LSU vs.Clemson in the championship game.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:26 PM ^
I don't see Ohio State getting past both Clemson and LSU. They should have played a good non con team and they could be #1. Their bad.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:47 PM ^
They lost the #1 seed because of their first half, imo, not the non-conference schedule, and really it's not that Texas is that much better than Cincinnati, but Texas was on the road.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:50 PM ^
Cincy is not the same as Texas dude.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:27 PM ^
Good point; Cincy is ranked (for now) and went to their conference championship. Texas is neither ranked nor within miles of the Big 12 title game.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:33 PM ^
Miami of Ohio won their conference championship game yesterday and Michigan didn't even win their division! Yet somehow I feel like Michigan may be favored if they were to play...
December 8th, 2019 at 1:46 PM ^
Wasn't aware Miami was ranked ahead of Michigan. Strange.
December 8th, 2019 at 5:01 PM ^
I'm not sure Michigan would beat either Cincy or Memphis.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:38 PM ^
Who did LSU beat in the non conference? Texas? Texas sucks. I know it’s OSU and all, but this sets a bad precedent against the Big Ten. LSU played one less conference game than OSU and one less FBS game.
It wasn’t lsu’s fault that Texas sucked this year, but it doesn’t matter whose fault it is, facts are still facts.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:50 PM ^
LSU beat Alabama at Alabama.
Ohio St had 4 games where they started slow, including the Nationally televised game yesterday. If Ohio St started slow against any of the other 3 teams in the top 4 they would likely lose. They would probably even lose to Alabama.
December 8th, 2019 at 5:47 PM ^
Someone who gets it. This is just more #SEC bias and negative bias against the Big 10.
Georgia was never the #4 team in the country. They were a propped up SEC fraud. Nevertheless, LSU gets credit for that win like they beat a 'Bama. But LSU best Texas! Who cares? Texas is 7-5.
The SEC continues to play only eight conference games and taking a virtual bye week in week eleven. Its bullshit and they get away with it because no matter how much they deny it, Disney runs the show. Look at ESPN's contract with the SEC.
ESPN/Disney has too much control over the playoff and their contract with the SEC virtually guaranteed that LSU was not going to have to go anywhere near Clemson until the final game. Its all a tv show. Whatever Disney wants to happen will happen.
If Ohio State gets by Clemson, they will probably beat LSU. I can make a very good argument that the least scary team is LSU.
Oklahoma with three weeks to game plan can be scary. They are better on defense than in the past and in a shootout game, very dangerous. They can stretch you defensively and if they can scheme well enough to at least slow down your run, you can be in for a long day.
Ohio State was tired and flat and Wisconsin threw the entire playbook at them last night. They took it, then just completely shut Wisconsin down. They aren't going to be flat in the Fiesta Bowl. They are loaded and Day will have them ready to play. They aren't going to be saddled with JT Barrett this time either.
Clemson is basically fresh after playing 13 scrimmages. Did they even play a team that was better than 7-5? I am sure Dabo will have them adequately hydrated and dosed with PED's but they are beatable. They are very much like Ohio State except on the defensive line. Both teams will be well coached and honestly, I think if Ohio State gets by Clemson, LSU is in trouble.
LSU has had a storybook year. I just think that they are the team that is most likely to get out coached in a big game.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:29 PM ^
Clemson is no better that Alabama this year. The only difference is Clemson didn't have one game against a decent team.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
The closet trolls haz a sad.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
Since you cannot provide an intelligent response to a valid point about Clemson’s schedule, you are clearly reflecting about yourself.
December 8th, 2019 at 4:16 PM ^
They also still have their starting QB.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:27 PM ^
Should be a high scoring game. Don't see how OSU slows down Lawrence and all those weapons they have.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Same could be said for Clemson's defense going against OSU's arsenal.
This could turn into a 48-45 kind of game and whoever gets the ball last.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Or...OSU can get prison-sexed like they did last time.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:36 PM ^
Definitely looking for a shootout. I wonder if Clemson can stop dobbins from getting 150-200 yards after having their entire D line drafted last year
December 8th, 2019 at 1:42 PM ^
I’m sure they have some highly ranked (and compensated) DL floating along their lazy river, having fun in their bowling alley or working out at their mini putt course.
?♂️
December 8th, 2019 at 6:43 PM ^
Just shut the fuck up homer!!!!! Such a old tired arguement
December 8th, 2019 at 12:28 PM ^
LETS GO CLEMSON!!!
Would absolutely love LSU vs Clemson for the title.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
Yes CLemson Dominate them please.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:52 PM ^
Michigan have become the kids that have to pay another kids to defend them on the playground because they can't do it themselves.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
Yeah, pretty sad. Hope and pray OSU doesn't win the NC and I think it all rests on Fields' knee strain. It has 3 weeks to get better. He clearly hasn't been the same the last couple of games.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:54 PM ^
He hasn't played Florida Atlantic, Miami of Ohio, Maryland, and Rutgers the last couple of games.
December 8th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
You’re right. Much easier opponent in Ann Arbor.
December 8th, 2019 at 8:05 PM ^
Fields hasn't been the same, who are you kidding? In their last 3 games, Ohio State beat Penn State, destroyed us, and dominated Wisconsin (again) in the 2nd half of the B1G Championship. He carved our defense up, did the same against Wisconsin, and coming off of 3 weeks rest, he'll be ready to play on the 28th. This isn't 2016, and Fields isn't Barrett. Stop worrying about what they're doing, and worry about our team vs Alabama.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
Go get 'em, Tigers!
December 8th, 2019 at 1:09 PM ^
Hank Greenberg approves this message.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
Probably the best we could've hoped for. Now OSU will have to go through Clemson and LSU to get to a title.
Really hoping for an LSU-Clemson matchup.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:40 PM ^
Unless OSU wins the whole thing saying beat Clemson and LSU.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:45 PM ^
If OSU wins it all this year, then as much as I'll hate to admit it, they'll have earned it.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:52 PM ^
You mean Chase Young and others will have earned their money.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
What does that have to do with playing well on the field?
December 8th, 2019 at 2:26 PM ^
Enough with everyone cheats. It’s year five under Harbaugh and the excuses need to stop.
December 8th, 2019 at 3:25 PM ^
But it'll atleast be apples to apples
December 8th, 2019 at 1:37 PM ^
yep, if they win it they will have beaten PSU, UM, Wisconsin, Clemson and LSU in a row. Impressive
December 8th, 2019 at 9:34 PM ^
There are no innocents here. So, I will stick with being a B1G fan and hope that OSU kicks the snot out of that pansy-ass Clemson schedule. If OSO wins it all cannot be reasonably argued that they have not earned it.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
whatever
December 8th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
I’m Dabo Swinney and I approve this message.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
I will be rooting for any and all Tigers in this playoff. My team can't beat OSU, so that's what I am reduced to... :-(
December 8th, 2019 at 1:46 PM ^
Your team "can't beat" OSU???
Your team can't even avoid getting skulled by OSU LOL
December 8th, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
I know it’s hard to put your hard-earned Ohio State degree to good use, but please, try harder.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Best believe Clemson is watching the film Gattis and Harbaugh had on that classic Gregg Mattison defense. Mattison will try the single high safety 12yds deep till THiggons and company take the top off and then he's 2 high, and corners 10yds off, the same way our offense should have been going overthem, Clemson will.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:00 PM ^
English please
December 8th, 2019 at 12:36 PM ^
Looking ahead....Championship game is in New Orleans. Imagine playing LSU in that dome (if LSU beats Oklahoma)
December 8th, 2019 at 12:37 PM ^
I’m hoping for an OSU blowout. Screw Dabo.
