We've now got everybody fixed except you because my good friends live in Rockford and therefore I can remember your name offhand when testing things.

We've confirmed that this will let them accumulate points from here on out. Less than 100 because then they get to experience rolling over into a trusted user.

Is The Corner Bar still there in downtown Rockford? And is their hotdog-eating Wall of Fame still a thing?
It is, however in the summer of 2017 it caught on fire and other than the outer brick facade, the building was a total loss. The story has a happy ending, though, as the Corner Bar reopened roughly a year later and yes, there is still the World Famous Hot Dog Hall of Fame.

I used to stop there semi-regularly back in my post-high school days (I grew up in nearby Alpine Township), last made a visit there about a half dozen years ago with a couple of old GR-area buddies, had some brews and maxxed out at 4 hot dogs.
Glad to see they rebuilt after the fire and definitely will have to make a stop there in the near future.
Hey rob f, Corner Bar still serving hot dogs. Eat 12 and get your name on the wall. They did a nice job of rebuilding it but still not the same for me.
Been going there for over 50 years. Used to ride my bike up to the take out window back in the sixties.
Still enjoy eating there and nice tap selection. They used to have two taps, PBR and PBR......??

It's ridiculous that his bans mean absolutely nothing, that he craps on these hello posts and dominates so many threads. He makes the board so much worse and yet nothing is ever done. I know mods can only do so much, but it's an indictment of how little Brian cares about anything other than the front page. There are many things that could be done if there was any will to improve the forum.
"Nothing is ever done" and "He has been banned multiple times and just starts a new account" are not the same things. But we've got something in the works.

I think this one should have been allowed. Yes the political aspect is there, but this is also an intersection of sports and sports apparel - two topics discussed ad nauseum on this site.
Some judicious pruning of the comments to remove the absurd and inflammatory comments would have sufficed.
