Well, I don't need KenPom or Bracket Watch to tell me what my eyes see.  Its been bad basketball for about a month.  Yeah, they were like the last team in last year, so I wasnt far off.  They play soft, cant shoot, cant defend or rebound.  Shooting 30 3's with no shooters is not go basketball.  But because its not Ellerbe or Amaker, who cares.  So lets set the standard at that.

NCAA? This team won't sniff the NCAA. They will be lucky to win 6 conference games. Time for change after this year.
NIT Team

Problem is its not fun basketball to watch.  Too many soft players and no leaders.  Average team at best and looks to be this way for years to come.  They reflect the coach.  The fact that Lonergan even plays, over a recruited player is ridiculous.  This is an NIT team all the way.  Zak Irvin never gets benched for sloppy play and he needs to be sat down as senior if he continues this play.  And to have the ball twice at Iowa and get no shot and a 3 by Wilson is terrible coaching.

Yes, a nike logo on the

Yes, a nike logo on the scoreboard would make the experience so crappy.  Keep it clean? lol

Should Advertise

A nike swoosh, jumpman or coke ad on scoreboard would be fine with me.  Bring in $ and I would say 90% of fans wouldn't care.  Its a fake outrage amongst fans for no reason.

I think

the program will go on still.  He's bounced around.

Stunning?

Coaches come and go, thats the nature of the business.  ASU, warmer weather, better chance for success.  Warde will hire a good one.

Yeah.....

Sam Webb has no clue on this one.  He knows the DL starters 3 months before the season. LOL

It's obvious you didn't play It's obvious you didn't play sports. No way this was planned in advance huh? It's college baseball. Ups and downs
I hope this is a joke. I hope this is a joke. Dumbest thing I've read in awhile
With a mindset of

it doesnt really matter because its a toss up anyway and even if we win, IU beats us by 20 tomorrow officially sending us to the NIT.  This team is too frustrating to watch.   They could look really good today, then we all know tomorrow, they will be 5-30 on 3s, not play defense, miss layups and look like a MAC team again.

Doubt it

Too many other teams with more and better wins and higher RPI.  Every bracket expert would have to be wrong.  Team is what it is, poorly coached and lacking talent this year.

You're going to be very

You're going to be very disappointed then.  MSU, Maryland, OSU, Wisky, Purdue are already better then us.  Penn St has a better recruiting class too.

Yes, its easy to see if you

Yes, its easy to see if you know anything about this team.  Donnal is not good, despite 4 games he scored over 15 points in.  Doyle, Chatman, Wilson and Wagner contribute zilch.  Dawkins and MAAR were last minute recruits with no major interest that are now major contributors, which is bad.  Irvin and Walton are inconsistent and we have a player who was a D3 player, playing major minutes.  If you think just because all will be back, that makes them better, think again.

Thats why KenPom is just

Thats why KenPom is just ridiculous.  His stats are meaningless.  To use his stats to justify anything is pointless.  Their offense is bad.  They cant shoot, they miss layups, etc.  I'm sure "KenPom" takes into account the Minny's and Youngstown St's of the world too.  When we play good teams, like RichRod, our offense sucks.

Yes he did, but...

Where is ti going.  We will more than likely miss the tourney 3 years in a row since and we are getting out recruited by MSU, Purdue, Penn St, OSU and Illinois now.  He has had too many recruiting misses, that were supposed to pan out and havent.  Plus he gets rid of Max, in favor of Donnal and Doyle, and Max is 6th man of year.  Time for a change

We have a problem.  Chatman,

We have a problem.  Chatman, Wilson, Doyle, Dawkins, MAAR, Wagner are all average at best players.  Not game changers.  Walton cant shoot anymore and Irvin is lost most games.  Wagner was our best big man vs Charlotte, Texas and NC St and now never players.  Teske and Davis are incoming projects that wont play or one will go to prep school.  Simpson seems okay.  The future is bleak to say the least.  Lack of Talent, too many projects, no accountability.  He had a few good years, but to be in a spot where we miss last year, this year and more than likely next year in the NCAA is ridiculous.  We were getting blown out by good teams with LeVert (Xaxier, SMU, Uconn) and last year lost to NJIT and EMU at home!

I was following up until our

I was following up until our loss to Iowa, but we are officially done.  We probably will be in the same position next year and the year after.  We are bringing in MAC Level talent and projects that take 3-4 years to turn into average players.  When our coaches visit guys with offers from Harvard and Winthrop, I tend to lose faith.

I assume you're joking?  Our

I assume you're joking?  Our offense is shoot a long three 10 seconds into shot clock or one person stand and dribble for 27 seconds, then shoot a long 3 contested.  We lack talent all around.

Excuse central.  Beilein

Excuse central.  Beilein needs to understand its not the extra 5 seconds, its the lack of talent.  Program has become stale, time for a change.

Bump in the road? Lack of Bump in the road? Lack of major talent, can't shoot against good teams, no defense, etc. we are years away again
Transition If they don't make the tourney next year as a top 4ish seed, then it's time for a coaching change
Retire on his own terms? Not Retire on his own terms? Not happening.
Relax

selection sunday is next weekend.  There are games to be played still.  Win 2 more games somehow and they are in.

You are mistaken

Coaches would be lining up.  Look at Georgia Tech, championship game in 2004, then nothing.  Beileins been here going on 10 years and the program is on the decline.  Its easy to see.

Donnal

He is not a real option.  He's had like 3 good games and 90% of his buckets are him alone receiving a pass for an open layup. He cant rebound, doesnt play good Defense and most of the time looks like he has never played the game before. And missed 2-3 layups per game.  Beilein has missed on Doyle, Donnal, Wilson and Chatman.  And recruiting next year is average at best.  The seat is warm.

If you really believe this, no one can help you.

Rather lose by 30 in first Rd than win NIT every year.  NIT is pointless unless you're a mid major.

Uh, Chatman can't shoot,

Uh, Chatman can't shoot, dribble, pass or play defense.  Pretty essential things to play basketball.  He is lost out there.

That only puts us at 20-12

That only puts us at 20-12 with 2 good wins all year.  That wont cut it with a high RPI and a bad SOS as well.

Actually, UM is 16-7, the NMU

Actually, UM is 16-7, the NMU game wont count towards tourney since its D2.  At best we are looking at 18-12 or 19-11 with 2 good wins and a high RPI and an SOS that is around 60.  That won't cut it.  We have too many MAC level players.

Wins & RPI

Problem is we have 16 D1 wins this year, 2 good wins.  High RPI.  If he misses tourney this and next, its time to move on.  Getting beat by 30 to MSU at home in year 9 is ridiculous.  With the resources and money UM has, its ridiculous to keep recruitng MAC Level talent.  He has had a lot of non-impact recruits (Vogrich, Smot, Brundage, Christian, McLimans, Bielfledt, Doyle, Donnal, Chapman, Wilson).  That is a lot of misses.  And next year doesnt look better.
