Next man up! We lose Hutchinson and Ojabo and still have the defensive lineman of the year? And he misses THE Game and our pass defense hardly misses a beat? These line coaches have been flat out amazing.

not a surprise to me at all. i was a little worried about our safeties, but our cover corners (incl mike s) are about the best we've ever had as a group. plus, will j coming off the bench. the safeties were a bit shaky in the first half but were outstanding in the second half.

that said, a little more pass rush would help.

Hopefully UFR will tell us, but was this part of the game plan?  Play the run first, play the scramble in case they've turned on scrambles for Stroud?

Not nearly as much as for Maryland or PSU, but maybe a bit.  So many of Strouds throws were off, I wonder if scouting indicates that "real pressure" isn't as needed, compared to "good coverage make him hold the ball and freak out even at the slightest pressure".

I think there was one play where there was zero pressure, but good coverage, and the timer went off - he dumped it off on the right to a TE or something who got tackled for a loss of yardage.  I understand QBs are trained to not hold onto the ball forever, but that was weird to me in an age where you see Bryce Young and Caleb Williams having grown up watching Aaron Rodgers holding the ball forever.

He isn't top 5 today but by the time the combine is done he will be. He is going to look great out there in shorts throwing to guys running wide open routes. He'll have the measurables etc. It only takes 1 team to move up for him to be a top 5 maybe even top 3 guy. I wouldn't be too surprised to see that happen by the time the draft rolls around.

Mike Morris did get in on 11 snaps, which is odd.  Does anyone know the circumstances? Did he re-injure his ankle or was it similar to the Corum situation where he just wasn't fully healed and was less than 50%?

I really hope this is something that can heal before the playoffs.

Congratulations!

Unfortunately, we'll never be able to beat tOSU with him on the sidelines. . . . oh, wait . . . what's that you say, Reality?

Man, if you're a DL or OL, how in the world are you not wanting to come play for these coaches? The development (position coaches and S&C) turns 3 stars into conference DL of the year after losing 2 first-round picks from the year before, plus you're playing an NFL level scheme. If you want to win and be as prepared as possible for the NFL there is absolutely no better team to play for.

I'm very glad Santa Ono is in place.   Why?   Because of the confusion I expect to occur - and, in fact - HAS been taking place to those who notice details.

What do I mean?   Well, Michigan has been recognized and referred to - globally - in a variety of ways.   These references include: The University of Michigan, UMich, Michigan, The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, etc.

The changes occurring - DLU (yes, Defensive Line University).  OLU.. (Offensive Line University).  TEU (Tight End University).  RBU (Running Back University).  And, don't forget - NFL U (Yes, the athletic program is developing players who will need to go to work on Sundays.)

Academic excellence as always been standard at Michigan.  The AAU (American Association of Universities) may be contacting Santa Ono to "clear up" these other acronyms that seem to be associated with our beloved institution.   Hopefully, Santa Ono can clear up any confusion that arises.
