Perhaps Unnoticed: Nordin is functional again

It's been a long road back for Quinn but he seems to be kicking well again. Could be big down the road for this team in a close game.

Our special teams also featured Kahleke's blocked punt, which resulted in yet another short field for our lately-dynamic offense to work on.

But I must say, something that's long taken me aback, somewhat, about the rules: if a punter gets away the ball cleanly and you try your damnedest to avoid him, but give him a little girl's love-tap while flying by (while out of your own control), you're flagged for 5 or 15 yards.

If on the other hand you get a finger on the ball, or enough fingers to clearly/indisputably alter its flight pattern off the punter's foot, then slam into him breaking his arm and/or leg, fine and dandy!!!

Don't know if this has been talked about already, or if it showed up on TV.  After Khaleke blocked the punt and after the ball was recovered, he sprinted straight to Partridge and jumped on him and they were celebrating big time.   Absolutely loved it.  What I surmise is that Partridge and Khaleke have been talking about how close K's been getting to a block.  They watched film and saw that there was an opportunity against Sparty.  Khaleke took advantage of what they saw together and made a huge play, and then those dude's celebrated like little kids over their success.  Really thought that was awesome.

I'm glad he is kicking well but Moody earned his spot and is money within 40 yards.

I wish Nordin the best but I hope this doesn't overshadow the job Moody has done.  I still trust Moody far more for shorter FG's but glad they are giving Nordin a chance to redeem himself.
