15 Super Bowl players with Michigan ties (8 LA 7 Cin)
"Eight players with Michigan connections are now Super Bowl champions, thanks to the Los Angeles Rams 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Three are former Detroit Lions, two played at the University of Michigan, one at Michigan State University, one at Detroit Renaissance High School and one was born in Southfield.
The Bengals had seven players on their team with Michigan ties. Here’s a map showing the 15 Michigan-related players on the Rams and Bengals...."

I think the title should have said "players with ties to the state of Michigan." It is pretty cool though.

Yeah you're right title could have been better thought about that after I posted but unable to edit :(

He's got a little "Johnny Bench" in his left hand. Holding a beer, his phone, and a cigar!

I know it...that picture screams "Joy"

Not to nitpick, but at least one of those seems like a huge stretch ("born in Southfield, moved to Georgia shortly thereafter"). But I guess it depends on what the word "ties" means. I am pretty sure some other players have visited Michigan, maybe vacationed here, dated or married someone from Michigan, go stuck in DTW while on their way to the west coast on a Delta flight, etc. Those are all "ties," one could argue.
And most liberally, if we use "ties" = "has at least one hand shaped like the state of Michigan," then I think 100% of the players in Sunday's game have "ties" to Michigan.

Are you this nitpicky of the children you snatch near the sewer grates Pennywise?

Not really, no. As long as they float, it's all good. That's important, because if they don't float I have to be all like, "seriously, you don't float?? We ALL float down here! You're going to be a pain in the ass for eternity, aren't you? Ugh..."

Made me laugh this morning thanks ugly

Wait, I thought only witches float while normal people sink. Do you burn also? Because it's an established fact that witches burn. Now I really need to know, are you a witch or a clown? BURN HIM!

Still one of the greatest lines in the history of film: "Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony."

Not sure that would have applied last year; didn't JPP play for Tampa?

He did clarify one hand, ha!

It seems to me that born in Michigan with family still around, or lived in Michigan, qualifies as a tie to Michigan.
Of course many other definitions could apply to "ties" in this post. Are you a lawyer? Do you want to see people's papers?

Cooper Kupp stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Detroit last off season.

Two p's, one Kupp

Really think Cooper Kupp should get an endorsement deal with Keurig.

Did you know that 100% of the players on the field Sunday have ties to football?
↑↑↑ just as relevant to UM football as OP's obtuse stat.

Did you also know that Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson was in L.A. for the game and did a pizza review? He said the pizza was good but average.
February 15th, 2022 at 1:03 PM ^
Um yea. It's NYC-style pizza, what did you expect? :)

I wouldn't trust LA to make a good pizza anyway.

I hear there are some places that make a decent pie. One of them isn't LeBron's pizza joint. And this guy might want to have a word with you about your comment because his SLICES pizza is legit!

Someone needs to analyze how many players left the lions to win a super bowl somewhere else

But what about the bad apples from other schools?

They missed Chris Evans. He had a catch for the bengals.
