This makes me genuinely sad. I had hopes this young man would pull through all this, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. At least he got to live his dream, even for a little bit, with the football team.

If memory serves, I believe he also had a son or daughter he was caring for as this was all going on.
The world is simply a cruel and unforgiving place, for no reason at all. I hope his child and family can find peace in all of this.
December 9th, 2022 at 12:57 PM ^
May Meechie rest in, and his family find - peace. His relationship with Michigan and the team reflects the character and culture of everyone.
Life passes quickly - and, seeing the happiness the team provided and shared with him - touches on the important things in life - and what each of us can do.
Go Blue! Always…

I'm happy Big Meech was able to get his message out there and was able to get some funds for his child before he passed away.
Big Red Nation is in pain today. Once a Big Red, Always a Big Red.

Rest in peace. Meechie. If you happen to come across a little extra money, consider a donation to your favorite cancer charity research program.
