I don't know if it's a sport, but this guy is definitely an athlete.

Well that kind of rowing isn't "competitive" but Michigan Men's Rowing is the best club rowing team in the country by a wide margin. Better than some Ivies in a given year with significantly less recruiting pull.

Thanks for sharing. I had read this, in the alumni newsletter (I think) but it didn't go into any detail as to his Michigan connection. It sounds like he rowed on the club team but that's a guess and not stated. If you guys know more please share. Also from the article:

I read this in the Alumni magazine and was amazed. Can you imagine the loneliness of this journey?! Not only that, but the will to continue after all those downturns. Certainly impressive.
