But did his announcement come from a helicopter?
December 29th, 2020 at 5:45 PM ^
“I flew in on a HELICOPTER!”
December 29th, 2020 at 6:58 PM ^
Article is from 2016.
December 29th, 2020 at 7:04 PM ^
He's in the portal now.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:05 PM ^
6th-year seniors are the foundation of all the great teams.
December 30th, 2020 at 5:07 PM ^
...and had a sleepover..........lotsa milk too!
December 29th, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
Wow. Sounds like a firm handshake. Gearing up for the transfer market.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:32 PM ^
Transfer portal would probably be a better option for him.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
Ok...
December 29th, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
Dude has one hell of a leg. But he’s got to be waaay more consistent and waaay less cocky
December 29th, 2020 at 5:39 PM ^
like a special teams version of Ryan Mallett
December 29th, 2020 at 5:42 PM ^
He didn't puss out on the team after 1 year.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:41 PM ^
His problem seems to be above the shoulders, till he gets that straightened out it doesn't matter how strong his leg is.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:51 PM ^
Maybe he needs glasses? Hell, it helped Ricky Vaughn!
December 29th, 2020 at 6:16 PM ^
He kind of seemed like a bit of a cancer. Always yelling at someone when he missed a kick
December 29th, 2020 at 5:22 PM ^
The only thing that comes to mind on this one is....whatever (shoulder shrug)
December 29th, 2020 at 5:26 PM ^
Quinn has a million dollar leg and a ten cent attitude.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:41 PM ^
It's amazing you would say something like this, and not "good" amazing.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:56 PM ^
Do you know Quinn Nordin personally? Sincere question.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:49 PM ^
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
December 29th, 2020 at 5:27 PM ^
That's the 2nd player declaring early for a draft in which he won't be picked.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:31 PM ^
It will not be the last player leaving, either declaring for the draft or entering the portal. It must be a really bad team atmosphere under Harbaugh.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:59 PM ^
It's insane you're getting down voted for this. Everything we hear points to this being absolutely true. But now that Harbaugh hasn't lost a game in a month, everyone's back on board the Harbaugh train.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:19 PM ^
Players declaring for the draft is typical. Players transferring is also normal. These will happen no matter if the team culture is good, great, or garbage. It isn’t garbage or else they would not continue to have many players come back and many good recruits sign.
Did the team suck this year? Fuck yeah. Is this a clue as to why—no.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:11 PM ^
It isn't normal to have so many players leave early that won't be picked until later rounds or not at all no matter how many times you say it.
Higdon wasn't drafted, McGrone won't be drafted, Chris Evans won't be drafted, DPJ wasn't drafted until the 6th round. It absolutely plays a role in why we have to have players play before they're ready every year and why we can't build a team on experience like Wisconsin.
Mayfield is out, Ambry Thomas opted out, Nico opted out, Dylan McCaffrey didn't even think enough of the team/coaches to play yet he stayed on campus.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
You’re right! All the people that came back don’t mean anything in regards to the coaches and all the people that leave, especially the kicker, mean the coaches lost the locker room. Good call!
December 29th, 2020 at 10:13 PM ^
Compare the list of guys who have chosen to come back vs leave early since 2016. It's not close.
December 29th, 2020 at 11:06 PM ^
You just don't get it, do you? People leave for a number of reasons. Some want to make money, some think they're ready even though it would perhaps be best to stick around for another year and, sure, others leave because they don't like the coaches. You are lumping all of these into the last basket even though both you and I know it's bullshit because you have no way of knowing whether it is actually the case.
This whole "Compare the list of guys who have chosen to come back vs leave early since 2016" is bullshit as well. Who are we comparing? Does it include people like Mason, Paye, or Kemp, not to mention people like Hutchinson, Nico, and Ambry etc. All of them could have left and either been drafted or became UDFAs if they hated the coaching staff so much.
But if you still want to play this game, we can. You name someone who left early and I'll follow with an upperclassman who stayed. It won't turn out like you expect. Ready...Set...Go!
December 30th, 2020 at 7:45 AM ^
Sure every program will have people leave early. But OSU has guys stay even when they're projected 1st or 2nd round picks damn near every year.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:40 PM ^
Higdon didn’t leave early did he? he graduated and skipped out on the bowl game
December 29th, 2020 at 10:34 PM ^
Higdon is bar far the best RB Michigan has had in 6-7 years...and dude didn’t play one down in the NFL. Man, our RB talent has to be historically bad (measuring it by RB that actually get drafted).
December 29th, 2020 at 7:07 PM ^
Yep I've noticed that too. They need to rewatch some of our blowouts. Start with the last two Wisconsin games then move onto the OSU shellackings, finish with any of the last 4 bowl losses.
December 29th, 2020 at 9:17 PM ^
FSU and South Carolina were one-score games where we led in the 4th quarter, and Bama was close until the fourth quarter. The only real blowout in a bowl was to Florida. We're fairly unlucky to be 1-4 in bowls under Harbaugh.
The last two OSU games were indeed ugly, and I'm happy that we're going in a new direction defensively.
December 29th, 2020 at 10:10 PM ^
Calling the FSU and South Carolina collapses "unlucky" is why other fan bases can't stand Michigan or its fans.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:16 PM ^
So we should just ignore people like Hutch (this year) or Nico (last year) deciding to stay with the program and the coaches? I just don't see how Nordin's decision to leave is such a stain on this coaching staff but Hutchinson's decision to stay means nothing.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:33 PM ^
& 1 announced his return when he would’ve...
could be some roster cleansing. No problem with that but the defections every year need to be managed better. Whether that be through more consistent recruiting or transfer portal.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:30 PM ^
Clearly didn’t want to be coached by someone who never played the position....
/s in case it’s not entirely clear.
December 29th, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
A) There has been a lot of attrition under Harbaugh.
B) Attrition is increasingly the norm in CFB.
A and B are not mutually exclusive.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:34 PM ^
This completes, quite possibly, the most HARBAUGH storyline of the Harbaugh era.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:50 PM ^
December 29th, 2020 at 6:14 PM ^
Their Michigan careers have somewhat mirrored each other. 2 peas in a very rotten pod.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:30 PM ^
Terrible take.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
In other words, the curse has been lifted.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:34 PM ^
Not to sound rude but I’m kind of glad to not have a headcase, nut job of a kicker next season.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:43 PM ^
Moody is a lot worse.
Can't kick for shit.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:49 PM ^
Horrible take. Jake beat out Quinn this fall and had a bad night in Minnesota. Jake was a 80% kicker prior to that night. I'm considering the possibility that both guys will relax and perform better without the rotational whatever going on. Good luck to both.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:43 PM ^
Screw that. I wish he’d been a more accurate kicker but I love weird dudes in the team. It’s fun.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:37 PM ^
At least he has good video of yelling at his teammates to "just do your job," followed by a couple of missed FGs.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:44 PM ^
Maybe he was "set up" to fail just like Milton.
