3.5 Days Out - Rain in the Forecast
November 22nd, 2022 at 11:25 PM ^
Should have clarified, the above forecast is for Columbus, OH.

May the football gods heal Blake Corum and Donavan Edwards. Do we need to sacrifice a G.O.A.T or something? Sorry, Tom Brady.
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:37 AM ^
Tom is in enough of a world hurt this far -- got caught up in the biggest financial scam since Madoff and his newly minted ex-wife is banging a friend of the family.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:38 AM ^
Ex-friend of the broken family now.
November 23rd, 2022 at 7:02 AM ^
I looked for something conclusive here and found ... nothing:

Way, way OT: Former Wolverine Patrick Kugler's dad, Sean, was fired by the Arizona Cardinals for some kind of "incident." He was the UT El Paso (UTEP) coach a few years ago.
November 23rd, 2022 at 7:43 AM ^
Why does Tom give a rats ass about who she's banging? They're DIVORCED - it's none of his business. Also, the 'family friend' was the yoga instructor. I mean, talk about cliché... No longer a freind of Tom's probably, but still none of his business.
November 23rd, 2022 at 10:28 AM ^
When your children are spending time with your ex's new partner, it is your business. If my ex had been dating an abuser, a drug addict, etc,, I would have inserted myself into the situation.
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:49 AM ^
I would think some pasties with gravy (from a jar) would be just what the doctor ordered.
Too bad there's not enough time for Blake and Donovan to come out camping with the blog. That'd be the best way to get them running, injured or not.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:26 AM ^
So....the MGoBlog camping trip is finally happening? About damn time. I can't wait to bust out my new hobo pie makers. Can someone please send me the flyer? Thanks in advance.
November 23rd, 2022 at 8:18 AM ^
Here we go again. Gravy on pasty? I can't help feeling that's a recent addition. No Cornish miner took a pasty in the mine for a meal and carried a jar of gravy. Part of the point of a pasty was its sealed construction meant it'd stay somewhat warm but gravy would inevitably be cold.
Or MAYBE you mean the use of "gravy"—common in parts of New York at least—to refer to spaghetti sauce.

Or maybe just one of his ring fingers?

I have the flu. Feel like shit. Can't perform.
November 22nd, 2022 at 11:44 PM ^
1/4" over an entire day isn't much.
November 22nd, 2022 at 11:46 PM ^
Quarter of an inch doesn't sound like much, but I guess it depends on what time it hits. 9 mph wind is the thing I'm looking at more, and 9 is not that much.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:47 AM ^
Can any of the ladies out there confirm this?
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:11 AM ^
Hoping for the gales of November.
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:19 AM ^
There's a storm moving in from the southeast.
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:26 AM ^
Honestly, all this hope for shitty weather is a bad look for Michigan fans. It shows your fear and self doubt. We should be asking to beat them at their best game, hope they are at full strength and still run it down their throats. Go ahead and be bitchmade and do a rain dance, but that is some weak ass p$&@ys shit and you should be embarrassed and feel shame.
Get a life
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:36 AM ^
Nah, I hope it snows 3 feet and Stroud has a boo boo and Ryan Day's beard goes gray.
November 23rd, 2022 at 5:03 AM ^
Or at least his beard grows in by Saturday. He looks like my blonde haired, fair skinned 16 year old trying to grow a top gun maverick mustache.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:35 AM ^
If you don't know that he must dye that thing daily, there's no hope for you. It's gotta be the fakest-looking beard in cfb. His reminds me of that SF Giants closer's beard a few years back. Also dyed black.
November 23rd, 2022 at 9:37 AM ^
I was thinking that too. No way in hell that beard doesnt have gray in it.
November 23rd, 2022 at 12:39 AM ^
Honestly, all this hope for shitty weather is a bad look for Michigan fans.
So is the incessant 42-27 jokes.
Like win more than twice in 20 years and then try that shit.
Didn't this fanbase learn anything from the 3-9 shtick?
November 23rd, 2022 at 1:57 AM ^
Yeah, if only the fans would learn fro past mistakes and grow up....take it more seriously.
Sorry, I don't think it works that way.
November 23rd, 2022 at 4:17 AM ^
We learned that there will be between 5 and 7 of these posts complaining about the MSU joke all offseason?
November 23rd, 2022 at 8:29 AM ^
well here's a visual for your enjoyment
November 23rd, 2022 at 8:57 AM ^
Going to the diamond mark of 60 this weekend!
Go Blue
Love this team
November 23rd, 2022 at 9:58 AM ^
WTF does the weather have to do with the last 20 years?
November 23rd, 2022 at 2:09 AM ^
Like… chill, man
November 23rd, 2022 at 5:57 AM ^
seems pretty harmless to hope for weather that might play to our strengths and make things harder for our opponent, but by all means, please define a “good look for michigan fans,” o arbiter of proper, “non-p***-assed” discussion points.
November 23rd, 2022 at 7:42 AM ^
Please tell me more about getting a life as you tough talk a bunch of strangers online at 12:30 in the morning.
I don't care if half their team misses the game because they have diarrhea. No OSU fan is giving back wins over RR, teams with broken QBs, teams with no QB, etc. You think they're giving back the 2016 ref-aided win? Hell no.
Get over yourself. Take the win any way you can get it.
November 23rd, 2022 at 10:02 AM ^
This. Zero apologies from OSU for kicking the shit out of some of the worst UM teams with injured players. OSU has had a better program for a considerable amount of time, no one is arguing that. Hell even when Michigan was pounding Cooper it was usually in a spoiler role. The "act like you have been there before crowd" or "let's win two in a row before we are alowed to even think of saying a word" is not how rilvaries work. You win you get to pound your chest, you lose you have to take it and try again next year.
My kid is 20 and loves Michigan football, he still talks about how awesome last year was and is excited for Saturday. He literrally "has not been here before" and is enjoying the ride. Enjoy the ride, cheer your ass off, and hope you get another year of bragging rights. No one will remember how you got there, just get there.
Go Blue!
November 23rd, 2022 at 9:29 AM ^
With respect to the fear and doubt, I think it’s the other way around. I feel like most Michigan fans believe Michigan can win in any weather, whereas Ohio is terrified of the forecast, because they can’t win in certain conditions. For us, it’s just an added benefit; for them, it’s everything.
November 23rd, 2022 at 9:35 AM ^
shut the fuck up
November 23rd, 2022 at 1:25 AM ^
I anticipate a lot of consistent marginal holding by OSU as their way of proving they're tough in the trenches, kind of like how Illinois did.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:31 AM ^
Or you could substitute egregious for consistent. It won't be the first time that has happened.
November 23rd, 2022 at 7:06 AM ^
Whether marginal or egregious - the officials calling the infraction is what matters, and calling it consistently - both ways - is what it’s about.
November 23rd, 2022 at 1:34 AM ^
Can we crowdfund a cloud seeding project to ensure that there 100% chance of a thunderstorm above Ohio stadium this Sunday?
November 23rd, 2022 at 4:46 AM ^
Who ever handles their wet balls the best will win the game!
BALL SECURITY!
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:10 AM ^
Maybe their lifters will keep theirs out of the rain.
November 23rd, 2022 at 5:46 AM ^
Wouldn’t rain make it difficult to get traction? And affect the run game negatively? Please tell me I’m wrong…
November 23rd, 2022 at 7:02 AM ^
Not on the turf used in quality stadiums today. I can't speak for the facility in Columbus.
November 23rd, 2022 at 9:34 AM ^
Rain favors the O line. They know where they are going and the D has to react. Slippery footing is harder on the D in all aspects EXCEPT pass rush. Which is the only time it’s reversed. D player knows where he’s going and the O lineman must react.

Narrative from ABC in Columbus from Wed AM. Looks like rain will be late in the game or not at all.
https://abc6onyourside.com/weather
This weekend we will have another round of rain and this round will have more rain. Saturday morning will start dry and chilly, mid 30s. We will have increasing clouds on Saturday and warm up to 54 for the high. Rain will return later on Saturday and each hour through the afternoon and evening the chance of rain will go up, but most rain looks to hold off until Saturday night and early Sunday.
November 23rd, 2022 at 6:10 AM ^

Being a weather geek my whole life, I prefer to read the local NWS weather discussion. They are saying rain late Saturday but not sure HOW late. I wouldn’t count on rain for the game. Discussion here for other fellow geeks. Need to scroll down to the “long range” portion:
November 23rd, 2022 at 8:28 AM ^
Looks like the rain is holding off until after the game, perfect timing to mix in with Buckeye tears.
