MGoRadio 8.7: Rock, Paper, Scissors
Tailgate Tomorrow at Venue
Matt and the MGoBus will be hosting a tailgate starting at 2:30 PM at Venue Restaurant & Bar, 1919 S. Industrial Highway (where Lucky's used to be). See where we podcast, try the food, watch the first period of the hockey game. You can also park there—it's $50 but they give you a $50 voucher for food and drinks. RSVP here if you're coming—those who RSVP'd will get 2 drink tickets too.

[After THE JUMP: What's to be said]
---------------------
1. MSU Preview
starts at the top
How much respect do we give a QB who can lay it in there or get lit up. Jayden Reed is a star right? How much of their defensive renaissance was getting back two of their veteran stars and how much was Wisconsin's offense being so bad they got their coach fired?
2. UM Regent Jordan Acker
starts at 31:14
Direction of the university, NIL, etc. Then Brian goes YIMBY.
3. Penn State: The Offense
starts at 49:50
Blowout dissection fun time. That was lots of rushing yards: how did they do it? Maybe they shifted more McCarthy practice time to run game? It worked! What was PSU doing?
4. Penn State: The Defense
starts at 1:08:07
All aboard the Sainristil train. Minter was PREPARED for this one.
About the Featured Musician
Obviously saved this one for this one. Detroit-based White Bee (aka Shannon Maureen Barnes) is a kaleidoscope-pop/soul act who recently opened for friend of the blog Mayer Hawthorne. Also she has a song called "Beat State." Go listen to her latest album Psychedelic Flight Attendant (2020) on Spotify and report back. It's a really slick mix.
- Beat State
- Antihistamine
- Borough of Churches
Also because Across 110th Street will get our Youtubes taken down, the opener and outro:
- “The Employee is Not Afraid”—Bear vs. Shark
- “Ruska Vodka”—Motorboat

I think Brian has said "Michigan" when referring to MSU twice thus far. Disrespekt?

Let's fuck up these Sparty shits. No mercy.

I've said this before and I won't let it go until someone on the mgostaff addresses it. Alex is Brian's son. There's no denying it.

Can we talk about architecture of Brian’s house as well?

I don't like niche shelving.
There. I said it.

And Jon Johnston of Nebraska is his father.

I appreciate Seth’s appreciation of Sean Clifford. He seems to get a lot of grief from PSU fans, etc. but I’ve always found him to be a fun, admirable player. Taking a beating, of course…

East Lansing also has El Azteco, a really good Mexican food restaurant, and the Wharton Center if you are into culture and stuff. Otherwise, yeah, I moved out of EL 34 years ago and haven’t missed anything about the town.

I read in the Dueling Columns they are going to have a kick ass chicken tenders joint.

You had on Jordan Acker and didn't ask one question about Donovan Edwards? Any other regent and I might not have found that weird but Acker is the one who publicly reached out to the program about it.
I know I am going to get non-functional negs from the 15 people who visit the comments on MGoRadio. But it's weird if you don't find it weird.
