I am not advocating that Brown be cut loose, but he sure as heck doesn't get a pass. It's his problem to fix along with Harbaugh. It is a constant source of frustration to watch a team like MSU with 2-3 star talent on defense outplay our defense against common opponents.
Watch what other teams are doing and learn something!
December 8th, 2019 at 1:22 AM ^
MSU may not be the best recent example.
December 8th, 2019 at 1:17 AM ^
That is dang near all of the teams that have beaten Ohio State in the last 7 or 8 years.
December 7th, 2019 at 9:52 PM ^
COACHING is a problem with Michigan. Does Wisconsin pay their players more than Michigan? Get off your high horses and start recruiting football players. The problem isn't that we don't play our players. The problem is our coaching and higher ups don't know what they are doing.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:58 PM ^
27-0 second half. How you gonna spin that one big boy ?
December 7th, 2019 at 9:52 PM ^
Who has it better than us?
Clearly at least 3 other teams in the conference.
December 7th, 2019 at 9:54 PM ^
Hire Jim Leonard!
December 7th, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
Maybe wait until the game is actually over. Idiot.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:59 PM ^
This didn’t age well
December 7th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
Kentucky Fried Chicken & Waffles are BACK!
December 7th, 2019 at 10:00 PM ^
Wait til the end of the game for this. OSU could come out and put 28 in the second because the universe hates us.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:04 PM ^
This aged well
December 7th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
I agree with the aggression in general. But how you scheme that aggression makes all the difference. You, indeed, need to play smart as well.
Otherwise, this is why the CFP needs to be expanded and this is exactly why the elite programs want it to stay as it is.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
This is Wisconsin's second game against OSU. Game 1 they lost by 31 points - were the UW coaches bad then? Did they get a lot smarter, or did they have weeks to go over the film and make adjustments? Would n'tbe great if we could have a stout DT to help stop the run, but I don't think this game is an indictment of anyone.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Wisconsin's starting DT is a freshman. If only we had a couple of 5* freshman DTs on our roster....
December 7th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
If you read his post he was talking about Don Brown, and in turn defense. Wisconsin gave up 38 against OSU in the horseshoe. Better than us at home, no? And with less talent I’ll add.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:22 PM ^
Better than UM, sure. But I don't think anyone is bragging about giving up 38.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:27 PM ^
To most teams, sure.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:26 PM ^
Bucks can’t be stopped.
Fire Jim Leonhard!

Bucks can’t be stopped.
Fire Jim Leonhard!
December 7th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
We need to hire Jim Leonhard right now. 2 million a year. 3 year contract. Consistently does a good job against the best competition.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:07 PM ^
He isn’t leaving his alma mater for Michigan.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:06 PM ^
This didn’t age well
December 7th, 2019 at 11:13 PM ^
I’ll take Don Brown. The same Wisconsin defense that two years ago got shredded by the Michigan offense we begged to replace to the current one?
December 7th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
I'm not exactly a Don Brown apologist but . . . .DON'T JINX IT!
December 7th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Wisconsin can run the ball. That is a key factor. No other team, including Wisconsin earlier, could run the ball. In addition, Wisconsins WRs are catching the ball.
I am enjoying this though!
December 7th, 2019 at 10:16 PM ^
Michigan showed the path to beating OSU on offense last week. If you can stop them even a little on defense, they can be beat. It doesn't matter if Wisconsin wins or loses. The Playoff teams are taking note and will be able to beat OSU.
December 8th, 2019 at 6:12 AM ^
If they are so good at running the ball why only 8 carries for Taylor in the second half when up by 14 pts.?
December 7th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
The talent gap. The the the online classes. Blah blah blah. We played like dogshit on defense.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:06 PM ^
Wisconsin lost by 31 to this OSU last time they played.
Also the game isn’t over.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:18 PM ^
wisco isn't giving up 50 points in the next half.... Even with their lower ranked recruits....
December 7th, 2019 at 10:24 PM ^
A loss is a loss.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:50 PM ^
No, a loss is not just a loss. How badly you lose, or how badly your O/D play, reflects on the coaches and the team - the same way winning does. That’s why you have guys running up the score for the playoff committee. They wouldn’t do so if a loss was just a loss or a win was just a win. It matters how you win or lose.
It’s a lot different to lose a game by giving up 7 as opposed to 70. I don’t understand how it’s difficult to understand that the DC would be graded more poorly after the latter performance.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:54 PM ^
I don’t understand how you don’t understand that bitching about UM’s defense on here achieves zero.
What exactly do you hope to achieve by doing this?
December 7th, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
Neither does defending a coach that gets his teeth kicked in yearly in November
December 7th, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
And the same applies to you doing the opposite - we are on a Michigan sports forum fool. And there’s no bitching, I’m stating facts and refuting your idiotic take.
You make a dumb take then try to come with insults lol - you’re laughable.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
So what does getting outscored 27-0 in a half mean? Good coaching or bad?
December 7th, 2019 at 10:06 PM ^
FACT: Don Brown’s defenses have been statistically overrated since he doesn’t take out starters until garbage time, even during blowouts. Downside is this hampers development of younger players.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:19 PM ^
Don Brown's defense has consistently struggled when the lights shine brightest.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:23 PM ^
Kenpom Don*
December 8th, 2019 at 12:29 AM ^
He coaches basketball?
December 7th, 2019 at 10:08 PM ^
Don Brown is a great guy. He has limits though.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
I guess the whole We don’t have the talent to compete with them narrative gets thrown out the window after tonight
December 7th, 2019 at 10:50 PM ^
You sure about that, genius?
December 7th, 2019 at 11:33 PM ^
I would say they faired pretty well. 34-21 OSU with Wisconsin driving. They’ll probably lose, but great performance by them. He did say compete, not win.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:41 PM ^
It only looks "great" because OSU didn't score on their first three drives. Since then they've scored on six straight until punting when the game was long decided.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:47 PM ^
Well the full game is counted, no? Fair take though. OSU definitely pulled away in the third.
December 8th, 2019 at 12:07 AM ^
If it was Michigan in place of Wisconsin, and lost like this, people would lose their minds around here. Imagine how bad the coaches would be roasted for 0-27 in second half. It would be ugly.
December 7th, 2019 at 11:20 PM ^
Brandon Peters lost to Eastern Michigan.
Guess he didn't have enough talent to compete.
December 7th, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
JFC. This is clearly an OSU hangover.
OSU put a ton of focus and energy into 11/30/2019.
Tonight was an afterthought to OSU. They assumed they would just roll in Indy and kick the shit out of WI again.
They were wrong.
If they get boat raced in the 2nd half then I don’t think they should make the CFP.
Put the winner in the CFP.
Power 5 Conference winners should get auto bids.
