Whatever it takes to beat osu
November 30th, 2019 at 1:17 PM ^
This is a really stupid take.
M has largely taken away everything except for their RB running all over us.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^
Doesn’t matter what you take away you idiot! They score by run or throwing. Dr. Blitz is overrated period!!! Cannot stop an offense with a pulse
November 30th, 2019 at 1:23 PM ^
you idiot!
Fuck you.
Against any other team in the land, we'd be celebrating making the other team one dimensional. But because it's ohio, "fire Brown".
November 30th, 2019 at 1:33 PM ^
Against our biggest rival, the most important game, Brown has failed utterly going on 3 years now. I do not get how people can defend him today.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:43 PM ^
actually 2 of the years the Defense was the only thing making it a game. We had 0 offense the O'Korn and Speight years.
If you're going to insult the man, at least get your story straight you fucking idiot.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:50 PM ^
I include 2017, last year and this year. Agreed, QBs didn't help, but in 2017 OSU scored 31 points in the final 2.5 quarters. For the last 9 quarters, OSU has driven on UM with the resistance of a gentle breeze. Maybe that's because OSU is simply unstoppable, but he is paid a lot of money for this very reason. Also, "complete failure" against OSU is for 8.5 straight quarters is surely accurate, no?
I know the emotions are high, but personal insults - especially of this type, are below you.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
What about 2016? Why leave that out?
November 30th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
Because he had a fantastic gameplan in 2016. The pattern is 3 years, not 4. Take that as you will. We can choose to be blind of this pattern, or not. We can decide that being that good against everyone BUT OSU is enough for our DC. I cannot think this way. The OSU game matters the most to me, and so that game is weighted very, very heavily.
But then again, there is another half to play. Maybe he changes the pattern. I am cautiously hopeful...but without much recent evidence to justify it.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
Learn the sport before you comment.
November 30th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
2017 game hardly on Brown.
Shit the bed last year.
Dumb blitz calls today.
The only chance Michigan has against this offense is to bend but not break. Don Brown is the complete antithesis of that. In 6 quarters against Penn State and Ohio State, eight touchdown drives, zero field-goal attempts.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:39 PM ^
Let me emphasize! Fuck you dickhead!!
November 30th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
You have emphasized your lack of football knowledge based on your post. It would serve the fanbase much better if you just kept your baseless comments to yourself.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:55 PM ^
This is the dumbest comment. 1) OSU is not one-dimensional. They’re running and throwing down Michigan’s throws. 2) Even if they were, who cares if that one-dimension is *killing* you? “Well they ran for 500 yards and blew us out, but at least we stopped the pass.” Dafuq?
November 30th, 2019 at 1:40 PM ^
Has he taken them away or have they not needed them as Dobbins has gashed the D?
November 30th, 2019 at 1:58 PM ^
M has largely taken away everything except for their RB running all over us.
Fields threw for 200 yards in the first half. GTFO w/ “taken away everything except.” If allowing 200 passing yards in one half is “tak[ing] away” their passing game, I would hate to see what would need to happen for you to think OSU is passing well.
November 30th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
Lol, how stupid. "db is taking everything away except for running it down our throats, deep passes, crossing routes"
lolol
November 30th, 2019 at 2:39 PM ^
M has largely taken away everything except for their RB running all over us.
272 passing yards and 3 TD for Fields. Idiot.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
The only solution to beat Ohio State is to napalm Columbus.
let us make a pact with the Michigan Militia.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:52 PM ^
Enforcing ncaa rules might do the trick too, although Cash Young hasn't been much of a factor so far.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:18 PM ^
Oh fuck off with this bullshit. The offense was garbage for half the season and we just witnessed a resurrection of that garbage with the fumble. This team is nowhere close to elite
November 30th, 2019 at 2:25 PM ^
Yep, definitely the offenses fault
November 30th, 2019 at 1:20 PM ^

With all the whiners, the mods should just delete the site.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:28 PM ^
The last 9 quarters OSU has completely worked Don Brown over.
31 points in 3 quarters in 17
48 points in 18
28 in a half today.
Yeah, I’ve seen enough. On average, we’re spotting them 47.5 points before the game starts. Time to move on.
November 30th, 2019 at 2:01 PM ^
Exactly ! I am lmfao at people defending Brown !
November 30th, 2019 at 5:44 PM ^
It's a good thing JH let Mattison walk I suppose.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:29 PM ^
Players have to PLAY! It's always been the offense that has been the issue. The D is being put in good positions but players need to play and not get beat deep for sure. Is there NO accountability to the players? it's ALWAYS the coaches fault?
This game is going fine. We are only down a couple scores and lately we have been a second half team not to mention we are playing the #1 team in the country.
Your statement is just DUMB.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:50 PM ^
If Michigan goes 0-5 under Harbaugh, it will be time to give up on any narrative that has Harbaugh being the Savior, or even worth keeping around.
This is fucking ridiculous. Everyone blames everyone but Harbaugh. Fuck that. This is squarely on Harbaugh, no matter what happens.
November 30th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Says Stinky McStinkerton ..... The name checks out.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:31 PM ^
I suppose it was Don Brown's fault that Metellus lost contain on Victor? Jesus this board sometimes
November 30th, 2019 at 1:33 PM ^
Who’s job is it to get Metellus ready? To put him in a position to succeed?
November 30th, 2019 at 1:34 PM ^
You can lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink. Is that analogy enough for you? You can do all the prep you want, but Metellus has to make the play.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
HAM - Players make mistakes ... it happens. Did you play football? Ever make a mistake / made a bad play even though you knew better? Replay it in your mind and go ... oops? Sheeeeesh
Players make mistakes ... it happens ... we just need to have as clean as a game as we can in this one.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:42 PM ^
2 star Metellus plays like it against OSU. Can always count on him getting burned when it counts.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:31 PM ^
The team doesn’t have a culture of winning. So they choke. Run into each other on defense. Jump offsides on a fucking punt. Drop the snap, again. Miss extra points. Call runs when passes are working. Just pathetic. Michigan has always been choke artists under Harbaugh.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:31 PM ^
It's always something....
November 30th, 2019 at 1:32 PM ^
Oh fuck off
November 30th, 2019 at 1:36 PM ^
i hope youre just drunk and not actually this stupid... look where DB's defenses rank year over year.
This year is more depth/talent level issues... good enough to shut down 90% of D1 teams, but problems with elite offenses.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
Elite my ass! Elite against teams like Indiana or Purdue. Imagine Don Brown trying to defend Clemson or LSU??? They’d get smoked in one half.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:50 PM ^
I don't think we need to move on from Don Brown, but this oft-repeated rankings argument is one of the dumbest reasons to support his staying.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:39 PM ^
We found it! The worst take of the year! Congrats!
November 30th, 2019 at 1:40 PM ^
in before hot take consisting of Gattis made DPJ drop the ball and should have prepared him better to catch the ball
November 30th, 2019 at 1:41 PM ^
Enjoy the negbang
November 30th, 2019 at 1:41 PM ^
Oh, did he jump offsides on that punt?
November 30th, 2019 at 1:44 PM ^
Go Blue! Scheme is fine, personnel isnt there. DTs arent holding their gaps. We arent strong enough up front.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
Or weigh enough. OSU’s offensive line, I believe, all weigh over 300 lbs, or at least close to it.
November 30th, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
No consistent DTs means playing DE at DT quite a bit which exacerbates the situation. It will be better as Hinton & Mazi get skilled up enough to consistently play but for now Don Brown has made a change that many D coordinators wouldn't make & it has worked really well the majority of the year.
It would be great to be able to stick Aubrey Soloman in there but he didn't want to be here so I hope he enjoys his time in Knoxville
November 30th, 2019 at 1:49 PM ^
Scheme is not fine. 2nd and 18 and you go man coverage. Michigan keeps getting burned in man coverage. When you are in man you are susceptible to rubs and "screens". I thought Brown learned his lesson this year with incorporating more zone. This looks reminiscent to last year. Most of the breaks went against Michigan, they are due in second half to have a few go their way.
November 30th, 2019 at 1:45 PM ^
Bring back durkin
