I don’t think Urb is too scared about what’s going on in AA. He’s more worried about what it’s going to take to beat Bama/Georgia/Clemons for national titles.
Significant coaching changes need to made on the offensive side. Play calling was way too predictable. No confidence on that side of the ball. How we don’t have a QB on the roster who can’t stop throwing balls to the ankles of our WR is baffling. Where does UofM go after another 4-5 loss season in 2018?
Plus, this may be the most athletic and deep team that Beilein has had here. Freshman (Livers & Poole) are wildcards that could make this a top 2-4 team in the conference or keep them middle of the pack with inconsistent play. Will be fun to watch.
While Pepper's is an outstanding talent, it's hard to compare him to Woodson and Howard who made big plays in big games. Let's see how he performs against Wisconsin, MSU and OSU this year before we put him so far up the list. Elite talent doesn't always equate to being a clutch play maker and the type of player that rises to the top against the best competition.
This program has been given plenty of breaks. The inability to recruit difference makers and leaders for this program has been our downfall. We need a significant change in the program if we want to be a consistent top tier program. I love Beilein, but where we are at in year 8 of his program is extremely disappointing and at 63 years old, it seems like now is the time to make a change rather than another 2-3 years of this level of play.
Frustrating to see guys like Vito Brown and Vince Edwards make plays for other teams and we considered them not worthy of a scholarship?? Also frustrating to see Jaylen Brown, Jamaal Murrey or other high level targets that we missed on playing well as we are sorely lacking elite level talent/athleticism on this team. Great win today, but ceiling doesn't seem very high for this group.
I think this class is all about pushing the numbers up near 30. We really need to close this class with 5-8 quality recruits that can be on team next year to learn from the experience that is going to be on the field next year. This class will set the tone as to whether Harbaugh reloads or rebuilds at some level in 2017.

After watching the bowl game, it's difficult to set high expectations for next year's team. Defense is the main reason as OSU & KSU just moved up and down the field at will. I think the hire creates optimism for the program going forward, but next year is still going to be a challeging year with all the road games on the schedule.
