Bang me
December 19th, 2018 at 3:39 PM ^
Dutifully banged
December 19th, 2018 at 3:43 PM ^
Depends... is Long Will a real player?
December 19th, 2018 at 3:45 PM ^
Long Willy was my nickname in college...
Actually it was Dic(k) Swinging
December 19th, 2018 at 3:47 PM ^
Teabag was mine. Not sure why though. Oh well.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:51 PM ^
Mine was douchebag
December 19th, 2018 at 8:56 PM ^
Was??? ;)
December 19th, 2018 at 3:37 PM ^
!!!!!!!
December 19th, 2018 at 3:38 PM ^
Not gonna read it but assume they both are foregoing the NFL. Dynasty starts next season.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:42 PM ^
It definitely does not say that. It says they have both been practicing and plan to play in the bowl game but does not speak to their NFL decisions.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:06 PM ^
*Deleted*
I see the joke now.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:38 PM ^
Wait, what happened to the thread below this one. And amazing news. Two of the best corners we've had since Leon Hall.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:41 PM ^
The Dax story thread got deleted. Not sure why.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:42 PM ^
Did someone copy/paste paywalled material or something? Sometimes that gets a thread the axe.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:46 PM ^
My guess is redundancy - Dax as a subject has had several threads today and I believe the answers lie in there to the OPs question.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:48 PM ^
But that’s dumb. That thread was a specific question regarding his decision, not a general excitement thread.
And that’s one of the things I hate about this board set up. Threads get buried as they move down the page and it’s impossible to tell who is responding to who in threads.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:57 PM ^
Dax wut i was talkin' 'bout!
December 19th, 2018 at 5:18 PM ^
How do you have 2k points since yesterday?
December 19th, 2018 at 5:40 PM ^
He's probably one of the crazies with fifty accounts all upvoting this account. Fucking losers.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:07 PM ^
Indented replies are a horrible design for message boards. Why Brian and the others think otherwise is a mystery to me. Quote replies is the only way to go.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:10 PM ^
Noooo!
December 19th, 2018 at 5:21 PM ^
Quoted replies only work if you don't post the whole quote but either just the user name or user name and first line. Otherwise its so much text between actual responses that nobody reads that crap anymore.
December 19th, 2018 at 6:32 PM ^
December 19th, 2018 at 5:33 PM ^
I've seen a good setup where it will show the username and first line of the original message, but can be expanded for context by hitting an arrow in the lower right corner of the message
December 19th, 2018 at 5:30 PM ^
Two of the best cornerback's we've had since Jordan Lewis. You don't have to go all the way back to Hall for comparable players.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:38 PM ^
If they were actually deciding to play v. sit I would imagine they both are leaning towards going pro. They could have received some info that one or both would be day 2+ but I thought the NFL advisory board info came in January.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:46 PM ^
Neither has made a decision of any sort at this juncture.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:44 PM ^
The picture of the two of them looks pretty cool!
Glad they are playing and looking forward to them leading us to a win!
December 19th, 2018 at 3:39 PM ^
This is good to hear. I expect that Florida is going to come to play in this game and Michigan is going to have to play at a high level to win it. Having both of these guys would be a really good sign.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:12 PM ^
Jeebus, it would be so great if Harbs let out all the stops on offense. Maybe knowing the D will be a little more vulnerable--as may be the case next year--gives us a happy preview of offensive fireworks to come.
December 19th, 2018 at 5:30 PM ^
Agreed with ijohnb: Having both play is a huge deal.
Florida will be motivated. They dropped some games; they are talented; they have a new coach in the process of imposing a new culture.
M will need to play hard to win. This is a positive sign.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:40 PM ^
I hope they play, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Harbaugh says a few days before the game they are both “working through something” and they don’t end up playing.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:40 PM ^
Deferring draft decision until after Peach Bowl.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:41 PM ^
Returning 1 of the 2 next season would be amazing.
Couls you imagine if both came back, and you add Daxton Hill?
No fly zone.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:52 PM ^
Can we have a no fly zone without Demar Dorsey? He of the Cedar Rapid Titans?
December 19th, 2018 at 4:09 PM ^
I’ll settle for “No Ball Throwing Zone.”
December 19th, 2018 at 5:19 PM ^
O let’s do it!! Ahh!
December 19th, 2018 at 3:42 PM ^
This will help.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:42 PM ^
I still think Long leaves for the NFL based on the year he just had. Hard to imagine him having a better year, especially if there is a down fall in the pass rush. I am not sure how many corners would go ahead of him though and what next year looks like, but Long has been everything we hoped for.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
It's nearly impossible for Long to do better by any of the PFF metrics.
I've seen some put the idea forward he needs more film of people actually throwing at him, but who's going to look at what he's done for two years and go at that guy?
(would obviously be very cool if he returns)
December 19th, 2018 at 3:43 PM ^
That's good news. I wouldn't be surprised if either still decided to go to the draft; I hope we can hang on to at least one of them for next year.
"Program in disarray" narrative takes a hit.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:49 PM ^
Is Metellus a guy who may throw his hat in the NFL ring or at least test the waters?
I’ve seen it in a couple posts the last week but haven’t seen it from any of the big sources. Would be nice to have at least a couple returning veterans in the secondary next year.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:55 PM ^
If he throws his hat in the ring, I wonder if he'll get called for targeting.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:00 PM ^
That play single-handedly altered the Notre Dame game.
I’m convinced had he not gotten called for targeting, we would have pulled out the win.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:08 PM ^
And it was just such an instinctive bang-bang play to try to jar the ball loose. I am not questioning the call, it was the right call, but it was one of the least malicious proper targeting calls that I can remember.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:10 PM ^
I agree. I remember being upset but realizing that I couldn’t be too mad because it was the right call.
He broke on the ball perfectly and just hit the guy a little high.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:56 PM ^
He said something along the lines of "going to look into the process." I am not sure he is really on any projected draft boards right now. Paris Campbell did not do him any favors in Columbus.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:01 PM ^
Well I guess there is the source of the posts. My bad, I didn’t see his comments.
I would think he has to come back, and anybody we return in the secondary is a bonus at that point. The important s of returning leadership and experience can’t be overstated.
December 19th, 2018 at 4:19 PM ^
"Program in disarray"...was my fault. Mea culpa.
I suppose that someday I'll stop letting the decisions of 17-22 year old football players influence my happiness...
But not today! Today is a good day!
December 19th, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
Owning up to a hasty conclusion and an ill-considered narrative is laudable. I accept your mea culpa and offer an upvote as a reward.
