Roster updated
The roster on the official site still says "Spring Roster" but it was pointed out on the 24/7 board that it has indeed been updated with new heights and weights. I haven't had a chance to look through it for detailed analysis but here it is for your perusal.
Myles Sims and Brandon Peters are still on this roster. Haven't they transferred?
It looks like weights have been updated, but fall enrollees and transfers have not been added/removed.
Maybe they transferred back a la Bru McCoy?
Yes.
Not sure how updated it is, the one linked still has Peters, Simms and Martin on the roster. From that roster though Gil is now #8 and Turner and Milton are both #3.
Sharp as a cue ball, this one.
It feels like the roster is being updated gradually.
As the OP said, a lot of the weights have been updated, and some of the numbers have changed, but there are still players listed who have transferred.
Holy Pahokee Batman! Joe Milton is 6'5", 245??? Is he playing tight end this year?? /s
In other news, Charles Thomas is already 233lbs. Once he gets up to speed mentally he's going to be fun to watch. Quinten Johnson looks a little small right now at 5'10", 198lbs but he's only a freshman. His height is what concerns me the most. Charbonnet comes in as advertised at 6'1" 220lbs. I'm surprised at Mike Danna's height, being only 6'2". I doubt that becomes a major issue though.
There have been some updates to some height/weights, but that is really it.
Umbig, how accurate would you say the numbers are?
I'd say about as accurate as Braveheart

How good is weight loss? Weight gain?

Need the 300 pounders on the offensive line to open up holes for the running backs. Hope they kill OSU this Fall.

Looking at Mayfield's weight it is within 2 lbs of his last update late spring/early summer. He was 317 lbs and is now 319 lbs.
Runyon up to 321 lbs.
Bench Mason up to 270 - let's get this wrecking ball some goal line carries this year!

That just makes me think of cows on the ISS.

Keep feeding that man.
Who else wants to see a 280-300 pound Bench Mason next year?

Remember fellas, he's a defensive tackle now. Unless they plan on using him like The Fridge, which is possible, he won't be getting many goal line carries this year.
Looks like weight, number changes, and new pictures have been added (Joe Milton now rocking some nice dreads).
Transfers still yet to be updated as Danna isn't on the roster, and Peters, Sims and Martin still are.
and Ron Johnson still on...
I’m irrationally terrified anytime a new fall roster drops. Bad surprises are bad.
Those OL are huge. Feels like a Wisconsin Line
It sucks that people don't see that and think it looks like a Michigan line. I remember watching Michigan growing up and the announcers would ALWAYS mention how our OL was bigger than whoever we were playing, including Wisconsin.
This team is HUGE!
Setting up the excuse is speed in space doesn’t work well
freshmenclass2019.exe has not yet been installed.
Some of these numbers are significant.
Metellus 218
Bredeson 325
Mayfield 319
Paye 277
Indeed. I would add Erick All. If he is really up to 229 already, it makes it much more likely that he is going to stick at TE.
And Julius Welschof - 6'6, 278, identical measurables to Aidan Hutchinson.

Have you ever seen the two of them together?
There you go!
Doppelgängers
Mason: 270
Will be interesting to see how/if he is deployed on the DL at points this season.
In his PMTake interview yesterday, Harbaugh mentioned he's 272 and is indeed playing D-Line.
The way is sounded, he'll be mainly DTackle with a little fullback sprinkled in.

Yeah, and more specifically: 3-Technique.
I don't really know the difference, but some of you will and if you care, that's what Harbaugh said.
Super simple not-100% accurate all the time descriptor:
Nose Tackle - More often double-teamed, lined up between a center and guard, or over a center. Main job often to keep the linebackers clean. Canonical examples: Mike Martin, Vince Wilfork
3 Technique - "DT, not NT", more often single blocked by a guard. Lined up over a guard's shoulder (3 on the line in the fancy Seth diagrams). More athletic, more penetration, more disruptive. Mo Hurst's NFL position, he often played nose here. Think Warren Sapp.
Is this your alter ego typing? You are being positive
Significant doesn't equate to good.
Remember, all weight changes are bad. Gained weight is just extra blubber, lost weight is decreased muscle.
Ha ha.
That's more like it.
Ryan Hayes is now listed as 299 lbs.
At 6'7", he could be our future left tackle.
Ben Mason's new photo is ELECTRIC
He's also up to 270 lbs ?? That's large.
Our very large adult son
Sweet salmon, look at those offensive linemen.
MICHIGAN
6'5" - 321 Runyan
6'5" - 325 Bredeson
6'4" - 319 Ruiz
6'3" - 350 Onwenu
6'7" - 334 Steuber
6'5" - 330 AVG
... and just for fun ...
MTSU
6'3" - 275 Gilchrist
6'4" - 294 Owens
6'3" - 271 Fannin
6'3" - 285 Greer

6'3" - 287 AVG
I've heard a lot on podcasts about how Onwenu has dropped weight. I'm wondering what weight he started at.
Close to 400. Maybe even over.
