OT: Mayweather v. Cotto
Fightnight!
Mayweather and his world-class defense versus a legit 154 fighter in Cotto.
Mayweather the prohibitive favorite, but Cotto definitely has power to sting Money if he gets a hard shot in the early rounds!
Will find a pirated link to watch..
I would love to see Mayweather get clocked...I think he beats Cotto, however
COTTO, I hope he sends money to jail with a loss.

This.
Or watch CCTV on sopcast.
Would guess around midnight, depends on how long the undercards go.
I used to think Manny would take Floyd down, but i was extremely underwhelmed watching Manny against Marquez. Manny is definitely slowing down, and I don't think he has the handspeed to get through Floyd's defense. Floyd would outpoint Manny.
Just hoping for a good fight tonight; Mayweather's last fights have been snoozefests.
I think he wins tonight, and if the Pac man fight does happen, he'll beat him too.
I'm a mid-30's Asian guy, and I think Mayweather would beat Manny as well.
FWIW I think Mayweather is a racist fu*k, but he's a helluva boxer, maybe the best ever.
Dodging top fighers in their prime aside (valid critique for Mayweather), have not seen a better defensive fighter.
Yes, I was not alive during the 50s, 60s, and do not remember the fighters of the 70s. Same argument basketball, football, baseball all yap about when comparing eras. But Mayweather is an all-timer, and I stand by the fact he may be the best ever in the mid-weights (welter/middleweight).
As I said, this is really a stupid, circular argument;
Joe Louis in his prime can't fight Floyd Mayweather circa 2000. We can't see Manny fight De La Hoya in his prime, instead of the washed-up version we were treated to.
All we can do is look at a given time period, and compare it to other time periods. There has not been a fighter who's been able to outbox, both defend and counter, opponents like Mayweather since the late 90s until the present day.
So it really doesn't matter what Rocky Marciano did, what Sugar Ray did, hell the tear Tyson went on: direct comparisons cannot be made. I cheerfully admit I know nothing of boxing before Leonard/Hagler; doesn't change the fact that like it or not, Mayweather is the dominant fighter of the era (although Lewis has an argument in a depleted heavyweight division).
We agree to disagree.
All timer and best ever are very different. Joe Louis and Mayweather? Joe Louis in his prime would have destroyed Mayweather. Louis was a 66-3 heavyweight that beat the likes of Schmeling and Walcott. You don't need to see that fight to know how it would end. What about Muhammad Ali? I heard he was alright. I heard he beat some damn good boxers too. Unless, of course, Foreman and Frazier and Liston and Norton and Spinks don't compare to the talent of Mayweather's era. Sure, it's tough to compare across generations, but it's not so tough to make educated guesses.
I'll never understand that whole Floyd ducks people thing, every top prize fighter ducks people or makes outrageous demands for fights.
Hell for the all the "ducking" Floyd does when he came up to 147 a Prime Mosley chased the money to fight oscar and Floyd has done the same thing in chasing the money.
Everyone's loverboy Manny has the most outrageous demands of anyone, hell how far did Oscar have to go down or Cotto for that matter.
Cotto has a shot and Floyd as times can be caught, Zab Judah caught him at one point and Mosley caught him at one point. If Cotto can bust up floyd inside a little bit he might be able to slow him down and catch him in the later rounds. I dont think Floyd has the power to put Cotto away unless it is 5 or 6 clean shots.
Should be a fun fight and I would bet money on Floyd, but would not be surprised if it is closer than people think or if Cotto can catch him with a solid shot.
It's a very savvy move as the people who don't appreciate it, like yourself, want to watch his fights to see him lose, while people like me, who understand what he's doing is show business and find it funny and appreciate his abiliites will watch to see him win.
Boxing, MMA and pro wrestling all have the same model and the very worst thing that can happen is indifference to the product/fighter then people won't buy.
LINK!!! At least, this is the undercard and I assume will turn into the main event.

The UFC main event is just starting right now on Fox. Nate Diaz Vs. Jim Miller
I know a lot of people hate him, but he backs his cockiness. The guy is an awesome boxer.
I just finished watching UFC also. Nate Diaz is a beast.
Who's next for Alvarez?
Don't think he's crazy enough to try to go up to middleweight for Martinez...and honestly, I don't think either Manny or Mayweather want anything to do with Alvarez. There is a LOT of power behind those shots to Moseley.
I think Moseley is in real risk of getting KOd from this fight.
This must have been posted before Alvarez fought so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But...there is no way you could have watched his fight agaisnt Shane and the Mayweather fight right after and thought they belonged in the same ring.
Mosely was lucky to get through that upright.
Grand Rapids Represent...
Team MONEY Mayweather! Floyd about to teach Cotto a lesson in boxing.
I can't believe that at age 21, Canelo's already got 40 fights.
Who's the skinny white kid lugging two of Money's belts?
That would be Justin Bieber...
I believe that's Bieber. :|
50, Triple H and friggin' Beiber.
Anyone else just have firstrowsports crash?
Yeah
Edit: back now
