Got Dang dude I have a 2018 f150 with 80k and just dropped 3k on fixes including new wheel bearings. My transmission is making me nervous and now you say this? Guess I need this thread after all. I need to tow 6,500lbs but don’t want another pickup. What fits, crowd? Thinking Escalade…
If i pick the best play, its Corum’s run against alabama, and then maybe Hutchinson’s play against OSU, either calling out and steamrolling the left tackle or his last sack.
Not grave dancing, but this is the news we needed to see today.
in reference to the last couple sentences, I hope warde already assembled a list of replacements. This move was on his mind and he should have a start on it already. Time will tell
This is good advice. I would add on about lessons:
are you athletic and a quick learner? If yes, group lessons will be excruciatingly slow for you. They teach to the lowest common denominator. If you want to get good quickly, get a private lesson.
if you have janky feet, the ski boots will kill you. Go snowboarding.
I do both (learned to snowboard in middle age). Snowboarding is fun but if i have to choose one, skiing is more fun overall. Flat terrain sucks as a snowboarder and strapping in and out are brutal on the hips if you’re not super flexible at our age (I’m more flexible than most and it got old quickly).
I thought this might be about season tickets. Renewals are coming due soon. Who’s coming back and who’s giving them up in a blaze of glory? And why? Fire Warde?
Seems to have a great eye for great coaching talent and/or developing great coaching talent. And has experience for a staff that is generally lacking experience.
In addition to the scheme and player retention, this seems like a wise hire.
Poor kid here. UM BS Chemical engineering. MBA. Currently CIO.I wanted to make money as quickly as possible too.
I’d suggest he finds something that he’s good at, and to grind hard enough to show that’s he’s good at learning, achieving goals, and working with people. Go to job fairs and tell his story. Interview and tell his story. He will find an audience.
And reassess frequently. First year at Michigan doesn’t have to define years 2-4. First job doesn’t define a career. Things can change and careers are winding. Just stay focused, add value, and have a (flexible) plan
Good luck to him! I hope he tells a beautiful story in 30 years.
(edit) I suppose I should comment on the money making aspect- yes, the degree should be in a field whose first job has a good salary. Business, IT are both strong options. Don’t get a degree that requires grad school right away before you’re making money.
I used a similar line in a rather large business meeting recently and it appears to have gone unnoticed. I told my direct reports afterwards that I was disappointed in them not catching it (one is even a big swifty).
well done +1 to you sir
Nope it was me and my brother. We switched seats in the stadium when wash was scoring and then were shut out from that point. Then, we decided we needed more offense so we got the couple in front of us (who we didn’t know) to switch seats so that the offense got back on track. Sure enough, that worked and a convincing win was back on track!
Man, this guy (Brian), this site, this defense, this team, this win. Wow, I’m so good with everything right now guys. Brian so glad you got to post this one!
Seth I’m driving to Dallas pretty much right after the game to catch an early Tuesday flight (yes, that’s tight!). I know it’s early for you but it could be an option. Lmk!
Set the culture last year when he allowed the most talented player to play how he did. Culture wins (or loses in this case). I’m additionally surprised bc as I recall Howard was the architect of bringing the fab 5 together, but maybe that’s the recruitment skill he has…
We have talented people this year too but they aren’t going anywhere together right now. Might need a players only meeting to decide who they want to be.
But they did add flights. I’m on delta to HOU Sunday which was 2/3 EMPTY when I booked but STILL charging $2,400 for seats. I booked into HOU and out of Dallas to save $1k since I could catch a ride with friends to Dallas after the game.
Everyone getting a cut off the fans’ backs.
I hated how few touches he got before the 4th quarter. Dude doesn’t drop balls, needs to feature!!! Glad they fixed that in q4. As good as Semaj could be, the stage was too big for him.
All the complaints in the “Offense” section are why this coaching staff are dizzying to me and why I have no expectations going into Alabama game. They seem so obvious. I will be pleased if we deal accordingly and win, or shrug because they are who we thought they were. This ain’t bpone; I’m as optimistic as they get, but sometimes it is what it is.
also Semaj. “Y’all have a great day”. I’m dead. What a way to end an interview.
This game is boring as hell. I doubt we’re saving plays. I’ll never understand the play calling at Michigan. Always so much to be desired. Play some fucking offense. I type this while sitting at the game at halftime so I’ve committed to watching this. Which is another thing- I have wifi at a Michigan football game. Why can’t that happen in AA? Someone get me a beer.
Eh, I saw lots of effective pre-snap motion to get non-will Johnson on Harrison and a lot of them worked. Defense just had better strategy to prevent most 1-1s from happening, crossing route for a TD aside.
But maybe I just talked myself into your argument of “Marvin, get open”…
Corum putting up the 6 and 5 at that moment is …. I don’t even have words … transcendent? Enlightened? Next level? There was so much hype in the moment - and he thought of his fallen teammate. Damn. Corum is that dude.
I was also pleased with the dearth of buckeyes. Well done!
i was annoyed by the block provided to OSU at the south end zone. Meyer spent some of his available time with that group. Is definitely still a Buckeye.

Good thing we kept the receipt!

For games, I pick 2021 OSU then Rose bowl.

Yes. In fact, the close games were ones in which we were not performing to our standard (maaaybe not OSU but eff them).

Tix going for $1 tonight. I bought upper bowl preseason for $30 each. I’m more bitter than your favorite IPA

If they draft some CBs and edge rushers and teach the whole defense to tackle. So many missed tackles to lament.
You’re both right. Purdy scrambling is an underrated advantage from last night. Goff is limited when shit breaks down but catch the damn ball people.
There is a pattern of poor leadership when your best people keep leaving.
Seriously. Is it also late on a Friday?
The home slate is amazing but with new coach? Yowza
LSU saban?
michigan:…
NCAA: billion
michigan: pwned
yet…don’t care, won the ‘chip! Thanks coach need a ride?
Damn bro, I was not ready for this this morning. Beautiful.

Literally yesterday I had an employee ask if I went to Michigan as we discussed my fandom and trip to Houston. Sigh.

Yes. A thousand times yes.
We're going to win and I’m anxious AF.

I thought he was headed out of bounds! Baller!
What’s nuts is that Corum saw that coming and cut again! Like how did he see that TOO. Just a phenomenal run. Outstanding. Dare I say Terrific
Also get fresh warm tortillas while at HEB. Best grocery store ever.

So many DUDES on this team! Hell yeah!!
Josiah Stewart with the play!!!! Blocked his guy into Milroe
Anyone know if he’s doing this game?
With Dijon Ketchup
Unless they lose to Michigan
So?

My 12 yo turned to me after that and goes, “game over”
1) I AM NOT ENTERTAINED dot gif
2) the O line is suspect
3) when oh when do we “actually turn it on”? Y’all forgot about the TCU game already?
You’re not cool by playing it cool. It’s ok to let the dogs eat.

regarding transfer portal- Clarrett is going after Manning on Twitter so he agrees with you!
Now that we’ve beaten OSU, is Michigan’s culture also built for national championships? I hope so!!
I was also pining for JJ runs. I read in one of the hundreds of post game articles I devoured that he’s still nursing an ankle?
We selling jerseys!
I was also pleased with the dearth of buckeyes. Well done!

2018? Maybe 2017? One of those years we had a game winning interception dropped….
Fucking auburn
