Crisler Arena Seating Question
Just a question on Upper Bowl seating. Thinking of grabbing a few tickets to the Purdue game and take my son to the game and was wondering if the Upper Bowl seating is comparable to the Upper Bowl seating at a NBA arena or more comparable to the middle section at a NBA arena? Thanks

Middle section... NBA arena's are nearly twice as large as Chrisler. The smaller NBA joints seat ~18K, while Chrisler hold ~13K and change on a good night. Get the tickets and go, there's not really a bad seat in the house.

Behind the basket isn't ideal but other than that, I agree. Pretty much all good seats.
Really nice arena and there are kid friendly activities around prior to the game. Get junior a nice new hat and it'll be a great day

Completely agree with this. The biggest changes over the last ten years have been steady improvements in the concourse and the gameday experience. There's always some memorabilia on display as well as interactive screens circling the concourse that are linked to each varsity sport at Michigan.
There are two M-Dens you can access from inside and also obviously concessions.
Have fun and Go Blue!

Would definitely agree to try more for corner than directly behind the basket. But that being said, I've sat in the latter at Crisler a few times, and they're fine. I think the only "bad" seats are the last row or two of the upper bowl.

I do not go to many NBA games so I cannot give a good comparison but I would try for row 30 and under in the upper deck. I think they start at around row 22 depending upon section. The high 30's and above are the back rows.

Took my 4 kids to Crisler last year against Jacksonville. We sat mid court in the very last row of the upper bowl and the seats were fine. We had a great time. Like a previous poster mentioned there is not a bad seat in the house.

Have been going to Crisler since Henry Wilmore was electrifying crowds there and have sat in most areas. There are no bad seats, the obvious- lower and nearer center are the best, but in a full house, they are all worth going for. The only caveat is that if you are say 6'6" or so, you should see if yo can get an aisle seat. I have a buddy who finds the leg room challenging,
Agree that the improvements to the concourse were fantastic and that kids will enjoy things like the virtual shooting free throws screen (which is free), while adults will enjoy all of the memorabilia.

How old is your son Carlos? If you get there early I've been known to help youngsters get a photo op or get to hi-five the players as they exit the court pregame. Minimally I can hook you up with some free stuff...sec. 104 usher (and my dad used to call me Carlos)

He is 11. He isn't hardcore into sports really, but seems to enjoy basketball and I am trying to get him to a UM game. He has been to a dozen or so Cavs games.

I’m taking my 9yo to the Binghamton game on the 30th. Do you know if I can get him into the lower bowl or down closer for a better peek at things pre or post game? Our seats are up in 232.

I don't enjoy being on one end or the other in the upper bowl. It's a personal preference. Some don't mind. I'd rather be midcourt in the top row if it's available. That isn't a bad seat at all.
Getting in and out of the game kind of suck. Bring extra money for parking and dress really warm, as you'll have to walk about a mile to the game and then back to your car.

Athletic department just announced some seats released today.
