Anthony Solomon Flips To Michigan
FL LB Anthony Solomon has bailed on his Miami commit in favor of Ann Arbor:
Michigan has flipped 2019 four-star linebacker Anthony Solomon from Miami (FL), 247Sports confirmed on Sunday evening. Solomon tweeted out the news via his Twitter account within the last ten minutes.
Solomon, who was once a top target of the coaching staff before committing to the Canes over the summer, gives Michigan another fast-twitch linebacker for Don Brown's defense as the staff continues to emphasize speed on both sides of the ball on the recruiting trail.
You may remember that Solomon took a five-day unofficial visit over the summer, at which point he was expected to be in the class. I mean, obviously. It didn't work out, and then it did, because crootin. Solomon's in the top 200 in the composite, but 24/7 has him around 400th. They list him at 6'0", 190, so he's got a ways to go if that's accurate. Michigan won't have to throw him into the fire for a few years, though, so that's a minor concern.
As a side note, Miami has collected an incredible class of… decommits. Solomon is their 16th decommit of this cycle. With Solomon's departure they have just 14 kids in their class. One of them: Te'Cory Couch, who was a Michigan commit for about 32 seconds this summer. Crootin!

Or a dollar bill

Actually, I'm thankful that we don't run across many pictures of our recruits holding cash.

Agreed...that was part of my sarcasm, somewhat subtle I admit.

We now have two A.Solomon's on the team. Do they get their full name on the back of their jersey like Tim and Todd Schulte did in the 1980's?

Mike Hammerstein did too I believe.

Another future star LB. Welcome to the family and Go Blue!

Hopefully he works out like that other undersized 4* FL LB we stole from a major FL school recently...

247 says he's 6'0" 190lbs and runs a 4.80 forty. I'm not sure why Rivals and ESPN have him as a four star. 247's ranking (#402 in the country) seems to be much more in line with his physical ability.

Likely because they aren’t ranking based solely on ht/wt/40 yd ET.

Welcome Mr. Solomon!
I'm surprised he still came here after we humiliated him by having him stand for pictures in front of all of our most ugly jerseys.

Great news! I hope bama doesn't decide they want him.

I was lukewarm about his previous clips...this year's-not so much...the kid has become a player. I do not believe the 4.8 forty time is accurate/current.

I don’t know when that picture was taken but he looks plenty big to contribute next fall especially since he has another 8 months to get big. Doesn’t look at all like weight is a problem for him.

I can’t believe we still trot those out and display those jerseys in the locker room. “Hey, we have one the most iconic uniforms in sports, but here’s an example of the stupid shit we did a while back.”
