On the West Coast, I was talking with a guy (he made it out) who was in WT1. My brother-in-law was in the Navy, and his office at the Pentagon was directly hit, luckily, he was giving a speech offsite. I lost a good friend who was in WT2, beyond sad.
Also an 8hcp, I would go to the range and work on moving the ball both left and right. If you can get back to where a draw and fade are in your toolkit, I think it will solve other problems. Without getting too deep into mechanics, try what Byron Nelson did, think "a draw has counter-clockwise spin on the ball (righty), and a fade the oppo. Also try hitting to various distances with the same club to ingrain your feel. Just my two cents, good luck.
Could not agree more on all points. Sadly, the club sports machine and the early brainwashing of parents with the promise of college scholarships is a powerful force to fight against.

Q1 I don't think it is trending downhill, if so, maybe slightly.
Q2 Coaches get a quick Yellow card, then red if needed (rare). I warn parents if they keep chirping (the loudest parents are the ones who know know the rules). If you are consistent and strict right from the start, the game usually goes ok.
Agree that he was down. If you freeze it, his knee is on the turf as he throws-unreal they missed it. Also, the Bama D holds every play. Hopefully, it will be called more often going forward.
I grew up knowing his family living a few houses away. A wild passion-filled family on all fronts. I can't imagine Yale and the Socratic Method aimed at a student who wasn't ready for it. I loved the guy. RIP Yale K.
