Nah, 40 seems pretty random. Did the person look at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, etc and decide hey I got something that meets my narrative here at 40...which I think is to show Cincinnati doesn't belong? Top 10 or 25 is pretty standard, but maybe it didn't make Cinci look bad enough?
What do all the teams not named Michigan have in common? They play against Michigan. Some less than others, you know like Illinois, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Purdue to name a few.
Wisconsin puts this outside, as the playside end dives inside of Poggi. They’ve got a safety crashing down hard and Darboh(-2) doesn’t realize that. He runs by that guy; tackle at the line.
To me it seems like Wisconsin forgot to cover Darboh and he didn't want to go in motion. He was pointing in the hopes that Speight would realize this, snap the ball, and throw it to him so he can run 72 yards for the TD. Once coverage finally shows up he decides to motion in and misses the block badly. He then returns to the huddle quite distraught.
