.
November 28th, 2022 at 1:46 AM ^
Which RCMB actually uses as an example of justification for the tunnel assualt.
November 28th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
Dang- an opportunity missed (in reference to not spray painting "M"s in the locker room).
November 27th, 2022 at 7:31 PM ^
Nobody can argue with it, they certainly earned it. They planted the flag in every way possible with their play during the game, the flag after was just a formality.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:35 PM ^
If they agree to stop singing their stupid song on other teams’ fields after games, then we will stop planting flags.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:38 PM ^
Full quote: “All good. Would’ve preferred it were planted directly up Coach Day’s asshole. Shitbird got bumped back to second base after this massacre.”
Damn, Jim! Tell us what you really think!
