I saw a NCAA TV ad recently talking about all the great things they are doing for student athletes. I expect it is all nice sounding programs that are unnecessary (or better provided directly from the university) that only serve to make the NCAA larger.

Also back then nobody talked about CTE, seemed pretty obvious at the time he was the murderer, I wonder how confident his lawyers were going into the trial. If this had occurred in 2019 instead of 1995 would the lawyer's have tried to shift blame to CTE and gone for a lighter sentence... Although perhaps there's no avenue to make that work in the defense's favor, there's no way the CTE is going away.
Regardless I'm curious to know much indication of brain damage he has.

I won't be surprised if the majority of successful NFL coaches wouldn't be able to much better at Stanford than Shaw. In the NFL he'll be dealing with a more level player talent distribution.
Even if Shaw doesn't get one of those NFL jobs it's probably beneficial for him to get some buzz associated with his name, can help him land a coordinator job or another college coaching gig.
The losing by itself is probably enough to make want to go in a new direction, the only thing that gives me a little bit of pause is the medical issues Howard has had this year, but the team has been trending down prior to this year.
The off court / court side drama just seals the deal. He's probably lucky so much of the fan base is willing to ignore basketball this season and enjoy reliving the football season.
Howard might be benefiting from people drawing a false parallel between Howard's coaching and Jim H during the COVID season. Jim has a long history to suggest that was an outlier.
I'll go with OSU, my recollection of that game is Michigan played near perfect in all three phases. Alabama obviously played us closer, but I think Michigan had a slopper game.
I think Washington, OSU and Alabama are all pretty close. I think Michigan got in Washington heads and we were bad match up for them. Seems like Alabama and OSU are probably the two best we played, but I think Washington would have a decent shot at beating either one of them.
PSU a distant 4th, and they were lucky to be in Happy Valley and have Harbaugh suspended so close to kickoff. Maryland not fair behind PSU.
Being a college football coach seems very stressful. I'm kinda surprised all these guys don't look older than their age. But Pete Carroll really makes that theory look pretty dumb.
