Yeah, Ace pretty much said everything I wanted to say.
I don't buy into the "Think how much worse it could get!" narrative. Of course it could get worse, but at some point if you want to be what you say you want to be, you have to take that risk. What's the worst that could happen? You turn into USC or Texas? We ARE USC and Texas!
There's no Nick Saban or Urban Meyer out there coming to save us. The only chance we have is to hit the lottery like Clemson did with Dabo, and so it becomes a numbers game. The more dice rolls you take the better chance you have of finding the guy that's gonna make you elite again.
Yeah, obviously not the same, but the old adage is "Give them three years to get their own players in the system". So far the returns with his own players are far worse than they were with Brady Hoke's players.
This might be a bit of a spicy take for a Monday, but... When do we start talking about Harbaugh and the Larry Coker effect in the same sentence? I mean:
10. Jim Harbaugh had a 20-4 record at Michigan heading into the 2016 Ohio State game. He's 28-16 since.
20-4 with Brady Hoke's players and 28-16 with his own. Never stayed longer than four years anywhere else, so he's never been evaluated purely on his own merits. I'm not saying, but I'm just saying...

I'm not sure what it says about me, but my first thought upon hearing "News that will shake up Wolverine Nation" was "NICO BACK??!?!". I must crave disappointment.
lol damnit Seth, I read the first sentence up to "late last night" like six times before confusingly moving on wondering if I had been redirected to the wrong article.
I think this is the attrition from a coaching change that would have normally taken place last year. These were all Beilein guys, and him leaving so late last year not only hurt UM in their coaching search, but made transfer opportunities for these guys harder.
I think it has less to do with his in-game chops and more to do with how he holds up as a recruiter. Urban was one of the best in the game - and so are Saban and Dabo. That's where you'll see the first signs of a decline (if there is one)
Those Jordan shoes go for some serious money. They're fairly common on StockX, here's one I found just now: That's a nice chunk of change. You get four or five pair of those in your career and don't make it to the league? You bet players are gonna sell those first chance they get. Lord knows I would.
You know when a puppy's feet grow way faster than the rest of him and he just has these big ol' paws flopping around on the floor and it's all adorable and stuff?

I need NIL to pass ASAP so I don't read "Bama, SEC, OSU..." with a green face and immediately think "So the bagman will get him"...
…
Idk, the "All-DE DLine" was a lot of fun last year, right up until it wasn't
