JH Status

Business as usual at Schem.

Was told today that getting the extension and raises done before Bloody Monday was the plan.

Another person, whom was recently hired ;)  has been told nothing other than ONWARD. (BTW he and the staff love the TE they offered yesterday from the 2025 class)  The recruiting department and few staffers working for the directors are shuffling around their responsibilities and making NIL a major focus.  Much more to come, but recruiting has probably 3-4 more people and extra resources being made available.

Not sure if it's been reported but it looks like RO is taking a promotion, unless he takes the other job offer (I believe he would only leave if coach leaves)..

Lastly, sounds like JH has told people close to him (BTW this would not be ToddA-that guy..) that he would consider the NFL again in the right situation, I believe even WM knows this.

IMO there is only one guy to hire (if we are talking legitimate options) if JH were to leave this year, LF.

Cheers

Does he bring along ES as his associate HC?

Is he willing to leave the comforts of Bugtussle in his rearview mirror and move to the flatlands of Ann Arbor?

Will the Clampetts and Bodines be invited along?

And will Jethro's academic record be good enough to get past the admissions office?

All of these codes seem pretty easy due to where each is connected. Over the years Ghost as had some that are real head scratchers though.

Anyone who wouldn’t want Warde to go after Fickell is crazy. I hate the idea of anyone internally. None of those guys are ready. Nobody on our staff is getting P5 offers right now. You don’t give Them Michigan just because you might be worried a few guys leave. Gotta think most would wait to see who is selected before making decisions. You have to look at Aranda, Fickell, and Campbell. If Warde doesn’t, he isn’t doing his job.

People said the same stuff about Reilly, Swinney, Day, and now Freeman at Notre Dame. I am not advocating promoting from within but there could be multiple worthy candidates on the staff but as fans we are not exposed to these coaches enough to know what they are capable of.

Of course if KH leaves Warde will do his job and look at several candidates. But how well we did this year is also a reflection of all coaches on the team. In a year Gattis will be a head coach somewhere. warde would be foolish to not at least interview him and who knows maybe promote him and give him his shot

Ghostof,

I Googled you about 2 hours ago just to see if you posted anything. Thanks for the update.

any idea why Harbaugh would leave now? Like what is “the right situation” for the NFL would you guess?

I would assume it involves a specific set of teams (or locations), him having roster control, current roster build and contract terms.

No reason to go work in suboptimal city, for a GM (Harbaugh is notorious for his issues with administration at SF) with a bad roster without much contractual incentive. He’s 58, coaching where he grew up and went to school. It’s going to be an enticing offer that gets him to jump in all likelihood.

Then the “would you guess” part of your statement is a little odd if you’re now asking if he has specific details from the source.

If you’re looking for specifics, you’re not going to get them. That’s something Harbaugh would be keeping close to the best and GoJ’s sources wouldn’t know. It would be unwise for Harbaugh to release the specifics of what he’s looking for.

Seriously, the initials are ridiculous. I would guess about half the people here know ALL of the coaches names and could identify them by initials.  Very few (guessing around 5%) here would know more than one of the support staff, if any at all, much less by initials.
