Michigan opens up as a -36.5 point favorite at Rutgers
Also, Ohio St has opened up as a -5.5 favorite at Michigan St
November 4th, 2018 at 4:40 PM ^
Only 36 huh...
November 4th, 2018 at 5:14 PM ^
I think that’s for the 1st quarter.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:28 PM ^
Gotta throw the spread out the window for a rivalry game
November 4th, 2018 at 6:00 PM ^
Honesty, that might be too high. Only because we're going to have such an easy time that I can see a lot of backups getting playing time while Rutgers keeps their starters in. That will make it much more even, although we'll still have the advantage of course. Just a thought.
November 4th, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
November 4th, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Keep in mind that we can't bring the whole roster on the road. We'll play backups but not walk-ons.
November 4th, 2018 at 8:46 PM ^
You think their starters are gonna stop our backups?
November 5th, 2018 at 9:06 AM ^
To be totally fair, last time we played at Rutgers we didn't surpass that until 2:10 remained in the second quarter.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
Wow has Rutgers improved that much?
November 4th, 2018 at 5:32 PM ^
They did put 17 on Wisconsin last week! BTN guys we just glowing about their improvements. I almost spit my coffee out laughing.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:42 PM ^
Marcus Ray likes Rutger this week?
November 4th, 2018 at 6:10 PM ^
If you say his name five times, he appears in your bathroom mirror and berates you.
November 4th, 2018 at 9:03 PM ^
*eats you.

I think that guy got arrested a few weeks ago? Maybe they should bring him back for this game tho...
November 4th, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Honorary captain. So Rutger.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:57 PM ^
Alabama has played 9 games and has only been a favorite of more than 36.5 points once (Louisiana-Lafayette).
And they lost that game ATS.
36 1/2 is a very large number as it is. Besides, (1) this is an ultimate "just win, hope nothing bad happens and move on" game for Michigan, while (2) Rutgers deserves some credit: they're over-matched but from everything I've read they haven't quit on the season yet either. That says, at least, something.
I think the more interesting bet is "over/under" on 3 hours in terms of real time from start to finish. Should be a lot of running the ball in this one.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
I think these are the reasons the spread is not 78.

November 5th, 2018 at 6:30 AM ^
....but only slightly less well known is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
November 4th, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
What is the weather forecast @ Rutger for Saturday?
November 4th, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
Mostly sunny, 48 degrees, slight chance of pain.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:59 PM ^
100% chance of pain.
November 4th, 2018 at 8:00 PM ^
110% committed to pain
November 4th, 2018 at 4:43 PM ^
rivalry game in prime time, should be a close one
November 4th, 2018 at 5:05 PM ^
November 4th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
Unfortunately that’s the most prime time Rutger can get.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:43 PM ^
OSU doesn’t make it out of East Lansing without a loss. Book it.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:08 PM ^
Agreed, MSU may be the second best team in the B10.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:33 PM ^
With Purdue being the best team in the conference.
Says Marcus Ray and nobody else.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:49 PM ^
Ya right. Mork will have a gameplan that will have MSU lose a close game because he knows if they win, it’d benefit Michigan.
November 4th, 2018 at 6:42 PM ^
As much fun as it'd be to clinch the division by beating Rutgers and Indiana, I think an Ohio win would be better. We want the playoff committee to think Ohio is really good.
November 4th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
I agree with this and I want OSU to have something to lose as well. In other words, I want them playing for the east division and possible playoff birth. If they are just playing spoilers for Michigans playoff berth, they will be playing with nothing to lose and Michigan will be playing with everything to lose. OSU at home should be favored vs Michigan as of now. I would say a field goal.
November 4th, 2018 at 9:19 PM ^
Don't we want two quality wins instead of one? If MSU beats OSU, both will be ranked.
Also, fuck the committee and fuck Ohio State.
November 5th, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^
What I want is for Michigan to go into Columbus with the Big Ten on the line (can't have everything, so I'll settle for division) and come out with a win. Preferably a win that leaves absolutely no question that Michigan went on the road and dominated a Buckeye team that had a lot to lose.
I don't care what happens afterward. If Michigan is 12-1 and not in the playoff, that's on the NCAA, not on the Wolverines.
As for the state college of New Jersey, spreads are just informational. I'd be happy with a ten-point win as long as no one gets hurt. Happier if Peters gets some real playing time (not because of injury) and looks good.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:44 PM ^
Rutgers has been more competitive the past two weeks losing a close one to NU and only by two scores at Wisconsin.
Of course, their offense is still dreck and they can’t stop the run. UM is a nightmare matchup for them.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:08 PM ^
November 4th, 2018 at 5:16 PM ^
Giving up 414 yards per game. Run defense is horrid. NU’s inability to run the ball has something to do with how close the game was.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
I'll take The rutger...
...if you give me double the points.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:06 PM ^
Someone made The Rutger happen. I love it
November 4th, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
Smooth Jimmy took it on the chin yesterday, but you don't even have to ask who his "Lock of the Week" is this week.
November 4th, 2018 at 5:02 PM ^
When you're right 52 percent of the time, you're wrong 48 percent of the time...
November 4th, 2018 at 7:41 PM ^
Ain't that the truth!
November 4th, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
Speaking of Rutgers, have we begun vetting the refs for The Game?
Have to make sure we don't have 2 Ohio State fans and 1 Michigan State fan refereeing the most important game in our history
November 4th, 2018 at 4:48 PM ^
LOOK AT THIS DISREPEKT FOR SPARTY! SOMEONE TELL MARK!
November 4th, 2018 at 5:07 PM ^
Who's Mark?
November 4th, 2018 at 7:17 PM ^
he means Morkus
November 4th, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
I'm thinking we'll throw maybe 5 passes all game. The goal for the next two games should be to get controlled wins and come out with no injuries.
November 4th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
Goal next two weeks is everyone improve, stay healthy and get backups lots of playing time. If Peters is backup for Shea, needs to play the second half at Rutgers and 4th quarter with IU.
