If I had to guess, Wagner…

If I had to guess, Wagner took that on his own. Seemed to me like it was likely an pick n roll with Hunter for Wagner to either slash and draw a foul or dump it to Hunter for a foul or bucket. They sagged off him because they knew he was ice cold and dared him to shoot. Unfortunately, he took the bait.

I don't think anyone would…

I don't think anyone would hate him for leaving, if he thinks he's ready go for it. But it's pretty apparent he isn't ready.

Were UCLA the better team?…

Were UCLA the better team? Yes, but they were awful too. We just put forth one of the worst offensive performances I've ever seen. Not only couldn't we make a shoot, we forced things virtually every single time down the court.

All things considered, I'll take a B1G title and an Elite Eight out of this group of players. Talent wise, I wouldn't rank this team in the top 4 of what we've had the last ten years. In basketball there's a general rule, if you have the best player on the court, you always have a chance. We saw that tonight. And unfortunately, there is no guy on this team who can consistently get a bucket. We've thrived all year off team play and having one or two guys a game get the buckets when needed. Tonight absolutely everyone was atrocious on offense.

Not sure who would advise Wagner to leave. Too many times guys with good physical abilities leave with an extremely unpolished game and get eaten alive at the next level. He won't be able to blow past guys in the NBA and without a more consistent jump shot, he'll be in serious trouble. Kind of reminds me of Iggy, and it hasn't worked out for him so far.

Heart defects are a lot more…

Heart defects are a lot more common than most people think. It's just that the defects don't always show up until later in life for many due to the fact their hearts aren't at constant work like an athletes heart is. I am no doctor but I would not be surprised if this kid had an already existing heart condition and the fact he had covid and the Myocarditis possibility makes it even scarier. There are soccer clubs who have weekly EKG testing in Europe now and that's something that in my mind should be ran for every athlete no matter the level.

Idk why but I think the fact…

Idk why but I think the fact that this thread is about Branden Jennings and the very first comment references a crossover is funny.

Yes I know the spelling is different.

Better players and a better…

Better players and a better DL coach. I’m not sure how Nua is still employed, he’s done a horrendous since the day he started. As for this season, they are what they are. We can’t send any extra players to help them because our secondary is equally as bad if not worse. The only thing that could save this defense is the ability to generate turnovers. But Don Brown has proven to be inept in that department since he got here. Which is extremely confusing in of itself because of his Uber aggressive style.

At this point I’d be fully…

At this point I’d be fully on board with Tom Allen. If he were five or ten ten years younger he’d be the hottest coaching candidate in the country.

There could be 100 people in…

There could be 100 people in the stands and they’d still claim 100k.

I thought it was pretty…

I thought it was pretty funny when McNamara threw four straight dimes and then the camera panned over to Milton and he looked like someone just shot his grandma. Summed up this team pretty well.

Fuck Jim Harbaugh

Fuck Jim Harbaugh

It really is 2014 all over…

It really is 2014 all over again and it sits squarely on Jim’s shoulders. I will not thank him for a thing when he walks. It’s a shame because it looked so good in 2016.

That is 1000% worth getting…

That is 1000% worth getting rid of Jim Harbaugh and his minions.

He could be good one day,…

He could be good one day, but he’s not ready yet. Personally, I want a coach who’s never even heard of the state of Michigan. If we hire another “Michigan man”, you may as well bury the program for another five years.

He did stick to the same…

He did stick to the same scheme he just put it in shotgun formation. Pretty much everything we do is the same thing we did in his first few years here. The only difference is the players aren't as good and we're somehow even less likely to make adjustments than we were back then. Which is saying something.

It gets us the opportunity…

It gets us the opportunity to not continue toiling in mediocrity.

If you’re going to…

If you’re going to predetermine who you throw to, at least throw it accurately.

We’ve been dead since late…

We’ve been dead since late November 2018.

I've heard we're still in…

I've heard we're still in the running to get that Holmgren kid. That'd be pretty amazing because I'm not sure I've ever seen a player quite like him.

We're currently…

We're currently deteriorating under Harbaugh. We'll be lucky to finish with 4 wins this year. And looking at the roster for next year, 6 or 7 wins could very well be possible unless Milton takes a herculean step forward. But I'm sure Harbs is the only coach in America not named Saban, Swinney, Meyer or Belichick that could do that.

I don't want to be rude but…

I don't want to be rude but these are the worst corners I've ever seen play for us. I'm sure Ambry would have helped but it would not have mattered if he played this year. Green and Gray have been so bad that no matter which one started alongside Ambry they'd just get picked on the whole game. Green I have some hope for as it looked like a lot of his problems were coachable. Gray simply got burned by subpar athletes all night and was routinely beaten even after holding on for dear life. This was Olave vs Watson all night.

Being 22 and growing up in…

Being 22 and growing up in metro Detroit has been pretty tough. The most “dominant” team I’ve ever gotten to see was probably the early to mid 2010’s Tigers. But of course they failed to ever win the ultimate prize. We also had some pretty great basketball teams but they were scattered over several years. I do vaguely remember the Pistons and Wings, but not much of those years. Honestly it’s reached a point where I don’t care about sports anymore.Winning makes me feel nothing. Even when we sucked under RR and Hoke a loss would ruin my day. I couldn’t even watch the NFL on Sunday. Today I kept the channel on fox, watched MSU celebrate, and tuned into the very next game. I knew my fandom would eventually get neutered, but I did not expect it to happen until I hit my thirties.

He’ll grow into being a…

He’ll grow into being a decent enough QB. However he’s not Cam Newton nor will he approach the levels we’ll need him to in order to compete. With more experience he’ll improve the mental part of his game and he’ll stop going 200 mph on every throw. However, his accuracy is still problematic in year three. I don’t see that part of his game evolving enough to make him anything more than an above average QB by the time he’s done here.

I’d still take him over broken Shea 7 days a week.

He owns Manuel he's not…

He owns Manuel he's not going to fire him. I'm terrified because I'm not sure anyone wants him. He may not have a choice but stay. Recipe for disaster.

I don't think those people…

I don't think those people truly exist anymore. Not only did we lose the game today. We got annihilated in every aspect of the game. He's done here. I would be stunned if he doesn't leave after this year.

How have they only scored…

How have they only scored twenty points so far? They literally are getting whatever they want every single time.

He didn't catch it but it…

He didn't catch it but it was a PI anyways.

MSU YAC has to be insane…

MSU YAC has to be insane they carry our defenders four yards every time

Time to get beat deep for a…

Time to get beat deep for a TD

I'm done. Call me when this…

I'm done. Call me when this coaching staff is gone.

Send six guys, still get…

Send six guys, still get beat deep.

So the logic behind keeping…

So the logic behind keeping Harbaugh is he beats everyone he's supposed to. So what is the argument now?

Milton is getting picked…

Milton is getting picked this drive

The fact state is actively…

The fact state is actively giving the game away and we aren't good enough to take it is hilarious.

Lombardi is 5/13 and we're losing.

Milton is better than Shea,…

Milton is better than Shea, but yet he still has a gaping inefficiency in his game that completely cripples the playbook.

When Harbaugh quits at the…

When Harbaugh quits at the end of the year that sequence is going to be our lasting image of him.

Just the annual reminder we…

Just the annual reminder we aren't going to do anything of significance with this coaching staff.

Honestly, I'm not sure we're…

Honestly, I'm not sure we're the better team. Just watching this is painful we're making no plays and this defense is absolutely caving.

Hard to truly enjoy anything…

Hard to truly enjoy anything when it's constant bad news in the world. But once Michigan kicks off this forum will be back to the jubilance and bitching we do every year.

Good coaches win games. …

Good coaches win games.
Great coaches win big games.

This is probably gonna turn…

This is probably gonna turn into a meme thread by ill give it a serious take. Firstly, I’m 22 but that’s probably close enough. I still view him as a good coach. He had great success at Stanford and the NFL( Although teenagers may not remember his Stanford days.) And he’s still been a good coach at Michigan. His win percentage does not lie.

However, he’s not a QB guru. Luck was a transcendent talent, Alex Smith was misused by a horrendous coaching staff before Jim, and Kaepernick was lightning in a bottle. Once teams had game tape he faded. As for his QB’s here, he definitely did help Rudock improve that I can’t deny. However Speight, Shea, Peters etc we’re all mediocre. Shea may be a tad bit better than the others on his best day. It’s also telling we never developed anyone to supplant those guys.

As for being a recruiter, he’s not bad at it. He is actually pretty good. But it’s worth noting his personality will certainly turn certain types of guys away. This was a valuable trait Hoke had in which everyone loves him. He’s easy to like and root for as where Jim is an acquired taste. I fear that once his losing to OSU and big games continues, our ability to attract 4/5 stars will decrease significantly.

Finally, his player development is not where it needs to be. The fact our best two teams were all Hoke players is extremely telling. We all dismissed him leaving jobs every few years as his personality rubbing people the wrong way, but could it perhaps be that he struggles to develop players? I’m not sure but it’s possible. The more we waste talent like Nico means the harder it will be to recruit.

Also of note, the Michigan brand means nothing to people in my generation. We have never seen Michigan win anything and we have little hope we will because that’s just how it’s always been for us. We have zero loyalty to Harbaugh but we do have loyalty as fans to Michigan. So if he continues to fall short of our goals, I have zero problem firing him. If that means our next coach blows then I guess it is what it is. I want to see titles and big wins. If he ain’t the dude, then he ain’t the dude. I will never understand how so many people here defend him while also shitting on Beilein. Beilein beat loaded MSU and OSU teams, won multiple conference titles, and took us to two NCAA title games. Harbaugh has done none of those things.

Mayfield is certainly the…

Mayfield is certainly the biggest loss. Nico would’ve been nice but we still have solid threats in the skill positions. Similar with Ambry. There is no replacing Mayfield with anyone even near his level.

It’s getting pretty tiring…

It’s getting pretty tiring always looking back and thinking, “What could have been” with virtually every offensive threat we’ve had.

I sincerely do not believe…

I sincerely do not believe the football season for both college and NFL will last even 6 weeks. The second star players start testing positive leagues will fold. I mean seriously, what happens if the NBA Finals start and Lebron and Giannis both test positive before game 1? What if half of a team tests positive and a playoff series becomes pointless to even play or watch? Combine that risk with the fact many players will test positive and pass on to older staff members who are not pro athletes, and I just don’t see any sports happening. Unless there are breakthrough methods of treatment in the coming months, I’m extremely doubtful of any sport being completed.

unfortunately for lavert he…

unfortunately for lavert he hasn’t gotten better since 2017. He seems like he’s lost a step and he’s extremely handsy. Two things that do not fair well in the NFL.

I’ve always been in the, …

I’ve always been in the, “Just give it a few months and we’ll be fine and then try and limit phase two as best we can” group, but that’s changed. This next year is going to fucking suck. With no break through treatment and a lot of people still having the inability to get a test, Im losing hope. I let my parents move back in with me due to financial concerns they had but it’s driving me crazy and once I’m back to work I can’t afford to be around them as they’re heavily immunocompromised. I’ve already barely left the house in a month.

I'm excited to see how…

I'm excited to see how things go under Gattis in year two. Even with some of the losses on the outside we still have a very good unit. We just need more consistency catching the damn ball. QB was obviously a big part in their struggles at times last year but the amount of drops/fumbles was asinine. That should not be a hard fix for D1 receivers it's just about concentration.

I was the GM of a movie…

I was the GM of a movie theatre during the 08' crisis and am now the GM of a commercial gym during all of this. One thing I've learned is that during bad times, the term furloughed essentially just means extending the permanent lay off process. I'm trying to convince higher ups not to but if the stay home extends to June I'm afraid they won't have a choice. Although who even knows how many of my employees will willingly come back after all of this anyways.

Love the options these kids…

Love the options these kids are getting. Personally they should just be able to go pro if given a high enough rating by nba scouts out of hs. I vaguely remember a period in the early 2000’s where guys who weren’t even top 50 recruits trying to go pro. Also I wouldn’t mind seeing a two year minimum requirement if kids go the college route. Only out would be if they’re given top grades by scouts.

He’ll be a pick next year…

He’ll be a pick next year. Guys overseas have literally averaged five PPG and been lottery picks. Sounds insane but potential reigns supreme in the association.
