Dickinson gets called for going straight up and not making contact. 3 Rutgers players foul him 2 times each and the ref refuses to call anything until he is forced to.

Well, the team looks well coached tonight, I gotta say.

The rotations look tighter but that's probably because Diabate and TW are out, but still.

Still too many TO's , I  wonder why?

Rutgers is such a weird team. Gio and Harper look like AAs sometimes and hopelessly awkward and ungainly at others. They've got a big man who flashes good skills and some decent role guys.

Jeckyl and Hyde.

The quadrant this win falls into is not very important imo. Rutgers will probably end up outside top 75 NET. However, this win gets the team 1 win away from .500 in B1G play; a .500 record + one win in the BTT will get them into the NCAAT.

Martelli was a fantastic hire by Juwan. He is EXACTLY what was needed. Experience, savvy, class.

And huge props to Martelli for gracefully accepting a lesser role.

Class act all the way.

A lot of folks have been down on Houstan and questioning Juwan for keeping him out there. I completely disagree.

This team can really struggle with outside shooting. The only way the team was going to get anywhere this year was for Houstan to start figuring it out - they just don't have any other real options.

He sure came through tonight - let's hope he can keep it going. If he's a legitimate scoring threat, this is a pretty dangerous team.

This was a great win, all things considered. Also, even though it's not Quad 1, it will still be looked at as a quality win, as Rutgers is likely to make the tournament. My guess is 2 more regular season wins gets us in. One more would make it really dicey, as no one has ever gotten an at-large being anything less than 2 over .500.

But it doesn't matter - this team is winning all the upcoming home games.

Much needed quality conference win.  Well done even short handed.   Coach Martelli gives props to Assistant Coaches and players.  Classy.  Go Blue !

I liked seeing Houstan at the 4 alongside Brooks, Jones, Hunter, and an improving Bufkin.

Also, Frankie Collins has to be one of the best pickup basketball players in the country. Man can he fly to the basket and make some tough shots at that rim.

I haven't read the game column, just the comments in this thread. Guessing we lost by 50 since Jones sucks and Eli sucks and Houston sucks and the whole team sucks and has low basketball IQ?

Some of you need to get a grip.

Just finished the game on delay. Outstanding effort from start to finish.  I loved the constant Martelli adulation from the announcers - while also still giving love and respect to J Howard. Martelli is such a generous human being. Hearing him give so much love to Eisley and Washington warms the heart. Best coach winning percentage in B1G history? That would be Phil Martelli, 100%
