Michigan wins AT LEAST a share of their first ever division title
November 17th, 2018 at 10:24 PM ^
F that.
We want it all.

Greed

Good!
November 18th, 2018 at 10:26 AM ^
This guy gets it.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:28 PM ^
If we lose to Ohio there is no "sharing" the division. They would win it via tiebreaker.
BEAT OHIO!
November 17th, 2018 at 10:29 PM ^
For example osu and psu were co-champions in 2016 and osu received a trophy despite losing the tiebreaker.
Again, FUCK THAT.
But still some history to mention with this win today. Let’s make it outright in 7 days.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:30 PM ^
Well, they're wrong as far as I'm concerned. Have they heard of a tie-breaker?
November 17th, 2018 at 11:10 PM ^
What do you mean? Back before the divisons you still won a share of the big ten with the same record but losing to the other team that won it. We won a share in 2000 but lost to Purdue and Northwestern. Rather win it out right obviously, but at least winning a share of the division is a start.
November 18th, 2018 at 1:03 AM ^
You can’t say you won your half of the division if you don’t go to Indianapolis. I guess you can say it, but that’s about it because it will be meaningless.
November 18th, 2018 at 5:35 AM ^
Yes it will be meaningless as much so as UCF's mythical Nat'l Championship.
November 18th, 2018 at 1:47 AM ^
Not that our sights are not set higher, but till know.... 3rd place in our division. I will take it!!!!
November 17th, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
This is a non topic. No one is going to say we are shared division champs. The only people that would care about this are stat dorks.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:35 PM ^
This is America. We want winners and losers, not ties
November 18th, 2018 at 1:46 AM ^
Ties are for commies
November 18th, 2018 at 5:18 AM ^
So glad we went to the overtime rule vs the old "do we tie vs going for 2" thing.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:38 PM ^
Kind of sad and amazing that we have yet to win our division.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:44 PM ^
I live 80mins from Indy. I thought I'd be going there all the time, didn't think it would be for bball and not football.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
They won the division in 2016, but the refs bent them over the table in The Game.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:42 PM ^
Beat Ohio
November 17th, 2018 at 10:43 PM ^
Michigan better be in indy.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:47 PM ^
Guess they never heard of tiebreakers, and even if they’re right, fuck that. Means nothing unless you win the damn thing to yourself.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:48 PM ^
That's not even a thing
November 17th, 2018 at 10:49 PM ^
Anyone who gets excited for a share of a title is a pussyfart
November 17th, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
How many of our big ten titles are shared....
November 17th, 2018 at 10:55 PM ^
This is weak sauce, but still a nice upgrade from the ‘Michigan cannot finish higher than 3rd in their own division’ garbage. Time to finish the revenge tour against the pathetic mainstream sports media.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:55 PM ^
Win THE GAME!
Seriously...it is THE GAME.
November 17th, 2018 at 11:00 PM ^
Lame. Winner next week is the division champ.
LFG
November 17th, 2018 at 11:20 PM ^
UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Win it outright, or else!!!
November 17th, 2018 at 11:26 PM ^
For people saying this is not a thing, shut the hell up. This is awesome. We won at least a share of the Big Ten East, the toughest division in football. I will certainly enjoy that tonight. No more annoying ass state and OSU fans all saying Harbaugh finishes in third in his division. He at least has 1 first place finish in the division now. That being said it will be great to win the division outright next week!
November 17th, 2018 at 11:27 PM ^
Who cares about a share of a division championship?
November 17th, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Apparently you do enough to comment, dickhead.
November 17th, 2018 at 11:55 PM ^
Why the name-calling? Are you 12 years old?
November 18th, 2018 at 12:00 AM ^
Seriously, what does a share mean in this particular instance? The only division title that matters is the one that gets you to the championship game.
Also note that I didn't call you a name. Keep it classy.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:04 AM ^
You keep it classy looking down from your ivory tower.
That's all you've done the last 9 years on here every time I make a post and then feign shock when I clap back. Don't act like that remark was unwarranted. You've been a dickhead to me on here since I was a kid.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
(Shrug)
Again, I didn't call you a name. This is on you.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:19 AM ^
Bando has certainly done his share of picking on you. It may be true that he has been unpleasant to you since you were "a kid."
You're not a kid anymore. His particular post in this thread did not warrant your response.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
TBH, I didn't even see who made the original post on this one. With the new MGoBlog, the av isn't in the OP, and unless you read for it, it doesn't instantly register. My point stands: A share of a division title doesn't mean anything if you're not playing in the championship game. As of right now, Michigan is not in the championship game. Celebrating a share today is pointless. This isn't the same as the old days of a share of a conference championship.
November 18th, 2018 at 6:31 AM ^
Eh, you *do* pick on him. A lot.
But in this case, he was the dickbag. So hurray!
(Seriously, WD. You done fucked up here. ?)
November 18th, 2018 at 6:56 AM ^
Agreed, Division champion who doesn't play for the championship is pretty meaningless. BIG ten champions that were shared in the past, were still BIG ten championships. The Rose Bowl has always had a large number of different rules in which Champion team got chosen to go, so shared champion had meaning.
November 18th, 2018 at 8:45 AM ^
I hate the phrase "clap back" so much. I skimmed over the rest of this little tiff.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
Wrong. Michigan won the B1G East in 2016. The refs at The Game just refused to acknowledge.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:35 AM ^
Ain't no such thing as a share of a division title. Beat Ohio.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:45 AM ^
This guy gets it.
November 18th, 2018 at 6:20 AM ^
The team that plays in Indy will be the division champ. Seems black and white to me.
November 18th, 2018 at 1:18 AM ^
Hate sharing
November 18th, 2018 at 8:09 AM ^
Agreed. Sharing is for communists and beagles.
November 18th, 2018 at 8:27 AM ^
I failed that part of Kindergarten. Fuck sharing!
November 18th, 2018 at 1:20 AM ^
Very little? It actually means nothing if they lose next week.
November 18th, 2018 at 5:00 AM ^
It’s nice not finishing third in the division. Being 8-0 in the BIG is impressive.
I want the BIG TEN championship...and we are going to win it as a team...
November 18th, 2018 at 6:45 AM ^
Get that weak loser mentality off this board.
If if you want to tie, do it on thanksgiving playing board games with your family
