Any Chicago MGoBloggers in the West Loop?
This is my first forum entry so please go easy on the "this has been brought up already" responses. It appears (from other forum topics) that most of the Chicagoans will be watching the game at Duffy's, Moe's, or Rockit...I have seen other places mentioned, and a suggestion to start up a new spot, which interests me a great deal since I hate trekking up to Lincoln Park on a Saturday.
I am planning to go to Union Park (Jackson & Racine) to watch the game but wondered how many M fans in Chicago live in or near the West Loop and actually go (or want to go) to a more conveniently located venue for game watching festivities. If everyone pretty much sticks to the aforementioned three, no big deal, just trying to come up with alternatives to sitting on my couch and texting my friend in GR while my husband laughs at me.
Also, sorry if there are formatting issues. (Not that I'm planning to start a bunch of forum topics, but formatting suggestions would be appreciated.)

in Palatine. And there isn't anything wrong with sitting on the couch all day on Football saturdays.

The beer is a lot cheaper.

called the Dark Horse, I think its still there, and was UM affiliated. It has since changed to PSU. It was a good place to get cheap beer during football. And it was a nice cozy pub, not as many fall-down drunks.

To the OP - good luck. I'm a near-northsider, so I can't complain about convenience, but I'm always looking for other bar alternatives for UM... so while I won't be a founding member, if a UM bar develops out your way, count me in.

i was responding to the mention of beer prices, and further suggesting venues people may be interested in. For all the Dark Horse has reverted to a UM bar.
