How on earth are you getting…

How on earth are you getting to the conclusion that MSU is a more talented team than Michigan with all of our additions? Holloman, Fears, Akins, Booker, and Cooper is going to be top 4 in the B10?

What the fuck are you…

What the fuck are you talking about? RichRod had a lot of success at the collegiate level and wasn’t a fit culturally with Michigan. Howard had no success as a head coach but was a fit culturally due to his basketball history with the fab five and being a player and assistant coach in the NBA. Even in your own example, hiring Howard wasn’t anything like hiring RichRod

From a common sense…

From a common sense perspective, if our coach was suspended 3 games for one level 2 violation, committing four level 3 violations should be about the same. I’m sure with your defense of these very serious violations you are also calling for Day to be suspended for 3 games. Personally I think they should start investigating Day at the beginning of the season and end the investigation Friday, November 15th. They can announce Day’s 3 game suspension on Friday night before the NW game and we can all start to heal from this grave injustice.

And yes, you making excuses why Michigan’s nothing-burger violations are so much worse than OSU’s nothing-burger violations is definitely you defending OSU.

Beilein got out of college…

Beilein got out of college basketball for the exact reason that most college blue bloods are having trouble these days. Beilein having prior success has nothing to do with the current culture of college basketball. Since he left, North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, and Uconn have all missed the tournament. I’m not saying Howard is the correct choice moving forward, but this isn’t the same league Beilein coached in, which is why he left at the most inopportune time for us to find a replacement. Whoever we bring in is going to have some of the same problems Howard has (although in game coaching has become a worry I didn’t think I’d have).

I’m not sure why anyone is talking about Harbaugh and football though as there really isn’t a comparison between the two sports. Their coaching challenges/sokutions are wildly different.

I must have missed the post…

I must have missed the post for when unranked Eli Lee committed to them.

If you go second and are…

If you go second and are down 7 and get yourself into a 3rd and long, it is very beneficial to know you have 2 downs to get the first. Going 2nd is always the much more beneficial way to go

I feel like all of college…

I feel like all of college basketball is trying to figure out how to operate with the new NIL rules. Since Juwan has been head coach here, North Carolina has gone to the ncaa championship game as an 8 seed and then missed the tourney the next year. Kentucky has also missed the tourney. MSU had one of (if not the worst) start to their season since Izzo has been coach. I know it has been a couple years and we aren’t going in the right direction, but Juwan won the B10 by 3 games, was a 1 seed in the tourney, and went to a couple sweet 16s in a row. I wouldn’t mind giving him another year and I wouldn’t mind if he and Michigan parts ways, but we are asking for trouble if we start cycling through coaches every 5 years

Banchero is the #1 pick the…

Banchero is the #1 pick the pistons hoped Cunningham would be. Unfortunately Banchero looks like he can be “the guy” on a playoff team and Cunningham does not. It also doesn’t help that Franz is miles better than any other top 10 pick we’ve had. I’m still holding out hope that Thompson can turn into something as he seems to be proficient on both ends of the court, but lord would it be nice to have Halliburton or Maxey instead of any of those 3 first rounders we took in 2020

Colorado was in those games…

Colorado was in those games despite coach Prime, not because of him. Until he actually learns how to in-game coach, he will continue to lose plenty of games by a touchdown or less. That won’t change no matter how talented his teams are or where he coaches. Against Stanford, his clock management cost them the game and I don’t see that changing if he coaches at A&M or Oklahoma.

I know the score doesn’t…

I know the score doesn’t show it, but we kicked the shit out of MSU in 2016. We were up 30-10 in the middle of the fourth and we just let them run out the clock. There was a 0% chance they could win that game. They scored with 1 second to go. It was obvious we stopped caring about the score and just wanted to get the game over with.

Way to stand on that…

Way to stand on that prediction. Lol. “I predict they win 8 games. Now I predict they win 7. Until I don’t predict that and they win fewer than that.”

I don’t know why you keep…

I don’t know why you keep mentioning that you’ve watched all their games. Everyone has watched all their games. ESPN can’t stop showing their games and highlights because they are media darlings. You didn’t even answer the question. Where are the 2 wins? Arizona and? What about them struggling against shitty teams makes you think they will win 2 more games, one of them having to come against a ranked opponent with 3 out of the 5 in the road? They have yet to beat a team with a winning record and now they are going to do it twice, once against s ranked team?

When the coach makes…

When the coach makes everything about himself, it isn’t as though portraying that in the media should be frowned upon. You act like Sanders didn’t come in flashy as shit, essentially kicking half the team to the curb. Even his comments after getting his ass kicked are extremely arrogant. Usually a coach that gets stomped 42-6 (and let’s face it, Oregon could have dropped 80 on them) and outgained by 300 yards would show a little humility. What did Sanders do? Puff his chest out about the future because “this is the worst we’ll be.” Well sir, that wasn’t true because you just blew a 29 point lead to one of the worst teams in the nation. And somehow that’s the media’s fault for highlighting the coach? This team talks a lot of shit, flashing expensive watches after beating 1-4 teams. They are entirely mediocre but act like they are world beaters. I wonder where they get it?

I would absolutely love for…

I would absolutely love for you to tell me where the additional 3 wins come from. Have you actually looked at their schedule?

He also has something like…

He also has something like 60 new kids on the team and a bunch of highly ranked recruits. Why anyone mentions 1 win last year is beyond me….this team is nothing like last years team

We would have had one of the…

We would have had one of the best transfers in the portal at a position of need if it weren’t for admissions. That’s a little more than barely getting a whiff

You know it is ok to just…

You know it is ok to just stop talking of you know nothing about what sexual harassment is or isn’t? Are you really asking if the head coach of a program should be able to masturbate on the phone with someone he hired?

These are most definitely…

These are most definitely not personal conversations. How do you think they know each other? They didn’t randomly meet at a fuckin bar. This is a horrific take. Just awful. That’s like saying a CEO should be able to have phone sex with an employee as long as they do it outside of work hours.

I knew he was a horse shit…

I knew he was a horse shit football coach. I didn’t know he was a horse shit human being. What a piece of shit. He even admitted to the masturbating, so at the very least he cheated on his wife even if it was consensual. Apparently there were rumors of what a dickbag this guy was back in Colorado. For a school trying to distance itself from a large rape case, hiring this asshole was a very poor choice

I’m not sure why anyone even…

I’m not sure why anyone even references them going 1-11 last year. When you bring in an entirely different team with an NFL QB, it really doesn’t matter what they went last year.

This. Woodson was the best…

This. Woodson was the best player on the best defense in the nation that let up less than 10 points per game on the way to an undefeated season and a national championship. The Heisman usually goes to a player on a national championship contender. Colorado isn’t going to be that and they definitely won’t take his defensive accomplishments into consideration if he is the best player on a team that lets up 42 points per game.

I hate uneducated basketball…

I hate uneducated basketball fans. “Showing very little on court last year” is ridiculous. Jett had the 3rd most 3 pointers made in the B10 as a freshman and Kobe was one of the most productive players in the league the second half of the year. Just a garbage take

I really wish the Love…

I really wish the Love transfer would have gone through. Then the only question would be if the talent we have could mesh well enough to make a run, not if we had the talent to make a run. I still think we can make the tourney and possibly make a run if we can get production out of the 2 and 3

I think the biggest problem…

I think the biggest problem playing all three isn’t their shooting, it is what their strengths are. All of them work best with the ball in their hands as a playmaker. You need a Rip Hamilton to go along with your Chauncey Billups. We desperately need guys who work well off-ball. Ivey and Cunningham (and I’m assuming Scoot, although I haven’t seen as much of him) are super talented, but all have similar games.

Has everyone adjusted though…

Has everyone adjusted though? NC made the championship game last year. This year, they missed the tourney, didn’t accept the NIT bid, and one of the main guys that led them to the championship last year is transferring after having a worse year. In the final 4 this year, one team famously bought their team and made the first final 4 in program history while another team has a starting 5 comprised of mostly all transfers. MSU just made it out of the first weekend of the tourney for the first time in 5 years. Izzo last won the B10 prior to Juwan’s B10 championship. Even this year, going into the last week of the season, I don’t think we had been mathematically eliminated from winning the B10. Juwan definitely has some things to figure out, but it is clear that most every coach in America is struggling to find consistency with the way college basketball is right now.

Other than the fact that we…

Other than the fact that we won this game and we didn’t against Virginia? I guess every game can be explained away by luck when it fits your narrative.

I wasn’t saying having a…

I wasn’t saying having a losing conference record. Texas Tech was 5-10 in conference and was on projections as a last 4 in. Now, even if they win out, people will have them in the conversation for the tourney with a 7-11 conference record. They also have a loss to the second worst B10 team in the Maui invitational. I know it’s probably moot now, but the poster above is right-the narrative on the B12 is going to get one of their teams in that shouldn’t get in. Now it will probably be West Virginia

I just can’t wrap my head…

I just can’t wrap my head around a team that has lost twice as many conference games than they’ve won being in the tournament. I know Texas Tech has some big wins, but they also lost 8 B12 games in a row

Here in Utah, it snowed for…

Here in Utah, it snowed for 2 straight days. We got about 2 feet and I was snow blowing/shoveling until 8 pm last night. Today it is supposed to warm up and then we are supposed to get more snow over the weekend. The powder up in the mountains is amazing from what I’ve heard. If you like skiing, now is your time to get out here. Crazy weather this entire winter

The broadcast on Saturday…

The broadcast on Saturday actually pointed out how many close losses we had to good teams. We have losses of 5 or fewer points to teams like Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Purdue, and Indiana. I honestly have no idea how CMU happened, but this team is one of the least experienced teams in the nation let alone the B10 and it shows with that stat alone

This is a ridiculous take…

This is a ridiculous take. The season isn’t lost, it just makes it tougher to get into the tournament now. On to the next

If our chances to make the…

If our chances to make the tournament solely relied upon our own game outcomes, then yes, beating OSU and Nebraska wouldn’t matter much. Beating those two teams and watching a bunch of other bubble teams lose would mean beating two shitty teams actually helps us quite a bit

He is most definitely not.

He is most definitely not.

Franz really didn’t do much…

Franz really didn’t do much in college and isn’t good in the NBA. Solid point!

Having a decent class next…

Having a decent class next year won’t matter unless he coaches for another 4 years. He is going to ruin all of them and play walk-ons over them in the tournament. Those freshmen might be good in 4 years at the earliest

Shaka Smart was the hot name…

Shaka Smart was the hot name when everyone was calling for Beilein to be fired.

I honestly don’t know if I…

I honestly don’t know if I saw Kentucky run 1 set play. Their bigs don’t even pass out if the post very well. Calapari is a clown

Being big favorites doesn’t…

Being big favorites doesn’t equal a better team. That 2020 team of ours was young and bad. I’m not sure that was odd or bizarre, just a bad team beating a worse team

I agree with all of this…

I agree with all of this. They might keep it close, but they aren’t going to beat us. When was the last time a shitty Spartan team beat a very good Michigan team? 20 years ago? In the recent history of MSU beating Michigan, those were all good Spartan teams or bad Michigan teams or both. When was the last time a .500 MSU team (which is what Sparty looks to be this year) beat a 9 or 10 win Michigan team?

Just because Isiah Thomas…

Just because Isiah Thomas punched Bill Laimbeer in the back of the head 30 years ago doesn’t mean teammates regularly punch each other. Getting in a shoving match/fight happens all the time. Jump-punching a teammate in the jaw without them looking at you definitely doesn’t happen regularly in professional sports.

I am fine with anyone who…

I am fine with anyone who takes joy in their misery. Fuck them. That was one of the worst ass kickings since we pummeled them 44-10 a couple years ago. They gave up today. At home. Everyone sucked for them today and it is fine to be happy about that

Hanging 49 in one half…

Hanging 49 in one half against MSU really inflates your offensive numbers so people forget that a team led by Scott Frost missed a field goal to cut the defective to 3 with 9 minutes left in the game.

Edit: I understand we were down by 3 late in the game against Nebraska. But our offense isn’t being touted as unstoppable the way OSU’s is

We heard that it was going…

We heard that it was going to be doom and gloom last year because of how bad the classes around 2018-2019 were. Then that didn’t happen and concern trolls actually shut the fuck up for a while. It looks like we are ramping up the concern trolling right on time again this year. I look forward to you and the other trolls shutting the fuck up again this year

Watching tape on this kid, I…

Watching tape on this kid, I really like his game. I’m of the mindset that Jett will take at least 2 years before he goes pro, so these two and Buffkin next year have me really excited items about our wing play

I didn’t realize Houstan…

I didn’t realize Houstan played that many minutes per game. That isn’t a good thing. He is going to have to really improve a lot to make an impact in the NBA. The NBA drafts on potential but it really isn’t a league in which they wait around for you to make improvements. For every Jordan Poole and Duncan Robinson there are 100 Noah Vonleh’s who just get forgotten.

Anthony Edwards made all-SEC…

Anthony Edwards made all-SEC and averaged 19 ppg along with 5 rebounds and nearly 3 assists and was the only guy other teams would key in on as they were 5-13 in the SEC. His stats were not “pretty bad.”

You really don’t. You can…

You really don’t. You can laugh at MSU regardless of our situation. I encourage it

The point. You missed it

The point. You missed it

The issue with our transfer…

The issue with our transfer credit problem isn’t that kids won’t be on track to graduate, it’s that they need enough credits to transfer over to stay eligible to play when they get here. You can’t be a sophomore at another school and then transfer to Michigan with only enough credits to be a freshman and still be eligible to play

I wouldn’t worry too much…

I wouldn’t worry too much about McDaniel’s size. He will need to put on a little weight, but he was offered by UConn, LSU, Florida, and Georgetown. I don’t think we have to worry about someone with those offers being able to lead an offense at this level
