OUT! YES!
I hope that's not the same girl that got blown up at 3rd again.
The third baseman was the batter. The girl sliding into third was the pitcher.
Uhmmm... She looked safe, but I won't complain.
Oh, and it looks like she was safe.
How do you make the last out of the game at third? Cardinal sin.
Yeah she was definitely safe. Her foot may have came off the bag, but she was never tagged when it was off.
I thought she was safe but I'm not complaining. It's over.
If so, I'm not looking forward to this game.
He missed a clear strike three in that at-bat the wound up as the game-winning hit. Right down the middle. Maybe even two of them, but they didn't show a replay on the second, only the overhead shot live.
Well played, Nebraska. I haven't been this perturbed at a school since I watched the NC game in basketball.
Can't say I've ever heard of a game starting at 12:52 a.m.
And the game hasn't started yet. People cliciking this thread tomorrow to catch up might get a bit confused.
It's already tomorrow where I am.
Pity we couldn't capitalize. Although 30 pitches with five batters -- she can't be long for this game at that pace.
The underhand motion basically makes pitch counts irrelevant in softball. Ritter threw like 500 in 4 days when we won.
During the Nebraska game, for something so irrelevant. (Not doubting you. New to softball.)
I don't think we thought coming into the Series that our first one wouldn't be until Sunday!
This ump's zone seems inconsistent as all hell.
Gone! WOO!
Go Blue!
I don't know if the commentators have mentioned it, but this game is being played really late and it's already "tomorrow".
And a double!
Another walk! Bases loaded!
And a pitching change with one out in the third!
But I'll take a 2-0 lead!
I know nothing about softball, so I wanted to know why they scuff the balls? That seems counter-intuitive to me for them to scuff the balls before using them, but I've never played.
The dirt absorbs the moisture so the pitcher can get a grip. The same thing is done with baseballs, at least in the pros.
Thanks for the info!
Drat, they got out of the inning. But 2-0 U-M!
In the words of Hawk Harrelson (s)he Gone! Escobedo yanked.
D'oh, bases loaded. Let's get out of the inning.
