Sometimes mods ban you becuase they disagree with your opinion, and they incorrectly infer that by further explicating your unpopular opinion, you are attempting to incite others.
Chris Paul.
He is better in Roto and head to head.
Won't kill you in free throws like LeBron. Also if you are in a league with A/T you automatically win that category.
Not to mention the insane number of steals and assists he gets is equivalent to having two decent players in those categories.
CP3 all the way.
I always do something wrong every time I go to Blimpy Burger, just so i can get yelled at. Its all a part of the experience. Although i did see Kevin Grady go in there totally botch his order and no one said anything to him.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I am seriously elated right now.
A million thank yous to John, Manny, DeShawn, and all the guys for making it so the University had to build one. WOOOO!
Lloyd isn't emotionless. He laughed and waved at me the other day when I was driving and he was in the oncoming lane. It was early in the morning and I was preparing for a 3 hour drive to pick up some friends and BOOM there's Lloyd. I'm sure my facial reaction was priceless.

Epic Marty quote:
"We'll take the wind."
That is pretty much the defining moment in his career as a Lions coach and sums up Lions football for the decade since Barry Sanders retired.
Edited it to be fluff n stuff on Ricardo. Also to ask about his brother Chazz and see if there are any creepers out there who know any info about the kid.
It would be fine if you were being objective but you're not.
Just because you're taking the, let's call it "not-michigan" side of this little debate we're having here doesn't make you objective.
Making statements such as "We are not Miami (FLA), Thug U, or whatever." or, "1. using a closed fist and uppercutting the ND player under the face mask 2. Doing it in clear daylight." and essentially calling a player bush league, is about as far from objective as you can get. You're rushing to judgment, equating Mouton with those "thugs" at Miami Fla, and saying he intended to uppercut a Notre Dame player in order to hit him in the face (as can be inferred by the statement "using a closed fist" and "under the facemask").
You watched the tape and formulated an opinion about what happened as did several other people. Its all subjective, as we all bring our biases, with regards to what it dirty and what isnt. What is a punch and what isnt.
IME you're overreacting to a play which A. Wasn't anything at all. B. Wasn't called a penalty on the field. C. Happened multiple times in this game and every rivalry game before this game.
Dude watch the tape again Mouton's hand was partially open. He slapped the guy. It was not a closed fisted punch. So no suspension, no nothing. Just two football players going at it giving it their all.
Dude. Did ever ever watch Jake Long play? I love the guy, and I loved him because he would drive somebody to the ground the whistle blows and he would still be pushing/walking on them, not letting them get up. Woodley would do the same thing.
All of this shit is within the context of the game. They hit each other. The hitting doesnt always stop when the whistle blows.
Players gets shots in at each other all game. They scratch, claw, punch, slap, and battle each other play in and play out. When its Michigan Notre Dame and you're jamming a receiver at the line, or blocking someone, the play doesnt end when the whistle blows it ends when you drive that sucker into the ground. Its intrinsically football.
Obviously no penalty was called. Not on Mouton. Not on Cissoko who shoved Floyd down right in front of the ref, and not on #74 who pushed a michigan player to the ground after the whistle. So obviously the refs know its a rivalry, shit gets heated and its gonna happen. Its all apart of football.
Neg me all you want but these are rivalry games. These players dont like each other and they are going to battle to the whistle and beyond. Jake Long was famous for punishing his opponents after the whistle as was Charles Woodson. Braylon Did it. Branch did it. Woodley did it.
You can call all of those guys bush league.
I call them football players.
Would you take away Charles Woodson's Heisman because he clearly punched another player, David Boston, on the helmet.
^See? He punched him.
Its a physical sport. People run as fast as the can into each other. Players hate each other. There is pride involved and so if two players are battling it out and happen to take a few shots at each other then so be it.
That's called football. If it gets too rough for you then stop watching.
Then we better suspend Brandon Graham for a few games because he and the wmu left tackle were slapping each others helmets during the wmu game well after the play.
Fuck the slow-mo. Shit doesnt happen in slow mo.
In real time it looks like nothing. He pushed his facemask. wooooo big deal. if u played football you'd know this shit happens on almost every play. did any of u guys watch braylon vs chris gamble? when they were smacking each other's helmets, and coming to blows on every play? what about plax vs david terrell? when they were going at it. what about the notre dame player #74 shoving a michigan player to the ground well after the play in this same game?
if you're gonna call that shit then u might as well start calling college football a panzy league like the nfl and start calling roughing the passer on plays like the one vince wilfolk had on trent edwards last night on monday night football.
its called passion. deal with it.
Bring on the buckeyes.
I look forward to November 21st.
Terelle Pryor jogs over to the sideline in the first quarter panting, down 14, and Jim Tressel angrily yells, "What's the matter you beat them easily last time!" To which Pryor responds...
"These ain't the same guys."
I have three comments...
The officiating for this game favored Notre Dame IME.
The officiating in this game was also good.
Charlie Weiss is a whiny fucking douche bag.
I had no problem with Jordan's speech. I wish I had one hundredth of the competitive juices that flow through that man's veins. He's the greatest for a reason, and that reason is that he never forgets when someone doubts him and he is then able to channel those negative remarks into a singular focus of being the greatest athlete that ever lived. No other athlete in any other sport had the ability to dominate a game in the way Jordan could, and though I will acknowledge that part of the reason for that is that basketball is unique among sports in that one individual can win you games or carry an entire team on his shoulders (see Lebron's Cavs in 2007). MJ is the GOAT. If you don't believe me, watch the flu game, or any one of his moments that we all remember. MJ has had more defining moments in one single career than most all other athletes combined. Watch the fucking flu game.
I agree with you wholeheartedly except for your comments about the officials.
I actually thought that they did a pretty good job.
There was a lot of battling on both sides in the passing game. Michigan's corners were riding ND's receivers quite a bit but Floyd and Tate were pushing off just as much. The refs did a good job of keeping their flags in their pockets and letting them battle it out.
The only really bad calls they made were the extremely late pass interference call on DWar, the no call when a ND player bumped into Greg Matthews after he called for a fair catch and the taunting call on ND. The taunting call might have been a culmination of several different taunts, but if you're not going to call any other taunts then don't call that one, espcially since that one wasn't as bad as Tate staring at our defense holding the ball out while walking into the endzone.
They called it both ways and made bad calls against both teams which essentially canceled each other out. They got it right at the end of the game on the squib kick and on the review of ND's first touchdown.
This game was decided by the play on the field and it came down to two evenly matched teams and the team who made the last big play was going to win the game, and fortunately for Michigan, Tate to Matthews was the last big play of the game.
This is why you don't RABBLE RABBLE over-react because you know that people at the freep read mgoblog as a way of keeping their fingers on the fan pulse. People say OMG SKY IS FALLING and the freep pulls it from the blog and doesn't ever check back to see whether or not you've changed your epinion
Good work sir!
The bit about "except that such activities may be monitored for safety purposes or conducted by the institution's strength and conditioning personnel who have department wide duties," is where I think U of M is safe in this whole thing.
Barwis monitors these voluntary workouts, and I'm certain the he makes his presence known at each and every one of these sessions. Because he is so closely involved in all of the goings on of the football program, I'm sure that it might have felt like to some that due to Barwis' general Barwisness that these workouts were mandatory, when in fact they are not, and being the S&C coach, Barwis is well within his NCAA mandated right to be there.
I also wouldn't be shocked if Barwis had one of those memories where he has the ability to know just by walking around the weight room who was there and who skipped out. It's voluntary, but if you don't show up you'd better believe that Barwis is going to work your ass off during the mandatory portion of the work week.
I'm pretty basic when it comes to the food I cook on game days. Honey BBQ or hot wings, kabobs with marinated chicken breasts, mushrooms, green and red pepper, and sweet onions. Usually nachos w/chesse, but if I'm feeling adventurous, then I'll make a spinach-artichoke dip.
