I played soccer from 5 years old all the way through college and for the most part there was little to no variation of how the game was taught. We tend to play long ball in the states, and while we have the best athletes, our skill is lacking as our the tactics we choose to play with
1-9 vs top 10, 0-4 vs OSU, 0-7 as underdog. We have the 10th most talented team according to 247 composite ratings, so these numbers, aside from OSU, are very unsettling. People on this board said wait til Harbaugh gets all his guys. Well now the roster is totally his and the team is still underperforming so people say it’s just growing pains from the new offensive install. I obviously hope that Harbaugh succeeds, but at what point will people stop making excuses for him?

Have you not watched Michigan play this year? This team can’t win on the road vs anyone with a pulse. I’d love to be completely wrong about this team, but I’ve seen enough to know that this season won’t end well.
I would think we should recruit Ohio a little more, but recruiting hasn’t really been the issue, per 247 composite we have the 10th most talented roster in the country. The issue has been attrition based. I will admit that the DT recruiting hasn’t been nearly as good as I expected, but nearly every other position group has been fine.
The RB rotation is absolutely fucking stupid. You got two backs playing well so naturally they haven’t touched the ball in the second half. Terrible fucking coaching

How anyone can truly believe this team will be in Indy boggles my mind. If we can’t even hang with the Badgers how can we expect to beat Ohio state? Harbaugh is great at home but atrocious on the road, the penn state game will be more telling than Iowa. Plus Iowa isn’t nearly as good as their rating. But I already know if Michigan wins this fan base will declare that we’re on track for a playoff spot.

The recruiting has been very mediocre in terms of how many have transferred out of the program or been busts. If harbaugh and staff could cut down on those then our chances would be better at maintaining consistency.

Urban Meyer is a fantastic football coach, and I am certain he will coach again, but it will not be at Michigan. If Harbaugh does walk away then I think Michigan needs to target someone from outside like Kyle Wittingham, Joe Brady (LSU passing game coordinator), or give Bob Stoops a call. We must modernize offensively if we ever hope to compete with the big boys. Look at OSU, Bama, Clemson, and Oklahoma. All of them run modern offenses and all of them dominate offensively. We can’t continue to run anymore man ball because almost no high schools run that anymore, and the kids nowadays prefer the hybrid type stuff we see at Clemson and Bama

I’m not advocating win at all costs, but with the resources Michigan has, and the talent on the roster, we should be winning the big ten at least once every 4-5 years. I was elated when Jim was first hired, now I’m indifferent about him. What happened to the QB whisperer? What happened to the fire? He seems completely lost.

That defense was charmin soft in the 3rd quarter last week but have otherwise been solid for 11 out of the last 12 quarters
