Just a breaking news alert at the moment, no details.

Hopefully the Heisman also got a bit easier for Mr. Robinson.
August 10th, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
To be the best you need to beat the best, unless of course they beat themselves. That makes it much easier. But kidding aside if UM has a pretty good season I think Denard would be the herb badger out anyways.
August 10th, 2012 at 5:09 PM ^
honeybadger really doesn't give a shit.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:24 PM ^
hope it was something other than forced entry or DUI
(please, please, please let Fitz and Clark play this year...)
August 10th, 2012 at 1:25 PM ^
I would speculate that he was getting paid.
August 10th, 2012 at 3:57 PM ^
I read that the first time as "I speculate he probably wasn't getting paid." Which might be more problematic at LSU
August 10th, 2012 at 1:25 PM ^
He failed a drug test last year, more likely than not it's the same thing
August 10th, 2012 at 1:37 PM ^
And a bunch of the starters got in a bar fight. SEC doesn't kick players off the team for drugs.
August 10th, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
3 failed drug tests at LSU result in a 1 year dismissal. He is reportedly going to FCS for 1 year and then on to the NFL.
August 11th, 2012 at 12:14 AM ^
if mathieu did fail a third test, he would not be eligible to play at another ncaa school. he would have to be eligible to play at the school from which he's transferring. honey badger might only be immediately eligible to play at an naia school or junior college immediately.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:48 PM ^
He was kicked out of LSU, not kicked off the football team. Obviously the SEC doesn't discipline football players, but if he got University discipline (rather than AD) he's in trouble. He can't transfer and be eligible anywhere FBS OR FCS this year if he wasn't eligible at LSU.
August 10th, 2012 at 3:01 PM ^
Why transfer (NAIA?) at all? Can he enter the NFL draft in the spring? Just sit a year, don't get hurt and get drafted.
August 10th, 2012 at 5:19 PM ^
I don't know if Mathieu has scouts excited enough to risk a high pick on him if he sits out, especially if he has "character issues." Janoris Jenkins went 39th in this year's draft after transfering to North Alabama, and I doubt he would have gone that high last year if he had either gone pro or not played and waited for the 2012 draft.
August 11th, 2012 at 12:21 AM ^
true. he has junior standing, so he’s not eligible for nfl draft, but will be if he sits out a year. However, nfl teams wont chance a 1-2 draft choice on him at this point and his character if there are significant issues that dont pass the "sniff-sniff" test. (the charles rodgers principle)
August 10th, 2012 at 1:24 PM ^
wasn't good enough for you?
I kid, I kid. Tough loss from LSU, interested to learn more details.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:45 PM ^
Wow. We actually made it like 4 posts this time before some douchebag could post a criticism of the OP for starting a thread. I'd say that's an improvement over the norm.
August 10th, 2012 at 2:08 PM ^
It only took one post for a douchebag to respond to a post in which the poster clearly says he's kidding.
August 10th, 2012 at 3:19 PM ^
You can't just say you're kidding after anything and avoid sounding like a dick. Go up to your wife/girlfriend/mom and say, "Why are you such a bitch? Oh, I'm just kidding." and see what happens.
August 10th, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
...its with all do respect.
Then you get to say whatever you want.
August 10th, 2012 at 4:02 PM ^
Because clearly those two situatios are so much alike.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:25 PM ^
If he transfers, he'll have to go FCS. Which will be an absolute nightmare for the entire FCS haha
August 10th, 2012 at 1:27 PM ^
I think Les said he had two years left. I gotta figure he's going to xfer and sit a year. I'll bet Lane Kiffen is alrady calling Tyrann's cell #.......
August 10th, 2012 at 1:36 PM ^
Bruce Feldman just tweeted that if he failed his third drug test he won't be able to play in the NCAA at all, no FCS, so he may have to go NAIA or something to get on the field.

Yeah seriously my high school had 11,000

August 10th, 2012 at 1:28 PM ^
Wow cool down dood. No need to act like that.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:32 PM ^
I disagree. I had no interest in clicking on a thread talking about a press conference LSU is going to hold. It's spring, every team holds press conferences. Now this thread, on the other hand, got my attention because this is big news.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:25 PM ^
Check the "LSU to Hold Noon CST Press Conference" thread, 5 posts down.
August 10th, 2012 at 2:37 PM ^
a BONER. Why are you on this thread if you already knew it was being discussed?
I for one checked this one out because of the title. The title of the previous thread didn't interest me as much.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:25 PM ^
... suggests he was caught trying to get away with something.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:26 PM ^
Honey Badger don't care; Honey Badger goin' to the League.
Seriously, I hate this story. I hate to see good college football players get taken away due to stupidity, and off-field issues. And I hate to see good collegiate players go to the NFl early. I feel ripped off that I won'd see the Honey Badger on the field for the Bayou Bengals this fall. Stinks. Now he is an NFL story, and I instinctively don't care about NFL stories. Honey Badger, you're dead to me.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:48 PM ^
Looks like he got into some sardines, maybe it's just kippered herring though, I don't want to speculate. But he's gonna be pissed when he finds out that European beer is actually made by Coors.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:50 PM ^
I'm pretty sure that pic is of a Wisconsin Badger.
August 10th, 2012 at 2:04 PM ^
Actually the Wisconsin Badger is different in size (about 5'10" and approximately 145 lbs.) and has no natural enemies. They rarely reach adulthood.
August 10th, 2012 at 2:49 PM ^
I only took the can of sardines, the open beer, and the general malaise into account. I stand corrected.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:26 PM ^
He had it coming. Lot of talent, but the kid's an idiot, and one of the most self-absorbed human beings I've ever seen in a football uniform.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:29 PM ^
T.O. says he too hates self-absorbed human beings in football uniforms and has called a press conference to be held in his driveway to discuss it.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
Honey Badger should've cared. Honey Badger should've gave a shit.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:32 PM ^
I'd bet that he had some sort of illegal contact with an agent. Can't be drugs. You have to fail A LOT of drug tests to get busted for weed as a college football player.
August 10th, 2012 at 1:38 PM ^
August 10th, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
He'll probably transfer to Michigan State.
August 10th, 2012 at 7:01 PM ^
What an odd thing to say following THIS past offseason...

August 10th, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
Black Dude with Reddish Blonde Mohawk. Who would think of doing that unless he is hammered and thinking of doing some wild and crazy shit?
August 10th, 2012 at 1:49 PM ^
Not a fan of Michigan recruit Derrick Green?
