If If Mrs. Harbaugh has a chance to weigh in on the decision and has an opportunity to not uproot the family a little longer by staying with San Fran or coach the Raiders for the same amount or more money, how can you fault them for that decision? So he can take a potential pay cut with crappy weather, more work and rules to make fans happy? Makes less sense AND YES, Cleveland may be just as good or better place to live than Ann Arbor. If you have not spent much time...or at all in Cleveland, you are making idiotic comments about a city you know nothing about. There are dumpy parts of the city but eclectic and "artsy" areas as well. Diverse places to eat, outdoor places to be, decent art and cultural places to see, and lower cost of living. It is in Ohio, the biggest downfall obviously but better then throwing out unsubstantiated ramble about a decent city.
Second that I agree with your assessment about Benny's, their bacon have gotten better the past few months as well. Chances are good you will see athletes. Saw DG order bacon...chewy, soggy, pale bacon. Not sure if that contributes to slower movement but not having as much fat cooked off can only contribute to more sacks when he has to run from unblocked pass rushers. I guess he could be storing fat so he has enough energy to run from the unblocked pass rushers in the 4th quarter.
You could be You could be little less offensive but I have to agree with you that A2 is the closest thing to a food destination in Michigan as it gets. I hear people rave about the food and choices here but I personally think a lot of places are overrated and overpriced...except Mani's pistachio pizza...best pizza I have ever had(I know, its not breakfast but I would want it for breakfast if the place opened up before 4pm on the weekends).
Honestly Honestly Taco Bell has the best breakfast burritos in town, I'm sure I'll be negged for this but just my opinion. I've done an internship in southern Cal and you can't find anything like it here in Michigan, maybe Chicago in Mexican town.
seems Seems realistic to me Harbaugh isn't coming. I agree with the posters that many on here discredit anyone who says JH isn't coming and reading into situations that is grey at best and saying it means he is coming. I would like for the school to go after Stoops with authority. He is the stallion that I want. If the unicorn(JH) runs by the stable and Michigan has an opportunity to coral him during the same time period, it would work out even better.
WTF Hope that news is garbage. I don't want those two and not renewing my tickets if they are hired. I barely used my tickets as it was this year. Harbaugh may or may not come, why not make a big run at Stoops? He would be a Carr level coach but willing to adjust his schemes to more modern type of football and compete for NCs every so often and doesn't seem like an a******.
If 2015 If 2015 is what "coach" is based on, incoming freshmen will not have played for Hoke. If you say Hoke recruited the incoming freshmen, then there will be seniors RR recruited on the 2015 team as well.
That was an interesting point RVB came in during what I imagine a laid back players' coach during his final year. Then a hard nosed, high intensity guy comes in whom I imagine is more demanding using a different tone and some of the players didn't like that. Then Fred Flintstone comes in and claps for the players no matter what the players do. I would probably like to have the nice guy clapping for me or my grandpa not as demanding as my father as well. To me RR would've been more like my dad, more intense, expecting more from me then anyone else. My point is that maybe being a nice coach didn't work for sustained success. I have a feeling BO was no peach and while respected, there had to be some of his players that thought he was an a******. I'm sure Hoke is a great guy but Harbaugh doesn't seam like a peach either. I would like to see an intense coach who shows some emotion on the sideline again, I can support that. Even Carr launched into angry grandpa on the sidelines from time to time. Hoke reminded me to clap no matter what...still trying to figure out how to apply that in my personal/professional life....next time I get a flat tire? Maybe when one of our employees makes a mistake? Applications are endless. As for RVB, this letter gets more and more irritating for me, RR was his coach and it feels like he is dissing him in a way but I digress.
Youth Youth certainly contributed to it, though I thought Hoke had a bit more time with the roster since there was enough upperclassmen talent his first year while he "coached" up the youngsters. In contrast to RR's first year where the talent transfered or defected to the NFL and try to build a team from the minimal talent left on the roster. Both obviously did not produced as expected by the fans but the trajectory of the two coached teams is telling.
Lack of Backdoor cuts and alley oops this year or am I missing something? Maybe its lack of penetration for the the backdoor cuts and lack of athletisim for lack of alley oops. Also giving up a lot of backdoor cuts in this game.
unconditional support I hope whomever becomes the new coach; whether its a spread, pro style, etc. they have the full support of everyone. Very telling when a former player confirms the transfers, players not buying in, lack of support for RR vs. Hoke. Wondered why so many underclassmen played under RR and sounds to me like the players who were here wasn't buying in while underclassmen were. As the those underclassmen began maturing, so did the wins. Albeit slowly. So RVB, if everyone was buying into Hoke, why did the win totals decline year over year? Why only cite the first year of RR and Hoke? The part that irritate me is the fact that he didn't buy in and give 100% regardless of who the coach is. To me, a "Michigan Man" tries his or her best regardless of circumstance and he is more or less admitting he and possibly some teammates did not do that. Not sure what to think about the letter.
was thinking the same thing NJIT doesn't have a big lineup, like to see more drives to the hoop.
make it rain! 3s
Chatman Chatman has looked "lost" out on the floor most of the games I have watched so far. Like to see him be more active on the offense and not stand around as much. Looking forward to watching his development as the season progresses. His length can become a good assets.
I do agree about Harbaugh I do agree with you about Harbaugh's success and maybe a little bit about the borderline kids at Michigan. My S.O. is an LSA grad from Michigan and use to tutor many of the athletes during the Carr and a few from RR era. From what she tells me, most of the tutored players should be considered borderline as most of them barely had comprehension at middle school levels for reading, writing, and math...subjects she tutored. That is why I feel differently about academics for football players here. Not saying other schools are better, just saying the standards for entrance may not be that much different relative to other schools, particularly in the B1G.
Academics? I can't get over the fact so many people on this blog boast about the academic entrance for the football program. Majority of the football players that have, is, and will be on the Michigan football team would not get into the school on their academic merits alone. Most of those students get in under the NCAA minimums and long as they get through the clearinghouse, they will be on the team. I see many of the current players eating at the same places that I frequent in town and based on their conversations, nearly everyone on this board would rip them apart on their use of the English language...that includes nearly all of the players Hoke has recruited. If some of you think Michigan's recruits are much more intelligent then all the other schools, I have some snake oil to sell you. There are "MSU Level" personalities on the team as well. Just because these players are on the Michigan team, some fans think they are automatically better in everything including their character. Can we stop with the "academics" meme and take the Michigan blinders off?
Why not RR? I'm sure it probably would not happen but why not RR? The one piece he would be missing is a mobile quarterback. Despite the past "failure" here, if we give him more support, he will succeed over time. Besides Harbaugh, maybe Miles, no one on that list is attractive as RR to me. A new T-shirt will be created...R2A2... P.S...this would be RR with Casteel on staff...
