Adrian Witty sighted congratulating the punter.

I also dig the all black with Cincy.

The Thursday night games are the second best part of my day... The first being done with work...
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:34 PM ^
I think the same way about them. I say to myself, "Ugh, it's Thursday and I still have one more day of work tomorrow, but at least there is a football game tonight."

What was that rumor about Craig James again?
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
People need to stop posting this fictitious rumor that Craig James killed five hookers at SMU. There is no truth to the rumor that Craig James killed five hookers at SMU, and it's irresponsible to keep making posts claiming that Craig James killed five hookers at SMU.

I love Mgoblog

gets full credit for the "Craig James, Hooker-Murderer" meme. It's their creation. We're just borrowing it.
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
More accurately, we're helping EDSBS get their meme more page hits on Google. And didn't they just stumble across it on Wikipedia? Either way, it's one of the funnier memes.
On an unrelated note, anyone have any thoughts on the rivalry? Does anyone think jersey sales help at all?
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:56 PM ^
Orson wrote a post about Craig James being a dick for using his media platform to lie and get a coach fired, and one of the commenters did a "I can deny the shameful rumors that Craig James killed 5 hookers at SMU" rant, and then someone changed the Wikipedia page, and then signs were made, and it just spiraled.
It might be the best thing they've ever done. It's approximately 6500000x funnier than the "Fuck Clemson" thing.
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:58 PM ^
I only saw the second post they made on it, the one where he has the screen shot from Wikipedia. Either way, it's funny as hell.
September 22nd, 2011 at 9:40 PM ^
Honestly, I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

Five hookers killed craig James?
September 22nd, 2011 at 9:46 PM ^
That CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU. There is an alternate theory that CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT MSU.
I'm not sure where this terrible rumor started. I just thought he was a douche for hiring a PR firm to plant stories on the internet. I think the CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU meme is what Shakespeare would call hoist with his own petard.

You shouldn't be LOLing anyone, you're the one with the Star Wars avatar.
September 22nd, 2011 at 9:23 PM ^
1) Star Wars are some of the greatest movies of all time.
2) The creator of this blog is a Star Wars fan.
3) I fail to see what is funny about liking Star Wars

Now don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars too... But a guy with an Emperor Palpatine avatar making fun of someone for being geeky (and showing off about it) just doesn't work.

Hampton vs Bethune-Cookman, front and center!
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
...ESPNU not in HD, therefore I cannot watch it. I can't believe how unbelievably spoiled I have become. Otherwise I would be all over Hampton (Marell Evans' former school?) vs. Bethune.
Is this the same Bethune and Bethune-Cookman? If so, did I miss an official name change?
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:05 PM ^
I had to watch M/EMU in SD and it was awful. Pitt-Iowa was at the same time and M wasn't on ESPN3, so both games last week were non-HD. It sucked. Hard.
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
I'm watching the games on the Internet, so I'm happy as long as the tiny screen isn't carpeted with ads. For Michigan games I usually hit up the bars with HDTVs.
September 22nd, 2011 at 9:51 PM ^
So I'm taking 3 teen-aged (10, 14 and 16) boys to the game on Saturday. What should we do before the game?
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
You could blow $200 at the M-Den like I did before the Eastern game and show your enormous school spirit. Yes, I did get stuff for the kids because, damnit, they're going to Michigan somehow.

Yeah I was going to do the band thing - we haven't done that yet. They've all been to games before, I've just never taken all 3 of them at the same time. Only the ten year old is mine, the two older ones are my nephews.
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:01 PM ^
The Big East commercials are terrible... The ones featuring the mascots are especially bad and add yet another reason that Michigan should not have a mascot roaming the sidelines.
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:07 PM ^
I loved the sportsmanship commercial though. It seemed like ironically bad timing.
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
Cincy's kicker just nailed a 48-yarder. Even though I'm a fan (and an alumnus of UC), it kinda irks me to see "lesser" teams with incredible kickers and ours be sucky year in and year out. We wouldn't even dream of attempting a 48-yarder -- much less making one.
September 22nd, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
Did I miss something? Does NC State actually have a backfield out there?
