Im not sure why they mentioned repeated violations. All the videos i have uploaded were told that they contian media admisnistered by T3mediasports. It also mentions that my account is not being penalized and that the video is available and playable. I sent an email to the copyright guys at youtube hoping to hear back soon. ill keep everyone updated. My other account jcbakkar is still up but im not sure if i should start uploading there might end up removing that account as well.

You're starting to become my archnemesis on this blog, beer lady. I DON'T LIKE YOU VERY MUCH!
February 18th, 2014 at 5:15 PM ^
Beer lady? Them's fightin' words, Yeezus.
February 18th, 2014 at 5:18 PM ^
If you're picking fights with the nice lady on the blog who openly enjoys beer, then you're going about this whole MGoBlog thing all wrong. Pick fights with Magnus. Plenty of people on here love to pick random, nonsensical fights with Magnus (and for some reason, his mom too) for no good reason, so he must be a good target.

Don't ask me why but I figured it just had to be about Malik McDowell for some reason and curiousity got the best of me.

Book it.

Poor guy gets blamed for everything. No its some copyright jackholes to blame. Man i miss the old youtube
February 18th, 2014 at 5:36 PM ^
It's a bad joke.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:48 PM ^
For once, it wasn't me who fucked the show up.
February 18th, 2014 at 4:58 PM ^
Is this much of a surprise?
I mean, do we expect ESPN to allow someone to just freely distribute their video hours after a game has been completed?
Am I the only one who felt uneasy about that? Sure, it's not like ESPN is hurting for money - but I shell out payment for their services, so why shouldn't others?
February 18th, 2014 at 5:06 PM ^
Agreed. But about 6 months ago videos for wolverine historian, devotee, and myself were unblocked again and my account was allowed to reupload games. So i made a new account thinking problem solved. Obviously thats not the case. Can someone please explain why these accounts:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZFQmVwX6aYb3v186df50Sw
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7M2aF4xVid3LqGhz0BIK6A
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUfEyMizcF2JEWTlduF7D6A
and so many more are allowed to upload games that are copyright restricted, but mgovideo got his account removed? I dont want them to take down other schools games to make things even i just want to know why they were allowed to keep their accounts
February 18th, 2014 at 5:10 PM ^
I'm pretty sure MGoVideo is getting the shit sued out of him by Notre Dame and some other people.
February 18th, 2014 at 5:16 PM ^
I mean, I appreciate what these guys do as much as the next guy. Yet I don't get the hand-wringing when they get dinged, as if they had either no idea what they were doing was playing with fire, or that it's somehow unfair that openly infringing copyrights can get you in trouble...
If you choose to repeatedly upload content that belongs to someone else, and then post your links on a message board every day, you're choosing to put your neck out there. That's just how it goes, whether or not you agree with it.
February 18th, 2014 at 5:18 PM ^
We agree on something!!!
February 18th, 2014 at 8:30 PM ^
I'm pretty sure ND filed a complaint that expired after 90 days or whatever when they failed to serve me, but thanks for your concern.
February 18th, 2014 at 5:11 PM ^
Because doesn't have to be a rhyme or reason for copyright infringement policing. When they find your account, they find your account. YouTube is a big place. Looks like your number was up.
February 18th, 2014 at 5:13 PM ^
Fuck it im done what a waste of time
February 18th, 2014 at 5:17 PM ^
If you're looking for a new hobby, you could upload all of the Disney movies to YouTube and see how long they last.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:00 PM ^
Can you reverse/mirror the video? Will that pass muster?
February 18th, 2014 at 6:55 PM ^
There was a thread late last summer which mentioned some of the major objections, and I believe MGoVideo (Thorin) even posted excerpts from the letter that he received. According to that exchange, he had been told that there would be no problem as long as the clips were under eight minutes in length or less by T3Media, but then that might have been before they went ahead and took it down anyway. Actually, Thorin and WolverineHistorian might be some good sources on how to at least partially resolve the matter if that's what you would like to do.

You must not know a lot about cable bundling scams. There are people who don't ever click on ESPN but are actually paying almost four dollars a month for the pleasure of having it on their basic package. It is the most expensive network for carriers by orders of magnitude.
People watching their stuff for free is merely evening the playing field. ESPN is still winning by more than it should.

I've been stocking that for good memories a lot recently. Watched sweet 16 Kansas game last night. I appreciate it man.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:27 PM ^
I seriously did the same exact thing last night.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:24 PM ^
Be glad to help - I certainly view my share of michigan highlights, etc. As a lawyer in the cable/Internet industry, I deal with copyright issues quite often.

You will never get anywhere with YouTube. Their system just is what it is.
February 18th, 2014 at 9:13 PM ^
I feel like Vimeo is the new platform for this stuff, not sure though.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:45 PM ^
I haven't gotten anything yet. WH's videos are still up.
Your problem could be that you're uploading full games, while WH and I are doing breakdowns.
Don't know. Hope things get sorted out for you.
I have a guy I can buy games from, that are good quality and are cheap. I'm actually waiting on the 1997 National Championship ceremony at Crisler video to come in the mail. So, I'm set regardless if the nazis come back.
February 18th, 2014 at 6:51 PM ^
Man this sucks, your youtube channel and mgovideo is the only place I can watch non-espn games, and i prefer your channel because I can use appletv and watch it on the couch instead of in the office chair. Why must it be so hard to watch michigan?!? I have no interest in paying 80 bucks for cable simply to watch michigan basketball and football.

Why did I see the title and think of Ishtar?
February 18th, 2014 at 7:33 PM ^
Looks like you got dinged for community guidelines, not copyright. That means a user or users reported one or more of your videos as inappropriate. That usually happens when someone uploads hate speech, bewbs etc. so it looks like you have a hater. This could be Wolverine Devotee's fault after all!
February 18th, 2014 at 7:42 PM ^
Why would I report someone who 1) is a Michigan fan and 2) is and has always been nothing but nice to me?
I've actually been working on a game he requested me to do awhile ago. (2002 vs Utah)
Whoever the guy is that negs every single post of his is probably the one who did it.

I've got that and a whole bunch of stuff ready. Want to upload all at once to get it over with once and for all.
February 18th, 2014 at 8:54 PM ^
broken as your sarcasm detector? Mind you, I'm just guessing, but you did ask for an explanation.
February 18th, 2014 at 8:02 PM ^
Just last night, I watched the Michigan/Syracuse Final Four game. It was good times.
February 18th, 2014 at 8:11 PM ^
that is fun, informative and exciting so that we can make rules to keep people from having access to it.
February 18th, 2014 at 8:42 PM ^
But FUCK copyright laws. Why can't we enjoy an "old" Michigan game? Fuck you YouTube.
