Tay'shawn Trent to Youngstown St.
Guessing he wasn't able to get the grads up, but congrats to him. They'll find you if you're good enough, ball out and get a degree.

I didn't get my grades up, or I'd know the difference between grades and grads.

Hey, the important thing is that you grade-uated!

OP, don't let these other posters degrad you like that. You'll figure it out gradeually.

Kids like this may benefit from the new transfer rules and the influence of the portal. Start on a degree, show out, and a Power 5 school may come calling.
Wish him well. I believe he was friends with a couple guys in the team. I’m sure it’s disappointing not be able to play with them next season

There was post the other day that had the reasons why some recruits didn't pick Michigan. Trent said Michigan wanted him to play defense and he wanted to play WR. That was it.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good crootin story.

So everyone is wrong and the reason he's playing FCS is because he wants to play defense.
Yeah, okay.

There are over 100 FBS schools and one of the top 10-15 wanted him.
But he lands at and FCS school to play a different positon?
We don't believe you, you need more people.
There would've been someone in FBS willing to let him kick if that's what his heart desired. You think a MAC school wouldn't let him play D?
Come on now.

Wish him well; hopefully he'll do well at YSU. If he's able to do well enough there he'll get to transfer out if he wants to.

Youngstown is a very interesting place.

Definitely gives me a good reason to keep up an eye on YSU this year. I hope he does well!
