W. Johnson Predicts Big July
“One visit isn’t going to ease the concerns the way a positive season will, but Johnson could see the growing momentum Michigan has on the trail and he even told Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider that he’s expecting big things next month, telling Webb: “I think July will be a big month for Michigan.”
Do we play the Buckeyes in July?
BPONE KITTEN
No but the path to finally beating them starts on the recruiting trail.
Why are you even here before November?
Here's to the month of July making Will Johnson happy. :-)
Is this the year we get a preseason heisman contender and a qb who will take us to the promised land?
Either you're a troll, or just the most miserable Michigan fan alive. Take a break from the boards or find another team.
If you read his posting history, I’m going to say troll, one that’s lurked here for 5 yrs. Pathetic.
Good Will Hunting!
They were doing this over Minnie Driver....... ok.....
90s Minnie Driver, and damn right.
I still don't see it.
To each his own, and it is just a movie my dude.
Big month of more 3 star recruits?
Not an impressive start for the latest group of Ass't coaches...
A) Our current makeup of commits is about 50% 4* or higher, which is right about on average for our recruiting under Harbaugh.
B) Blue chip recruits often wait until closer to NSD to make up their mind.
C) Covid screwed up the star ranking system because of less time in front of evaluators. It is less reliable now than ever before.
I’d rather have 3* recruits than a bunch of 2* trolls like yourself posting all the time...
November. Michigan football needs a big November-it's been a very long time.
It’s a long December, but there’s reason to believe
This year will be better than the last.
That's a really, really low bar to set, but I hope you're right.
If it isn't, everyone in the AD who can even spell f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l should be fired. Good thing is that the staee grad's will be safe.
Maybe
It's not looking good for M with Walter Nolen.
I always wondered what it felt like to be MSU especially in the Perles and Saban years where they were good but not great. I remember feeling sorry for them a little. (I thought Percy Snow was a badass and I knew a few guys who played for MSU over the years.) Michigan BPONE right now must be like what they experienced. I'm sick of rooting to get recruits like Charbonet, Derrick Green, Sam McGuffie, etc. only to have them flame out, not meet expectations or underwhelm.
That said I'm ready to buckle up and attach my emotions to the decisions of a bunch of 17-18 year-old kids. Damn it.
I haven't read a full recruiting profile on a kid in 2 or 3 years now. I'll skim over a few sentences, but just show me something on the field.
I'd rather October and November be big months for Michigan. You know....the way they haven't been for nearly twenty years. But at this point I suppose Michigan needs to be grateful for whatever it can get.
To be a bit more specific, I think it will be a big month in terms of commitments, but there will be movement in both directions. We will probably land several targets and we will probably also see several trend elsewhere. I see it going as follows:
⬆️Deone Walker
⬆️Mario Eugenio
⬆️Alessandro Lorenzetti
⬆️Dillon Bell
⬆️D'Arco Perkins-McAllister
⬇️Jordan Phillips
⬇️Lucas Heyer
⬇️Micah Pollard
⬇️George Fitzpatrick
And it will be in or out time for Dillon Tatum. I'm hoping he joins the fold but it's not a certainty.
Rinse, wash, repeat.
Damn - some of you are so negative, I almost ALMOST feel sorry for you. The same trolls who post on this site post the same bullshit on social media. Recruits read this stuff....so when a 3 star signs and people come out bitching about him being a 3 star, how do you think that makes our fanbase look?
For what its worth, this class is shaping up well. If they stay on course with some of these other kids, you should see a top 10 (potentially top 5) recruiting class.
Exactly...
A 5* commit who is actively trying to bring on board the best talent w him makes a positive public statement and people here actively choose to shit on it...wtf.
I mean log on, see the link, read the OP and decide...yeah I need to bitch and complain to feel better. What miserable lives...
We have only had one top 10 class since 2017 so I'm not optimistic with the way the class has started.
So no one has a reason to be a little down on this program huh? Okay
I never ever bag on the kids. 25 - 3 stars COULD end up being enough to get us 10-2 levels and that is a helluva start. Only thing that drags me to the Bpone levels is our damn offensive coaching. It hasnt changed and its a mess. For those that want to be eternal optimists its always "our Qb had a lingering injury" or "wait until our net QB shows us what he has". I dont trust the offensive coaching at all. We have wasted so much talent its a damn crime. The talent is enough to win every game short of OSU and maybe a tough bowl team. Ill give passes on Penn St and Wisc at a 50/50 clip. Beyond that its the coaching not the kids.
Was it too much work to just say Will Johnson in the title?
