Couldn't agree more. Also want to call out how he appears to be a stellar senior captain, taking Dickinson under his wing and having amazing energy on the bench when he was on the shelf over the past several games. This team is special, regardless where they finish in May, and we should appreciate the ride greatly

Take this with a grain of…

Take this with a grain of salt as this is very much in the realm of "armchair physician," but I believe based on watching Davis that he has a partially or fully torn labrum in his shoulder. Only reason I know this is because I have torn mine, and the exact movements that cause Davis to wince (exerting force upwards / physical contact when the arm is up) caused me pain as well. Surgery for a torn labrum is typically easy enough (in the scheme of things), but the recovery is a bitch. Requires immobilization for several months. My guess is that the tear is partial and Michigan feels good about his chances to heal quickly enough to be ready for next season.

With all of that having been said, I could be completely wrong here!

It's hilarious to me that you're missing the point entirely while simultaneously accusing someone of being dumb. No shit those photos are still on the internet.

It's not on the head coach…

It's not on the head coach to have proper medical personnel and practices on the sidelines. The staffers will act as they have been dictated to act by the program. Yes, Hoke was incompetent on top of it all, but it was indicative of the program at large

So you're saying that the user with a profile picture of a humorous backup fullback that was taken 4+ years ago is a Bama fan? Good call!

Michigan nearly killed Shane…

Michigan nearly killed Shane Morris, initially protected Brendan Gibbons, and showed really unsavory recruiting practices with Erik Swenson. I take pride that Michigan's recruiting, by all reports, operates above-board. But this exact false sense of moral superiority is why people hate our fan base.

I would ask that you do the same instead of chalking Michigan's struggles up to cheating as broad brush stroke

Seth, I read all your…

Seth, I read all your content and really appreciate how much depth you provide us readers. That having been said, the incessant whining about how Bama / the SEC cheats is extremely tiresome. We all know they cheat, we get it. All elite college football programs do, and the vast majority of the non-elite do as well. The idea that Michigan is some beacon of moral authority within the college football world is misguided (we've had our share of scandals, etc), and the constant declarations of cheating positions Michigan as the elitist stereotype we all hear about and detest.

Bama has one of the richest collections of talent in the country. Let's go see how we fare, and leave the finger-pointing out of it.

You beat this by isolating…

You beat this by isolating your talented receivers on less talented (albeit scrappy) defensive backs. In a weird way I'm almost hoping Shea was hurt, because I'm running out of plausible explanations for that gameplan otherwise

The last thing we need right…

The last thing we need right now is another DT getting dinged-up on full-fledged hurt due cut blocking.

I am also skeptical of Dwumfour playing in this game, despite assurances from coaches this week that he is "good to go." On O'Hara's TD run in the first quarter last week, Dwumfour was one of the two guys who got to O'Hara before O'Hara was able to escape. Part of the reason he was able to escape was due to Dwumfour coming out of the scrum really clutching hard at a hand / arm (1:33 - 1:36 of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OVPzFtjKHo).

It's hard to see on the right edge of the frame, but Dwumfour looked to be hurt and if memory serves me correctly (haven't made it thru a full re-watch yet) did not return to the game. I am nervous about his health for this season and how much he is actually able to play.

Holding out my judgement if/when background checks out etc. One unsolicited bit of advice from one anonymous message board poster to another - player comps can be helpful, but they lose something when every comp is to an NFL All Pro. Appreciate the effort you put into the post tho
